Original Mountain Marathon 2008 OMM

Love the shot at 4:00. We were one of the pairs that took the path down the opposite side of that ghyll and had to cross further downstream where it flattened out. It was seriously epic but we got across and back to Keswick for Cow Pie at the pub. Came as a shock when we turned on the news though to hear that 2000 racers were 'unaccounted for'!!!

Good on you lads,wind ,rain,sleet or snow.get and do it , thats half the fun..i must admit I dont fancy running in that weather any more but im still on the hills in all weathers,but this time at a walking pace,with the intention of being out for longer periods,so it rains a little and may be a slight breeze,or a little chilly,Thats the point of being there. well done ,and sod the Media.

Although I watched it from the armchair of my house through the media, I grew up in the Lakes and appreciate that you all wouldn't be up there if you didn't have the passion for it. Well done for completing your section and thanks for the insight of your days event.
