  • Can you fix the links for NanoStudio and NanoSync? I use Windows btw.

  • EXTRA *****

  • Wats better nano studio or music studio. dont wanna waste my itunes card buying the shit software? lol

  • @kanesta123 Nano Studio, I personally think it has a better sound quality, but it takes time to get used to. Music Studio is okay, but there isn't much you can do with that. Nano to me is more capable in making music, while MS is more like making orchestral Midis. Both are fine to use, but I think you'll be more happy with Nano.

  • @Kintaro506 Alright. Thanks for that. :-)

  • does it export midi,

  • Nice!

  • I have only one thing to say about this! Holy Flirking Schmit!!

  • check out my tune on bear music

  • they dont let you steal it :( it dosent work after you download it from installous

  • Put that song on iTunes an I'll by it

  • best ios app!

  • I bought this app its amazing !!!

  • please release this for android!!!!

  • OMG crazy!

  • Thats so awesome! I wish I could make a track that sounded THAT amazing!

  • still cant decide between this and music studio.guys what one i should download

  • Until the synth wobbles @ 0:43 that sounded like a dope hip hop beat lol.

  • I love this song, and i only buy nano studio becouse this song is so nice

  • madness....i'm chilled

  • Simply amazing this plus a few other videos of what this can do sold me on it and I got it and love it best sounding quality app ive heard I don't think any others have this polyphony down like nano. But the manual did say something about working in intua so can I take my song to beatmaker2 on iPod without using a pc?

  • NanoStudio changed my music-making life!!! Can't wait for the iPad version.

    Brilliant Job, Blip!

  • Who voted 'dislike' on this vid??? Nice spacey groove, homes.

  • And to think this is all done on a phone

  • @dmarkj22 bullshit ay. Alot of producers are turning to nanostudio for songs on the run. Technomology is insane.

  • @michaelC2585 Yes.

  • check out Edward William Mestler- reverbnation, all tracks made on logic pro, and soundcloud edward MESTLER- newnews and others all made on nanostudio

  • Is nano studio better than music studio and fl studio mobile

  • Awsome. Left me speechless!

  • omg fucking genious this is amazing!

  • Hey you got nice beat what is your number

  • Do you have to use a Wi-Fi connection to export or can you do iTunes File Sharing? Not everyone has Wi-Fi you know. Also can you make the new samples over the iTFS? And more more thing. Let's say I import a CAF file (GarageBand loop)...will NanoStudio automatically resample the loop to fit the BPM?

Your response is very valuable. Considering buying this while it's on sale.

  • @MediaByV Having to transfer samples via WiFi isn't the ideal solution for everyone, but iTunes file sharing isn't up to handing multiple files spread across a nested directory structure. You can get hold of a free app for your PC or Mac called iPhone Explorer. This allows you to transfer files via the USB cable, and you do not need to Jailbreak your iPhone or anything like that. NanoStudio doesn't do time stretch or pitch shift resampling at the moment.

  • @BlipInteractive Will time stretching and pitch shift resampling be included eventually, though? Are there any plans for such an update in the near future?

Either way, this is definitely the best portable DAW available imho. So much better than iMaschine. Once it has the ability to warp samples it could even be able to compete with the big guys like Ableton I'd say. I've really been neglecting my MIDI controllers since I got this thing.

  • @BlipInteractive Btw! The sound crashes with just 3 recorded tracks? Uh what's going on mate?

  • @IbraQuid It's difficult to tell exactly what might be going on, but even the older iPhone 3G should be able to play 5-6 tracks at once without problems. It might be worth joining the NanoStudio forum if you want to get more help.

  • @BlipInteractive I read the comments, but didn't quite understand the whole samples and beats stuff. In this video shows completely different beats than the one I bought. My question is... Are those edited or uploaded from somewhere else? Cause the default ones kinda suck + there's no variety on beats. So if there's a way of getting more beats I'll be grateful if you reply mate. On the other hand, in general the app rules. Thank you :-)

  • @IbraQuid The song in this video is in NanoStudio - try playing the demo project called 'Laid Back'. The synth line's a bit different because this video was done completely live, but the beat and the bassline are pretty well identical. If you need more samples for inspiration, there are a load of free Loopmasters samples available for download on the Blip Interactive website.

  • Is this better than fl studio mobile?

  • @TheTeChNoRaVeN Beatmaker 2 is.

  • Wow awesome I just picked it up for my ipad2. !!!! The app is dope and the song was fire!!!!!! Lol I learn more in 4 mins then I could've on my own thanks!!!

  • Nice

  • Hey guys finally got my first track uploaded even though i intended to start uploading months ago :3.

  • Precise touch and nice riff.

  • @ksabalo yes check out the website :)

  • @ksabalo Google "nanostudio pc", click the first result.

  • nice tune

  • Just bought it and it's awesome... I would love to be able to backup/import songs in the app format via dropbox

  • can you transfer your songs to a DAW?

  • @houseband239 You can export each individual track or part (song stem) as a set of wav files. Alternatively, you can export a MIDI file.

  • ths is sick! now i wanna iphone just for this!!!!

  • damn you got skills!

  • wow i am extremely impressed, very extensive!!!! reminds me of beatmaker2!!!

  • can you load a song or beat file from ipod/iphone or computer to remix or add a beat to and add samples

  • smooth

  • lol this guy is a freak at this

  • I used to have this for my 4th gen. Ipod touch. Plz plz plz make for Android!!!!!!! I would buy it!! Great app

  • i looked at my old phone when i watched this.... these words are wrong: what is wrong?

  • This is an amazing app. It only took me half an hour to get used to it. I'm still getting around all the controls though. It's a pretty big, expansive piece of software. But it's definately worth the price. Well done!

  • thats fucking sick lol so glad i bought an iphone 4 today

  • i like it

  • £8.99 <- Expensive :|

  • 1:26 - 2:11 <--- BEST PART

  • I wish this was available 10 or 15 years ago... After I got back home from a hard nights clubbing still chewing my lips off..

  • Im german I need a Tutorial in German pls.How make a beat for a Minimal song?Nano Studio is cool but not for beginners I think...sry :( Who can help me?

  • The future is now.

  • '2 oscillator subtractive synth with 8 note polyphony'

As soon as you said that I came

  • how do i use an envelope modulated LFO?

  • Can u make dubstep with it please respond

  • @dj3mpyre look at 0:40 ..

  • nice, but can it handle hard techno?

  • Looks cool! Want to make some cool smooth tunes like that. Smooth moove!

  • i have nothing to say. so i subscribed

    .

  • Can you sing on here along with the beat?

  • Unfortinatly the real demo on this app doesent includ the best part like always.

  • nanosync for this doesnt work very good

  • this looks so rad! i'll be getting my mits on this badboy first chance i get.

  • I am stoned off my head. I would let this guy jam on NanoStudio for hours on end. These sounds are tight.

  • I am interested in music making Apps. I am interested in Nanostudio. Could you tell me if it has a Piano Roll feature where you can draw in notes? Does it have a step sequncer? Basically I want an application where I dont physically have to play real time but can input notes be they drum notes, bass notes, or key notes.

  • Thats amazing mate fantastic musical skills and a top bit of kit! thanks for the demo

  • Unbelievable! If this thing can export tracks as midi... im sold!

If this were hook up with Ableton, like Serato did with "the bridge", it would take making music to a whole new level

  • Is this not a universal app? Why not? Looks perfect otherwise!

  • @MichaelBlue72 I'm getting there .. it's just a question of time. There's a big old update coming in the next few weeks to add more tracks and effects (and plenty of other good stuff) and then there's a universal iPad version firmly on the cards.

  • @BlipInteractive since i already bought the ipod touch/iphone version for my ipad, will i be able to download the universal version if it comes out?

  • @epicfailxx Yes, the universal update will be free if you've already bought NanoStudio for iPhone.

  • @MichaelBlue72 It actually already does work pretty well on the iPad. The graphics aren't 100% sharp, but I prefer the bigger keys anyway.

  • I've never seen a more comprehensive software synth with such a smooth learning curve, to it. Nano Studio is teh boom

  • Hey blip. Great stuff man but ive got a few questions, firstly you said in the next update that times have moved on from 2G...does this mean there will be nomore updates except for iphone/ipod 4? :'(

Secondly: im not sure what i did but my surge bass synth is just...gone. I wrote it unchanged to the C bank by accident and its gone :(

Oh and great app dude :) i use it loads!

  • @justfunnythings I'm going to continue to support 2G and iOS 3.1.2 devices for as long as Apple lets me, but you'll find that you won't be able to use as many effects and instruments on older hardware as you can with the iPhone 4.

  • @BlipInteractive I have another question. where can i get piano samples? because the default piano one can be sort of bland for certain projects.

  • @justfunnythings Agreed, the biggest limitation with using samples on the synth is that it only supports one sample stretched across the whole range rather than multisamples with key/velocity zones. I want to add something like SoundFont support after I get the iPad version done and this will enable much better sampled instrument sounds.

  • Need help.?

guy's just wanna ask if you can record a song in this app after you made your own mix in this nanostudio

  • @sepmang There are no proper audio tracks in the app yet but there is a workaround where you can record a very long sample (up to about 90 seconds) and then trigger that sample in the sequencer. When recording the sample you can monitor the main mix so it's easier to lay down vocals etc. Although that may not be what you're asking ??

  • Can you rip samples from old skool songs

  • @lalo07lrg If you're having trouble then your best bet's probably to ask at the NanoStudio forum on the Blip Interactive website, it's a lot easier to post replies that way. Let us know where you've got to with it and we should be able to help from there.

  • pretty impresive this guys nails it all in one take. ok practiced a while but still. straight upppppppppppp cmptn.....

  • please, can you ad 6 Tracks for Keyboard record, now it has only 4 tracks, or are 6 tracks too much for the iphone 4 latency? sorry for my bad english.

  • @MysterioEffect More tracks, instruments and effects will be coming in the next update - NanoStudio was originally written to run happily on 2G phones, but times have moved on since then and the iPhone 4 will handle a lot more!

  • @BlipInteractive Thanks for reply, this is the best Music App, i realy like it. can't wait for the Update, you rock! cheers

  • @BlipInteractive any idea when the next update will be available? Also don't suppose there's the chance of a limited time pricedrop to coincide with this update. Being a complete newbie to software such as this makes dropping £9 on an app I may or may not be able to properly use quite daunting.

  • @Gamepadvideos There's no planned price drop but I understand that you don't want to blow your hard earned cash on something if you're not sure you'll get the use from it. Best thing to do would be to get the free Windows/OSX version from the Downloads page on the Blip Interactive website - it's almost a full version aside from not having the 'record from mic' function that the iPhone has. Anything you do on the desktop version can be exported to the phone if you do decide to get it.

  • One person sucks at making music and disliked this vid :D

  • How do I get the "Digeridrone" sound on my NanoStudio?

  • @ButterPatrole Load up the 'Laid Back' demo and you'll find it as preset P01. You might want to write it to a global bank (eg. an empty preset in the C bank) if you want to use it in your other projects.

  • @BlipInteractive An where can I load it up? I mean, I only know, that I can load up beats for the TRG-16 using "Edit" and then I have it. But how can I do this for the piano, and not for the TRG-16? :-)

  • @BlipInteractive Oh okay I got it :-) Doesn't sound like your one, but thanks ;)

  • Nvm Got It !!! XD

  • Idk how to load n everytime I write something a key disappears...can you Hlp me out ???

  • FUCKIN RIDICULOUS....IN A GOOD WAY!!! DOWNLOADING AS WE SPEAK. will u be making any updates where you can use the synthstation keyboard since it's the only keyboard out for the iphone?

  • @bigbolo73 Yep the latest version's compatible with the Akai SynthStation 25, the Line 6 MIDI Mobilizer and Core MIDI via the camera connection kit (Core MIDI is iPad only though).

  • ive listend to this track consistently for the last 24 hours.

    SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AMAZIIIINNGNNNNNNGG

    anyone got mp3 this?

  • @diakomes You can download the mp3 from the Media page on the Blip Interactive website, or you can download the free Windows/OSX version of NanoStudio (on the Downloads page) and render it out as a wav file.

  • @BlipInteractive thx champ. you most definitly rock. u on facebook?

  • @diakomes Nah I keep meaning to set up an 'official' NanoStudio Facebook page but there are always too many other things to do and not enough hours in the day ... I'm doing Twitter, 140 characters now and then are pretty quick :)

  • 1:40 to 2:25 now that is talent man

  • Im thinking about buying it but I will only do so if you can record vocals or guitars and stuff via microphone on the device please if anybody knows I would greatly appreciate a response :)

  • Hm... I think this would go better with the iPad than the iPhone. I like the idea, but the screen size you have to work with is a bit small to me.

  • LEGIT SHIT! Is there going to be a sale? I will get it when there's a sale

  • can u connect this to ur daw.. fl studio .. ableteon etc and control it thru ur computer

  • how do I get this song??

  • This video sold the app for me. like this was very well rehearsed, but just the flexibility of this app is amazing. and it looks super easy to use!

  • Can I get this for the Windows phone??? I want this!!

  • @winja91 You might get a blue screen of death on your phone if you ran that lol

  • Algo que un BlackBerry jamás hará!

  • Awesome app. Requires a lot of getting used to though.

  • Can you save you finished song as an mp3 or any sound file and put it on your computer? If not please add that feature and you will get many more customers include me.

  • @NickJachno You can render the final mix, individual tracks or individual parts (stems) to wav or ogg format, and then transfer them over WiFi to your PC or Mac using a simple little application called NanoSync. You can also share your final mix on SoundCloud direct from your phone.

  • How come the VintageMono doesnt sound like that on my nanostudio? :(

how can i get it to sound like that?

  • @jessy0818 This demo uses a modified version of the preset. If you want to use it in your projects, load up the 'Laid Back' demo, find the Vintage Mono in the project bank, and write it to a global bank (eg. a spare slot in bank C). Your projects can then use it from there.

  • @BlipInteractive How do you modify the sounds and what do you do for modification?

  • @HHDougyT The synth has a load of extra pages for modifying the sounds (eg. oscillator, amplitude, LFO, envelopes and patchbay). If you're happy with a modified sound you can write it to a bank to use later. You might want to check out the PDF manual, you can find it on the Downloads page of the Blip Interactive website.

  • Bought an iPod touch a couple of hours ago, exactly for an app like this. I'm stunned like, well, like years ago when I disovered Ableton Live 3.

I bet this will be the reference for audio/music apps for a long time.

  • This actually really cool!

  • Hey guys, why is it that whenever u create a sample it's always the colour blue but it doesn't say where u can change it.

The epic App Is just too complicated 4 me already spent my 9 bucks on it for nothing.

Guess I will stick to Music Maker on the PC

  • @Dylanw200i Keep at it mate! I've been using Ableton Live for YEARS, and I'm seriously thinking of "downgrading" (in a technical sense) to Nanostudio. I wouldn't mind a few extra tracks (iPad 2 has more CPU, Blip!!), but this is very close to all I would need to make ENTIRE tracks... SAMPLE IMPORT ROCKS.

  • I looked over the features of this application and the only thing it seems to be missing is FM synthesis.

  • nice sound quality

  • shiiitt . very cool!

  • Looks great! I want the one for ipad. Especially loved the lead patch @1:28 yum!

  • can it record guitars? like me actaully playing a guitar and its recording me playing guitar?

  • fuck i don't have a clue what you just did.... lol. i would love to make music, but it looks seriously complicated

  • I read you can master with this to. Can you make another video showing the mastering abilaties

  • You should really release Eden as a VST-plugin. It has some very nice atmospheric sounds. :)

  • @dodentha nanostudio is the best!

  • I just put my song onto soundcloud and into the concert put the last minute of it got like really fast and fuzzy. Do you know why?

  • this app is sick i just bought it. I dont make music but im having a blast tapping in random shit making "music"

  • Whats better Nanostudio or Intua Beatmaker i heard good things about both, anybody ever try both apps? which one is better?

  • @dodentha i have both of them i just got the nano studio today its really fun and pretty easy to use but so is intuas beatmaker the beatmake is just like a mpc which is really cool but that only comes with a few sounds id recommend the nanostudio

  • Very nice App!! Nice to see Developer who knows how to present a music App and play a nice tune :)

  • Thanks!!!! Way to change the game :)

I have Nano on my iPhone and it has become my go-to compositional resource!

Cant wait to see where this goes...

Check out my nano-tunes on my YT channel. ID: somthinwikid

    Peace!

  • will this be available for the android system?

  • It was sort of rehearsed, and the rest was made up. I did a couple of takes - the second one was good enough though! If you want some user tutorials, try searching YouTube for 'Dekoy'. He's made some pretty good tutorials, and some excellent tunes too!

  • @BlipInteractive is this the best recording studio for Iphone? and are the beats able to transfer to your computer? I'm thinking of getting Fruity loops or axiom then i saw this new app, I'm not sure of which to buy. Any recommandations? I'm looking to make some nice instrumentals and beats for me to record

  • This is going to literally replace my home studio. Thank you.

  • You should add more videos to this channel and show tutorials!

  • That's brilliant! Did it just kinda come naturally or did it take a lot of planning?

  • nothing compares to this app! best ever!

  • i feel at home when using this app. Almost like using FL Studio. now imagine that on an idevice. :D

MUST. GET. IPAD. JUST. FOR. THIS.... BIGGERRRRRRRRRR

  • I got a question.

I bought and downloaded this app to my brothers iPod, seeing as I don't have one myself.

Is it possible to transfer the app from my bro's iPod to my own, if I ever get one?

  • OMG does anything even compete to this iphone music application???! I HAVE TO GET THIS!

  • those rich full bass tones are KILLER!

  • What "sounds" are being used for the trg-16?

  • best app ever!!

  • AMAZING

  • im trying to upload my samples onto my computer from my itouch and i downloaded nanostudio for my computer but i cant seem to figure it out. is this only available with the iphone?

  • @conchamelon You need to download NanoSync from the Downloads page on the Blip Interactive website. NanoStudio (PC/Mac) is a free version of NanoStudio that you can run on your desktop computer. It's fully functional and supports MIDI input too. NanoSync on the other hand is a little program you can use for transferring samples to/from your iDevice.
