First Sony TV set from 1960

I found one of these tvs at an antique store for 5 bucks but i have no clue if it works. where can i get a power cord?

@DancingFroMan Try ebay,it was their standard power cord from this model for several years.Search for early sony tv power cord.

The 12 v power cord is the DCC8 which has bare wire ends to go to a 12 volt battery or the DCC2AW with a car cigarette lighter plug,you would search for these on ebay also,I've seen them on there

At the time this was also one of the smallest TVs available. Sony would greatly eclipse this four years later with a 3" set the size of an ice cream carton.

@douro20 Philco already had them beat in 1959, look up a portable TV called a Philco Safari, the screen was under three inches in that set.

i wonder if you could remove the analogue tuner and replace it with a digital one.. and wire it so it worked with the built in antenna
