  • the big orgainzations are sticking it to us good. Land of the free is such a lie! We are being controled so we can work for the man. I hate this current situation!

  • I Love You!

  • Truly inspiring! Your work is incredible! I have wanted to do my own home from recyclables for some time...you have given me a better 'eye' on what can be used for what!!!!

  • I want to buy this guy a beer, or cup of herbal tea or whatever he wants. What an inspiration.

  • Well, ya can't pull stuff out of landfills these days, it's now against "the law".

  • I love this man.

  • ...cooler than super....

  • guess ppl dont know how destructive hallibuton really is thumbs down!!!!

  • Wow. You are an inspiration.

  • makes me sick to see the waste here because of building permit requiements.....you're screwed if you plan on recycling

  • It would be great to see more of the yanks can do attitude applied to stuff like this.

  • This man is my hero! He can come and build in my town anytime!

  • I LOVE how Halliburton paid for it!! What a kick in their ass.

  • What a servant! I hope I can serve others as he has.

  • 0:21 - 0:27 LMAO! sponsored by whom?

  • I came across this video just looking around and I live just outside of Houston, what land do you put it on. I live in a trailer park and have just started growing my own food in containers becuase buying food is getting harder. I SAY BRAVO to this man for helping others learn how to help themselves instead of living off the american public (ie food stamps and such...)

  • I love this info .God bless a great man for what he does . I would like to see more info on this.

  • I hope you will visit Japan and help the people rebuild there!!

  • didnt even watch! when i saw the name Haliburton I cut that shit rite off.

  • **** These people are true EcoCowboys! Visit us at wwwecocowboyscom ****

  • Living Smart (who did this video) is underwritten by Haliburton? "THE" Haliburton? Dick Cheney's company? The company he was with that did the bribary of Nigerian officials and for which he was indicted yesterday in Nigerian Courts?

    Really?

  • I feel sorry for his neighbors. Listening to that energy inefficient saw going 24 hours a day and a yard covered in junk would drive anyone crazy. Sorry, but housing codes are there to protect us from unsafe building. Recycling is a great thing, but noise pollution and building without inspections is not.

  • @SheOwnsFrodo you cannot build like this without the tools to make it more efficient, his neighbors LOVE him, I know him personally. ALL his houses are inspected and permitted!! Inspections for your information is one of the tactics used to continue the conventional method of shitty home building formed to make sure everyone gets a little padding in their pockets, please be part of the solution and stop with the negativity!

  • @SheOwnsFrodo I have seen a building inspector turn a blind eye to moldy structures and materials for money. The air was so thick with mold you could hardly breathe and all he was interested in was the thickness of pipe insulation. Inspectors are there to collect your loose cash and to make sure everybody makes the same mistakes the same way every time. Unhealthy or dangerous building is OK as long as the right people get paid. That's the reality in building and planning.

  • This is a real American Hero and amazing Haliburton doing a good thing.Wow

  • Halliburton is evil. Halliburton = Bush/Cheney + big oil. So they throw a fist full of dollars at projects like these? It doesn't mean they don't run around the world at the behest of our govt, victimizing anyone they want to, to further their oil concerns (pipes, other infrastructure, etc). People GET A CLUE. They are not your friends. The Progressive movement has been infiltrated by these pigs and most don't even see it and will not even research.

  • that woman has no business having 4 children she can' t even provide a home for on her own. each of the children will do the same. chill construction tho, i just don't support poor stupid people who contribute to overpopulation.

  • @S0u11ess i hope you never have to experience being downtrodden because then you will be unnecessarily hated by some heartless person like you did to this lady. shame on you. you should take back what you said to that woman. what are you, sick of being a human being? how about some compassion? heartless person you are. you have no business dissing that woman you dont know her or her situation. she could have been beaten since a child.

  • @vutEwa

Excuse me? She had FOUR children before she owned a home. That's cruel to the children, it shouldn't be allowed. People have no right bringing children into the world that they can't afford. Its unfair to taxpayers and more importantly the underprivileged children that will live an impoverished life due to this lady's poor choices.

  • @S0u11ess You're right about ONE thing, you ARE Soul-less. Rich children with parents that buy them everything but spend no time with them are a LOT worse off than poor children who's mother loves them a lot! You and Hitler have a lot in common! Congradulations!

  • @S0u11ess ...You must be soulless !! Heartless as well.... Babies are a gift and you have no business being so judgemental of others...and why not consider that it is the fathers responsibility to provide a home.....and overpopulation ?? Should your mother be judged for her part in populating ?? Give your head a shake, bud ..Or are you too smart and/or rich to realize how wrong and foolish that comment was ??

  • @ryanshecklerrox123

its cruel to bring children into a world when you can't provide for them. My parents had 2 children enough to replace themselves and not contribute to overpopulation. Also they owned a home when I was conceived. They had no intention of bearing children they couldn't provide for. Clearly this women has no concern for the planet, overpopulation, or the well being of the children she can't provide for.

  • @ryanshecklerrox123

I can judge these assholes all I like when I have to share a planet with them and they don't give a rats ass about overpopulation.

  • @S0u11ess maybe she is a single mom because the father died overseas or something not all single moms are food stamp cases......

  • @S0u11ess maybe she is a single mom because the father died overseas or something not all single moms are food stamp cases.

  • BRAVO

  • This guy needs to come to Detroit.

  • If most of the banks and ppl. who had lost their homes during the recent housing/mortgage bust, had built along these guidelines, they would still be in their homes. If they needed more room, they could have added space accordingly and w/in the range of affordability.

  • Zoning and codes are the enemy of innovation and the friends of poverty. Codes are used as a blunt instrument to crush good ideas before they can take root and flourish. More to the point you have monied industries (large home builders, bankers, large hardware store chains and rich elitist homeowners) that collude to prevent you from building smart or on a budget. They require you to use new materials, to build much larger than you want. They do not want you to be debt free or happy.

  • @GreedIsYourGod agreed. thats why i think i'm going to build me a cob-adobe home. they can't tell me i need a permit to "move dirt around on my own property". recycling is great for other things once the "dirt pile" in the shape of a building has been finished. so long as i never refer to it directly as a building, but instead something else like "dirt sculpture" they can't make me tear it down. that's my idea for passing the first nosy building inspector

  • @vutEwa Please check with your county, because here they charge $400 per cubic YARD for us to move our own dirt on our own property. This is through their permit process and if they find out that we moved some dirt to make a garden and a back yard area they will come and "red tag" us. We cannot sell our property and would get assessed fines and penalties for every month we do not pay these commies. Truth!

  • @GreedIsYourGod Anybody who tried to build anything like this in my country would be taken to court and forced to demolish the thing on pain of severe fines. Naturally, he'd have to cover the legal expenses as well. If he refused, the fine would be doubled until he would owe all the money in the world. On top of that would come ridicule on a national scale, probably a trip to a mental institution as well. Building companies own the law around here. You are so right.

  • @GreedIsYourGod actually, bulding codes make buildings safe for occupants...

as a carpenter i hate building under code. if something collapsed and the cause was underbuilding, i can go to jail.

  • @GreedIsYourGod well said brother, the meek shall inherit the earth!....Jah Rastafari!

  • who's code?? yours or "theirs"??

  • The only problem is if this would pass code?

  • @0001kd screw the code. we people, the regular people, every day people of this world should in unison consider all government on this planet irrelevant and useless. if we ignore the government and do not cower to their perceived power (they are not powerful on their own) in unison then we can turn this planet into a great place, free of wars, and free of government telling us how to build our homes to satisfy corporate slave masters who rule the planet.

  • @vutEwa And just one company who are slave masters is HALLIBURTON, who funds this project! Just food for thought. Truth!!

  • @GrenadeChick99 well, you may be right about that but this is a sound idea to build homes with available resources, those closest to you. Recycling is a good thing. Sometimes the process of recycling becomes a beautiful art form. The transformational efforts are well rewarding to exercise people's creative energies.

  • well done

  • This is awesome. I'm considering the idea of purchasing a small piece of property and having my home custom built, but also considering ideas on energy and natural resource conservation.

  • salvadoraugustus, you will find the reason the company insists items to be broken up, is that they would be afraid that people taking returned or broken goods might sue them should something happen and a person gets injured. There are always excuses from companies why they can not donate the items to others.

  • Wine cork floor? Did someone get smart or WHAT?? That mosiac floor was beautiful! This whole idea is providence in action - aka, people being really good neighbors. Talk about doing good doing something you love... ! Talk about SKILLS! Thank you for this video!!!

  • i work for food store Fred Meyer...you guys have no idea how much we trewing away because some part are broken or return products ....furniture,rugs,carpets,plastic,frames,glass,,,, we cant take nothing at home and for ex when we trew a chair we must broke it very well to be shore nobody can take it away....corporation is a source of evil even for nature .....we recycling jsut paper and plastic bags...so sad ...

  • boo haliburton!

  • Awesome! Thank you so much for sharing...

  • I also found this video very inspiring, there are so many benefits, along with creativity and respect for your property with style.

  • yay Halliburton!!!

  • i live in a town that has "clean up week" that got me to thinking of "recycled house" found this video

    inspiring

    really

maybe im just a weak hippie

  • I'm like a kid in a free candy store during clean up week! I grab everything that looks like it has some usable wood, metal, glass, or plastic in it.

I'm not doing professional building yet. But I have been doing interior work and building furniture for myself and for friends. Hey, try it. You can spend almost nothing and be creative and create unique items that amaze people.
