It's interesting... I remember, being 33, looking back on this video, our country was being hit HARD by outsourcing labor and American workers struggling so much in Detroit-auto manufacturing. Our Economic backbone since the early 1900's. You can see the decay of the American morale in this video. Gas prices, overcoming pain of wars (vietnam), years go by, we're still in the same place as a nation.

@quiquemoranmoyano This song has been controversial since it came out. We all know Bruce is a diehard lefty, and was against the war that democrats JFK and LBJ got us into. HIs songs are vague enough for interpretation. I like to see it as a scream of affmirmation of a Vietnam vet in his mid 30s that he's not letting life beat him down. That's really what the whole album is about anyway. I loved it when I was 11 when it came out, but about to turn 40, now I REALLY get what it's about.

Ur right, this is the real video though, compared it to when I watched it on my cable tv, its on "on demand" content right now. Wiki does mention though the poor production quality of this video with the audio being out of sync. But this is worse than it should be for some reason.
