Farmers get the mats for the AH. crafters get the mats for a fee and craft items using said mats. They thwn sell the items to all the other lazy people who buy the gold off of hax sites. That way everyone wins

When Cata first came out, you could make a good profit on making the gun (Kickback 5000), and a bit less on the bow (these are now much less important since patch 4.1), but Engineers brought Jeeves and other scrapbots to raids for repairs. Now, in patch 4.2, even THAT is useless since there's a vendor w/ repairs right at the start of the Firelands raid instance. What's shown in this video does not apply to Cata zones like it did to Outlands and Northrend. It sucks.

@arduria Yeah i don't remember being an engineer during a time when it was useful. I still enjoy rocket boosts, synapse springs, and my parachute though :D I really wish blizz would make engineering useful or as useful/profitable as some of the other profs.

Another way to earn easy gold with Engineering is to make lots of De-Weaponized Mechanical Companion(s) (Robot bunnies) and sell them on the AH for 1k gold. Even if you can't farm the mats they're pretty cheap. On my server all the mats cost around 100-300g, so 900-700 easy gold.

u get motes of shadow from shadowmoon, mana from netherstorm, air from nagrand and water from zang u can not use this to get motes of fire. and they are use in engineering tailoring and other professions. mining and engineering is a winning combonation, especially now with the new patch...the clouds show up on the radar

i just got it up to 200 today and went gnomish. goblin lets you make things that blow up but they hurt you as well as your enemy. with gnomish you can make a lost of cool things also. My fav is gonna be the Gnomish Lightning Generator

1 primal air is aboue 20g in Ah so....

zapthrottle mote extractor requires...325 engi i think, easiest way to find those clouds are make some lvl 60+ epic engi goggles that say that they show nearest gas clouds on the mini map.
