@memutic I've looked at it repeatedly. at 1:47 it looks all the world like a solpugid, but I'm thinking it could also be a termite soldier. It was definitely NOT the combative hexagenia.
Appreciate your vid and detailed feeding behavior. While Odonate adults have been popular for longer, the nymphs hold greater facination for some of us; so much easier to study and observe. Tks.
on the last part, I love the yellow one spirit. First he was almost eaten then he was like " you wanna eat me bitch?" and came back and fight too bad he lost :(
erm..i got a question today i found a black dragonfly nymph is it dangerouse for the baby shrimps? If its not.. i will let it be...it looks so cute with that two big eyes!
@DemonDrug95 i found a nymph that looks like a dragonfly nymph in my fish tank today. it has devastated my Red cherry shrimp and yamato shrimp population in the last few weeks. got rid of this thing as soon as i found it.
Memutic's next linked video shows its a mayfly nymph. Funny how a little badass like that can turn into something as fragile and transitory as a mayfly.

1:47 Great video, but I have a soft spot for solpugids. That kinda hurt.

@ghrankenstein did you see a solpugid in this video? I think you might mean the hacklegill mayfly nymph, Eddy.

It's a Mayfly nymph. The user who uploaded this has a separate video titled "Hacklegill Mayfly Nymph", if you would like to see more footage.

Depends on what kind of dragonfly, but probably it will try to eat your baby shrimps.
