  • Afghanistan is the heart of Asia if there is trouble in Afghanistan whole Asia will be in trouble. And the invaders knw it very well so they are there to control Asia.

  • Dear Brothers and Sisters.

As long as America is in Afghanistan neither the governament nor the children like these can benefit.

Take a closer look at Iraq and Palestine!

All becuase of USA. May God guied the US Power Holders and Its civilians to wake up and shake a bit and stop what they are doing to such poor countries.

  • You cannot compare Iraq and Palestine to Afghanistan. They are all very different situations; however, the situation for Afghans was much worse under the Taliban than it will ever be under the United States. There was nothing for the Afghans under the Taliban. The Taliban wouldn't even allow the UN and other NGOs to feed the population. The children are benefiting because the United States and Coalition Forces are there.

  • Really Fischercr? Do you believe that?

Listen, I am not justifying the actions of the Taliban. I hate them with unmeasurable hatred...but who set up the Taliban?

Why were the Taliban invited to Texas in the late 90s to discuss the building of an oil pipeline by UNOCAL?

The Taliban is an invention of the US to justify the presence in Afghanistan.

  • The United States did not set up the Taliban. The United States provided a great deal of aid to mujahideen commanders, especially the fundamentalist ones, through the Pakistani ISI during the Soviet Invasion. It should be noted that the United States did not get to choose which mujahideen commanders received aid. However, the mujahideen are not the Taliban; although, some mujahideen ended up supporting the Taliban, but the one that received the most aid from the ISI, Hekmatyar, did not.

  • The Taliban was created by the Pakistani ISI and the Saudis. During the Soviet Invasion, thousands of Afghan refuges moved across the border to Pakistan where they lived in horrible conditions in refuge camps. In the camps, the Wahhabi Saudis and the Pakistanis set up madrasas, or religious schools/military camps. They indoctrinated the students with fundamentalist Islamic beliefs and they mobilized the taliban, or students. In 1994, they moved into Afghanistan.

  • Yes, UNOCAL, a defunct company that should not be confused with the United States government, met with members of the Taliban. For awhile, the United States government didn't have a policy on Afghanistan until the media revealed their blatant disregard for human rights, especially those of women.

  • The Taliban is not the reason why the United States is in Afghanistan. September 11, 2001 and al Qaeda are the reasons why the United States is there. The Taliban is separate from al Qaeda. The Taliban gave sanctuary to al Qaeda, but the Taliban didnt attack us on September 11. Its aim is limited to Afghanistan, and its members are typically illiterate thugs. The members of al Qaeda are typically very intelligent Arabs and they have much broader goals.

    I apologize for the length.

  • the US is in Afghanistan because we just wanted the oil that was underneath your land and President Bush thought you had nuclear bombs!

  • Taliban was not created by Pakistan they already existed and Pakistan only gave them weapons and some training to fight against USSR on THEIR request. don't you the nature of afghans they were and are always busy in fighting when there is no foreign invasion they fight against each other.

  • Pakistan did not help the Taliban fight the Soviets because they had left in 1989. The Taliban emerged in Afghanistan in 1994 when the country was in the middle of a civil war between various mujahideen warlords.

It's true. The creation of the Taliban is open to interpretation. I maintain that the Taliban was created by Pakistan because the original members of the Taliban were students at fundamentalist Pakistani madrassas. Also, the Pakistani ISI gave the Taliban significant support.

  • and why they moved to Pakistan and not to any other neighboring country like Iran and others? Pakistan never invited them to bear their burden on its economy. Pakistan it self is a poor country but even that welcomed millions of afghans with open heart.

  • Do you think the US would do that! I am a noble American and we did this because we thought they were good guys or we were trying to get them to have peace with us! We just wanted the gas that was over in the middle east! Get your facts strait!

  • Long live to children of Polestine ,Afghanistan,Iraq, and all those country children sufer becuse of war.
