Is this TV good for gaming? I need an upgrade. Currently I use a PC monitor for my PlayStation 3. My monitor has a contrast ratio of 1000:1, and it doesn't look bad at all. The picture quality is crisp and good but I need a bigger screen so would you recommend this TV?
I heard AOC LCDs had a bad contrast ration (between 500:1 to 4.000:1, compared to an LG that has an average or 30.000:1), But I'm not sure if that is really true and/or noticeable while watching something or playing games... But I'd like to ask, how is the image - contrast, brightness and etc - on your TV? It would really help me, thanks...
In my opinion, the image is very clear (considering the cheap price). I realize that a more prfessional TV like an LG HDTV has a higher quality rather than a cheaper HDTV. But higher quality means higher price. I think that the AOC HDTV is a good buy mainly because you get greatness from a somewhat cheap buy. That is just my opinion. The brightness, of the TV, can be adjusted in the Main Menu Settings. So my conclusion: The AOC HDTV is perfect for a low budget cost. Ask me if you need anything.
To me, it is better with an HDMI cable. You can still use your standard AV cables, but I prefer HDMI. My old TV was just a flatscreen TV..... no HD set to it. I will try to make a video just for you... :) You just need to remind me, because I am very forgetful.
I like the stylish looks. I play Xbox 360 games on it, and I use an HDMI cord for the picture and sound. I haven't noticed any grainy-type picture. In my opinion, this TV is the same exact picture and sound quality as the big name brands like Sony, Vizo, ect. But... this TV is more than a fraction of the price. I have had it for over two months and have cherrished every minute I've spent with this TV. I would highly recomend this TV for anyone and everyone. Btw, what does "nice steal" mean?
My TV has no lag what so ever. I actually play MW2 online and There isn't any lag nor any grainy look to it. This purchase is totally up to you. I'm just telling you what I have experienced. So.... I want to you to buy the TV that suits you best. Don't let me influence you.
For this TV, I believe that the sound quality is phenomenal. But that's just my opinion. It has really great picture quality and it's at a really low price. I play Xbox with this TV and I can't tell the difference in picture quality from my friend's 32'' Vizio. (Vizio is a great HDTV company)
All in all, this is affordable, great picture quality, and great sound quality. If you need anymore help, just let me know. Thanks.

@oddrandomthings
well does it lag at all? i dont want to be playing modernwarfare 2 while i have terrible lag. It seems like its too good to be true- that deal.
So between a 1080p panasonic and aoc should i still get the aoc?
nice steal meant ya got a great steal for that price.

If I had experience with the Panasonic, then I would tell you my opinion on it. So, all I have to say is: Good luck with your TV purchase :)
