  • nah, waiting on the world is quite okay. I guess the thing about solo piano arrangements is that it can add too much additions that divert from the original else it'll be too simple. The closest pieces are dreaming and slow dancing, which work great for piano. I find belief attempt on piano can often dramatize a bit much with too low octave thunder bass rather than to emulate the smoother treble / mid bass effect in the original.

  • All is good except for Waiting on the world timing which seems off and sloppy tho.

  • This is absolutely beautiful. Well done, my friend.

  • You are amazing, gave me goosebumps :)

  • PLEASE put a lesson how to play Slow Dancing.

    It was INCREDIBLE!

  • This made my day

  • Is this the actually written piece that john's piano player plays? My friend is trying to find the piano music to his song and I am gonna tell him to watch this video if so!

  • @Ridespinnerz22 I just made up everything I'm playing here, so while they might be close to what John Mayer's keyboard player does during concerts, that wasn't the intent.

The closest one is probably Dreaming with a Broken Heart, there's really only one way to play that "right."

  • wow great job man, im jealous

  • You seem a perfect boy! Please marry me! :-)

It sounds really good, congratulations. I will show all your videos, thank you!

  • unfortunately, the sound quality is not so good.

  • damn relxing

  • Well done, man! You're amazing

  • I actually really enjoyed this! And I don't say this often, because most people rape the music, but you did a really great job!

  • Hehe on the music stand in the background, I see a copy of the piano music for Bohemian Rhapsody. Same music I have! Lol nice job on the piano!

  • You are seriously amazing!

  • I really enjoyed listening to this, every interpretation...great job. The Garritan Steinway sounds a lot better than what I thought it would...very expressive, and I love the sustain resonances in it. They really show through while you are playing "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room" and "Belief", esp.

  • you are a BEAST on the keys man. I really enjoyed listening.

  • man every single one of those songs are soo well done its crazy, you should do a tutorial for each one it woujldnt take too long and you would be helping so many people, thanks

  • could you also put the full version of free falling on youtube? it sounds really good. keep on going like this!

  • Beautiful.

  • yo you make these songs sound so good. You should right some music, or right these songs out

  • *write*

  • woww how did i not catch that

  • That is amazing!! I love John Mayer, and his music, and what you played there is beautiful. :)

  • this is great!

  • Its Tim Henman playing John Mayer tunes! Top notch job mate!

  • OMG your soo wright!

  • OH my gosh!! FREE FALLING WAS SOO BEAUTIFUL!!

Please send me sheet music, or notes or anything.

wow that was the best covers.

i love your covers of john mayers songs :)

  • I LOVE YOU!

  • I suppose you can train your ear to an extent, but mostly it comes natural. I haven't had any lessons on any instrument, but I can work out a song on piano or guitar in 5 minutes.

  • i wish so much, that i had that gift. But i just can't hear it by ear. How do you do?

  • Excellent work, truly beautiful. (Y). very impressive. well done.

    Ashwin

  • so your kinda like my inspiration here,

    I absolutely love John Mayer

and you playing his songs on the piano totally makes my day

    you're incredible.

    no lie (:

  • Hey do you have any advice for someone who can read music and is trying to learn how to play by ear? I want to learn to play like this, but only being able to read music is limiting me..

  • Comment removed

  • so untrue

  • you should download a simple riff, and try to play it on the keyboard, like you need to train your ear, you slowly gets better, so practice!

  • wow man

    all that by ear?

    congrats

i play johns stuff on guitar and they are all a bitch to learn

i am in the process of learning dreaming with a broken heart on piano

    great stuff though

and u didnt butcher belief, you blew it out of the water literally

and great job on WOTWTC.... did u play the bridge to waiting on the world to change? its hard as hell on guitar

  • Can you tell something about the requirements of Garritan Steinway? Till now I'm using Native Instruments Akoustik Piano and it uses about 15-20% CPU (T8400).

    What system are you using?

    Keep on playing,

    BurtaN

  • I couldn't ever get Akoustik Piano to work on my setup. If you can run Akoustik Piano you should have no problem with this the garritan steinway. I'm running it on an old 2.0ghz (T2500) Core Duo Macbook using Logic as a host and it runs perfectly. As long as you're streaming the samples from a 7200rpm drive you should encounter no problems. It's made to run on very modest systems, and it does.

  • Bravo John! Amazing job with this. Look forward to hearing more!

    Gary Garritan

  • My compliments,, Wish I could play like that:D Keep up the good work:)

  • Absolutely Stunning,, Did you play this by ear?? If so you are amazing:D

  • Yeah I did it all by ear.

  • you are amazing.

    simply amazing.

    is this all by ear?

  • Your better than John!!!

  • Is this Garritan Steinway Basic, Standard or Pro?

  • Pro - Under the Lid perspective.

  • Awsome..You HAVE to do Stop This Train..;)
