Astroworld is still the most amazing Six Flags i've ever been to. SUCH a shame that it was torn down. I have so many memories there from when I was a kid. I remember pretty much everything we did the day that we went there. Extremely poor move on their part; if only they could see how many people that pissed off.

Astroworld was destroyed by the Hurricanes right?? I totally forgot Six Flags had a park there. I'm sorry as a frequenter of Six Flags Great America that would totally suck @#$% if that happened here. Are there plans to rebuild that u know of?
No it was shut down in october 2005 because it wasent making enought profit they said the land it's self was worth more probly because it's rite across reliant and the astrodome.
Althought they still havent done anything with the land that sucks i miss astroworld!!!

What is left to say about a place that was a dear and yes, an old friend? For me, Astroworld is and always will be part of the fabric of my life. It doesn't matter what generation you are part of, if you enjoyed the park and the experiences you made there, you are part of the history of Astroworld. Let the memory be part of what makes you special. I loved the old lady and though she is gone (and there will NEVER be another on like her) her memory makes me smile and I am 12 years old again!
Fiesta Texas is OK, but Astroworld was an old friend to many people. Of course you would not understand, because you don't even know how to use capital letters. But, since I read you statement, I am not surprised. Plus "Rules" is spelled with an "S".
oh, hell ya! houston is one of the bigest citys in texas! and ya, it needs a fuckin amusment park! and it was there for like 70 fuckin years! why the hell would they tear something that old down! domb cocksuckers
Apparently there were too many problems with parking and they were going to use the land for something else but its just been sitting there for over two years. Also, I think the owner just didnt want to put up with all the debts anymore
Man astroworld was the shit back then I miss it so much I grew up with it I wonder why they took it down :-(
