hands down the best scene of the season 8. 3.55 minutes of MerDer, wow that must be a record or something.. usually we don't get that much merder in a one episode..
I was hoping I'd see them holding hands at the end when they were sleeping.. But this scene is still absolutely perfect and flawless and amazing and wonderful. I love you, MerDer :)
I think Derek is staying with Meredith for obligation, not because he means it. Like he did to Addison. I don't believe the post-it most work like that, they must feel something for each other! Meredith still loves Derek, but he... I wouldn't be sure, he looks like obligated to be with her because of post-it
@Arwaty1 Because sometimes there can be qualities about a person, that makes them amazing, and bad to be with all at once. Like Mer's actions were really bad for her and Derek's career, but as a person, it makes her amazing. He see's that. He doesn't actually HATE Mer... he hates what she did/her actions, because it put their livelihoods and the chance of getting Zola back in danger. But also loves that she did what she did because she wouldn't be Mer without doing that.
Best scene ever! Ellen and Patrick ROCKED! And it's almost 4 minutes, when it's the last time that happened? This season was good so far, I hope that continues.
my heart melted when i watched this.. this is the old merder. even though derek is pissed, this fight was much needed. they both needed to vent, and stop holding it all in. this fight really shows how they have grown. omg that post it moment was perfect. i believe that merder will be great this season
And this would be the reason I am not giving up on MerDer yet. This scene was amazing and sad and I'm glad they they had this fight. In order to move forward, they really needed this.
@Castlegrey100 I have been a loyal fan from the beginning first of all. And they way Shonda was writing them was making it really hard to be a fan. I would never actually give up on MerDer (I have given up on Grey's), but the season finale and the first couple of episodes was making it hard for me to like them. But I still watch all of Merdertruloves8 videos because they are awesome.
I love that Meredith told Derek not to keep his promise if he doesn't want to. She didn't beg him to stay with her out of obligation (Remember Addison?) I love that from there Derek clarifies to her that he does LOVE Meredith, but the things that he loves about her are also the things that he hates about her. Oh my God! I love this scene!! Kudos to whoever wrote this!! And Ellen & Patrick's acting were superb!
