  • As long as they are worshiping God that is what counts. and I happen to enjoy this

  • That is not all that counts. If we claim to be Catholic, we must worship according to the mind of the Church. Even granted that the participants in this Mass are offering this in good faith, this falls woefully short of that standard.

  • All you are doing is embarrassing yourself. It does not matter how they worship God. They are happen to be great singers and musicians and instead of you seeing that and complimenting them on that you go and criticize them. They are praying to God with their performance.

  • I am a musician myself and a very Catholic individual. In fact, I play the organ most Sundays at my Parish here in Robinson, Illinois. If you look for "Seed, Scattered, and Sown" You will find me on "You Tube". I am also Charismatic and believe strongly in the Holy Mass as well. The song that the group is doing is in the Oregon Press Missal which we use and is beautiful. I hope I get the priviledge to go and worship with these people one day or better, play the keyboard with them!!

  • @jesusthroughmary Who are you to make that call?

  • @trancer2412 An objective observer with access to the authentic teachings of the Church with regard to sacred music and the Sacred Liturgy. I didn't make the call; the Church did.

  • why are we so judgemental on faith of our brothers and sisters? it hurts me to listen to this sweet faith uplifting song from our brothers and sisters then read such a selfish comment from one of our brother who doubts the sincerity of his brethren simply because he goes to the traditional Latin mass! God's love is more big than these little selfish fights we try to bring in the church. Let God do his work please. Brothers and sisters you rock in this song and you have blessed many!!!

  • He said "I do not doubt the sincerity of the people".

  • While I see your point, I cannot quite agree with you. I would say, and perhaps you might agree, that any music that brings our hearts and minds to God, and that gives glory to our God, is about as far from embarrassing as I can imagine. To each his own. It matters not how we approach God, but that we do.

  • can i get the lyrics of this song?

  • I put the lyrics of the song in your site.

  • When my uncle died of pancreatic cancer on the 20th. this song was on my mind when I saw him before he died.

  • When my grandfather was in the hospital, we were listening to a CD with this song on it.. he died to this song.. i cry everytime i hear it.

  • very uplifting song indeed. one of the choirs at St. Kevin Church in Los Angeles did this song at the 9am Sunday mass last year.

I will say that this song is best performed on the Second Sunday of Lent. One of the readings for the 2nd Sunday of Lent is based on that song.

  • @erpster79 Isnt that the other way around? Isnt the song based on the reading and not the other way around?

  • @trancer2412: probably. I think I got it mixed up. but thanks for pointing that out. my choir group for the 5pm saturday mass at st. kevin church in los angeles, ca got a chance to sing that song once during lent and for the divine mercy sunday vigil mass in 2009.

  • Very good!
