Salvador Sufrate published this move in "The Magic of the La Plata Magic Center - Vol.2" in 2002. The move is Salvador's not Ricky's.

@liquidsn Not sure about that, I'll ask a friend of mine, he has the notes. From what I heard the mechanics are pretty much exactly the same. They both independently came up with it, but sadly for Ricky, Salvador's was printed a year before it hit penumbra.

tobelli la única manera de que este control sea de Ricky Smith, sería que esto fuera una idea paralela, algo que en magia pasa algunas veces. Lo que suecede aquí es que el control y la forma en que se llega al mismo es exactamente igual al control y la técnica de Salvador Sufrate y te puedo asegurar que Sufrate hace este control desde hace más de 10 años (ésta es la primera técnica que vi hacer por salvador)

Me gustaría que algún día lo puedas conocer y así verás que el usa el abanico como cobertura para muchas de sus técnicas.

Vuevo a decirte no se si a Ricky Smith se le ocurrió ésta técnica. Vos sabés si Ricky Smith le da craditos a Salvador en el DVD? o si dice que Salvador Sufrate hace al parecido? porque yo tengo entendido que si, y de ser así creo con más razón que sín dudas se inspiró en la idea de Sufrate.
