Omg At each stage I could see them moving at each direction every step. Its hard to explain but they go at both directions at same times. Its just how your mind perceives it.

pay close attention 2 her ground foot shadow, notice how the toes on that foot never complete a full 360 degree turn? from here you can alternate between clockwise & anti-clockwise! if done correctly, her left arm should be raised up during anti-clockwise, and her right arm during clockwise!

She is oscillating! The fact that she never makes a complete rotation is the illusion, which way she "appears" to make the rotation is subject to the brain.

In all honesty, I was never able to make her rotate counter clockwise. I was only able to make her oscillate or rotate clockwise =/

Maybe I'm just extremely weak with my left brain =/

This actually makes it harder for me to see anti-clockwise... If she's spinning fast, I can follow the shadow and make her turn anti-clockwise with a bit of effort, with this - she just keeps going clockwise. I can make her go the other way for maybe 2 frames, then I lose it again. Bloody frustrating..

I found the trick to making her switch on the fly. Move the mouse curser back and forth between the PLAYLIST LINK and the last icon to the right on the bottom of the video "UP ARROW" while the video is playing. Focus on the mouse cursor as it bounces back and forth

I actually find it easer to make her turn any way I want if I look at the foot that is on the floor and not at the one thats flying around.

It's an optical illusion. There's no divide at the top of her legs and so can be perceived either way.  I happen to always see it clockwise, but if I stare long enough will briefly see her spin the other way.

Just imagine for every movement that she faces towards you and the next; facing her back or...

Her arm at first would be "right" and the very next move, it is her "left".

Don't focus much on feet (those are tricky)

Try pausing the video at a certain point, then try to convince yourself that it's not the right leg that you see spinning, but instead it is the left leg you see spinning.

You have to convince yourself it's the other leg thats spinning in order to see her rotate the other direction

However, by STANDING UP and raising my LEFT leg. and acting out the video (advancing 2 frames and stopping works the best), I can get myself to change mindset as to which leg is "in front" when she is sideways. It is still tricky for me to get the whole dancer sequence to switch. and I agree about some of the later frames not helping much.

Actually if I look at her exactly from the side, I know intellectually that I can't tell if the outstretched leg is right or left. However, I still can't get my brain to switch it.

I CAN'T GET HER TO GO CCW! I am way logical (I think there is a mistake in the writeup as all the logical people see her going right and the illogical people left). I've tried every darn trick. Only things that seemed to help were looking at outstretched hand and the DKOS remark about two dancers facing each other as mirror images. But I can't get her to switch.

The trick to switch her is covering your left eye and looking less of the overall image to just more of her face. It helped me get her going CCW, now I can't get it to go only CW and automatically switches between the two every five or so seconds.
