  • this is by far my favorite off-roading montage.

  • i love it man.keep it up

  • i just finished a sas on my 93gmc it has 10inches of lift and 37inch goodyear mtrs and i want an nv4500 for it what year truck did u get ur trans from and did u have to do any thing to the computer to make it work right

  • Mine came out of a 93 but there are 2 different versions of the NV4500 so you will need to research the transmissions specs before you choose. As for the ECM, I sent the chip to TBIChips.com and had them reflash it for the manual. This will be necessary after the swap.

  • That was a nice truck too

  • Whattttttt? Manual? I want one :(

  • The manual truck in the video is not the Tahoe, however the Tahoe has been converted to a manual NV4500. I have another video uploaded of that going through a couple gears.

  • a manual tahoe?? where did you find that!??!?! I want!!

  • That sucks

  • CHEVY IS RULE!!

  • CHEVY IS RULE!!!!!!

  • Just finished putting a 4" lift on my jeep... now i need tires, more money.. damn. lol. Endless expenses when it comes to off road, but it's worth it :)

  • Posi or locker in the rear? and is the front still open carrier?

  • Eaton Electric Locker in the Rear of the 14 Bolt. Front is stock open diff. gearing is 4.88. Someday when ive got the time I might go SFA since the IFS up front is the only weak link left in this thing.

  • @Green95Hoe Alright, sounds like a nice setup. I've got a grand cherokee, nowhere near as nice as this thing but at the moment it does the job. I've just got a Spartan Lunchbox locker in the stock rear Dana 35 and the open stock Dana 30 in the front. Not exactly the toughest setup in the world. Very nice Tahoe man, i was looking into them when i bought my Grand.. if i had seen yours i might have looked more into them lol.

  • Its all in what you build man, your Jeep could be far more capable that my beast not to mention it will fit in alot more places. Mine started as a beach rig and went from there. It actually looks alot different today than in this video. Most of the stuff have been cleaned off and color matched. Its just a clean lifted truck now but every once in a while I get the itch to run down to the local mud hole and show up the kids that think their stock pickups are "Mud Trucks"

  • @Green95Hoe That's always fun... i haven't owned my jeep long enough to mud it yet... 3' of snow in all the trails. I do look forward to heading down to the local mud playgrounds and watching the stock pickups get stuck. The guys that think because they're ranger has the off road package it can drive through knee deep black mud... of course i watched them last summer too... only difference was i was going through the small holes in a cavalier lol.

  • gotta start somewhere. I recall back in high school, my buddy had a Chevette and he would try to take it in the woods with us. We ultimately would hook chains and drag it through the bog with the trucks spinnin tire just to cover the car in mud and then he would drive it to school and park it next to our muddy trucks. Ahhh the good ol days.

  • is that tahoe a manual?

  • Yes but the clip in this video is not from that tahoe. Check my other videos for a clip of me rowing gears inside this truck.

  • @Green95Hoe thanks, ive been looking into it a while now so i know a good amount about it, but as far as restoring the 14 bolt and making it look nice i really have no idea except take a wire brush to. feel free to shed some light on things :) ha

  • I just used a wire wheel bit on a handheld grinding wheel and went over the whole thing. After that I brushed on a couple coats of Rust-o-leum Black Hammer finish paint that I bought at wal-mart. I liked the color and look of the hammer finish that I did the entire truck frame a suspension a year later.

  • WHAT A HOE! I love it

  • what 14 bolt do you got the semi float or the full float?? also did you do anything to the front or do you still got the 10 bolt gm 8.25 ifs?

    ---

also whered you get the roof rack it looks sick i wanna get one for mine

  • I went with the semi floater to cut back on weight. As for the front, she is regeared to 4.88 but in the stock case. The roof rack was purchased long ago and I actually took it off nearly 6 years ago. There was a local speed shop in town thats long since gone. Its made by Carr though so im sure a google search will find it.

  • my trucks gonna look like your soon hopefully in a month or so ... but im probally going with 35x12.5x15's...i already have a dick cepek stage I awaiting install...4.56 ring and pinion for the front, and picking up a 14 bolt sf in a week or so.....maybe 3" body and 2"AAL and 2" of crank to level.

  • Awesome. Thats gonna look nice. The semifloater should go right in. You will need to get the lower shackles from the dealer though as the 14 bolt has a larger diameter axle tube. Also the U-joint you will need is Precision/Napa 447. Save the e-brake cables from the 10 bolt too. The 14 bolt cables surely wont adapt to a Tahoe.

  • did u put in a new alternator for all those lights?

  • yes indeed. a 200 amp replacement was swapped in. although it wasnt necessary. It was more for the stereo and subs.

  • @Green95Hoe i have in total about 520watts of extra lights on my truck think i should upgrade the 105 amp alternator?

  • I would recommend it. Check ebay for some good affordable upgrades. I would step up to a new one before the old one fails. That way you can keep the old one as a spare. Nothing worse than having an alternator crap out and not be able to find a replacement right away.

  • @Green95Hoe +to upgrade alts from a 105 to a 150 the whole harness would have to be replaced? or would it be fine?

  • Should be fine.

  • i have a 98 tahoe 2 door sport. thinking about getting a 6" suspension lift for it and adding 35" wheels. your car looks sweet. any tips for me on what specifics kits i shold look at and tires????

  • Dick Cepek Stage 2 Lift. Its a 6.5" Kit and its pretty much the best bang for the buck for the OBS trucks.

  • where did you get the bar for the fog lights on top? I am thinking about getting a tahoe for my daily driver and want a stock tahoe with bigger tires, a cab visor and stock grille, fog lights, and even possibly remove the running boards. I need something reasonable as I drive a chevy k10 with a 350 bored .30 with a heavy cam and forged flat tops, lol.

  • from a local truck accessory shop many years ago. Its made by Carr. Im sure there are places online that you could find one.

  • that is a very nice Tahoe! nicest I have seen so far!

  • Man I could watch this over and over. I thought my Yukon was badass but this video makes it look like a little bitch.

  • I love this video! I have a 2000 5.7L with soccer mom tires that's getting ready to hog out and I'd love some suggestions of what I should do if you have ayny. Thanks for posting!

  • Great truck, great song, great video!

    Thanks a million!

  • What kind of motor do you have in that? What kind of rear axle and gears an all that. That is one bad ass truck. man.

  • The engine is a 383 stroker. Gears are 4.88 stuffed in a 14 Bolt Rear with an Eaton Selectable Locker. Thanks for the comment.

  • Damn thats a hell of a Tahoe... Did you change the transmission to Standard? Sweet. How much did you spend on that?

  • Yep, I swapped in an NV4500. Probably about 1500 to do the whole thing with a used tranny which was about the same thing it would have cost to rebuild the 4L60E

  • what kind of light bar do you have on yours im doing one now i have 3 in body an 3 in susp but not enough so im going up again having trouble finding light bars

  • Its made by Carr. I forget where I got it because it was so long ago but I think I bought one for a pickup since the rooflines are the same above the door on the SUV's

  • thats a beautiful truck, cant wait to take my k5 out

  • Do it up man. Thanks for the comment. Ive always wanted an old K5. Non-emission carbed 350, solid axle and removable top. The perfect simple and highly modify-able wheelin truck.

    Cheers

  • Damn bro, I keep lookin at my tahoe and i still get little dick syndrom when i watch this one...

  • Thanks man. I get that myself when I get stuck driving my company truck for long periods of time and leaving the beast parked.

  • What state are you from?

  • Mass

  • Mass

  • I like rocks more then mud but I like your style dude.

  • thanks bro.

  • how come in some scenes there is Z71 stickers and other scenes not?

  • Its a compilation video from footage over about 6 years. The sticker wasnt always there.

  • this has to be one of the kewlist video ive ever sceene

  • How did you get it throw fire from the exhaust? god i love these trucks i have an 04 armada now and its cant do half the shit these things can

  • what size lift do you have on it?

  • She stands 12" with suspension and body combined but most of the clips in the video it was smaller.

  • @Green95Hoe what kind of engine mods did u do to it

  • It has a 383 under the hood. I kept it TBI and did all the TBI mods. Lots of goodies and wayy too much to list.

  • @Green95Hoe awsome truck man!!! GREAT JOB!!! trying to get mine to look like it

  • Thanks Bro

  • Badass TAHOE....

  • I probably sound like an idiot for asking this, but where did you get the gears to correct for the oversized tires?

  • Google search "Randys ring and pinion". they should have everything you need.

  • Truck is totally badass bro! What light bar is that up top? Looks good!

  • Thanks. That light bar is made by Carr and it has 5 KC Daylighters in it now. I should be posting up a new video clip soon as I just completed a 5 speed conversion.

  • did you have to gear down the rear axle so it would have more torque?

  • I am geared to 4.88 but that is not to gain torque, it is just to correct for the oversize tires.

  • @Green95Hoe thats what I meant, a stupid retard at my school doesnt have his geared down and it takes forever to take off

  • grate video can u send me a listed of what u have all done to it

  • grate video can u send me a listed of what u have all done to it

  • this has to be the moused beautiful and amazing video. i am 14 and i no what truck i am getting and what i am doing to it. keep up the good fucking work man keep them coming love it (Chevy for ever )

  • this has to be the moused beautiful and amazing video. i am 14 and i no what truck i am getting and what i am doing to it. keep up the good fucking work man keep them coming love it (Chevy for ever )

  • this has to be the moused beautiful and amazing video. i am 14 and i no what truck i am getting and what i am doing to it. keep up the good fucking work man keep them coming love it (Chevy for ever )

  • dude your tahoe is SICK what exhaust you got on it

  • Thanks. Today she is running Hooker Long Tubes with true dual 2-1/2" pipe. There is a 12" resonator on each side and a single chamber stainless steel muffler with 4" tips out the back. There were other configurations throughout the video.

  • where did you get the flame thrower kit at and man your tahoe is way more kick ass than mine check my vids out and let me know what you think

  • That kit was something I built from scratch off instructions from a website. It was nearly 10 years ago that I did it and probably 8 years since I removed the kit due to constant problems. Im sure if you google it you can find some info.

  • ok cause my friend had a suburban with it but what kinda lift u got

  • Dick Cepek Stage 2

  • Hey Green95HOe, I saw in the video that your truck is a manual transmission, you don't think that automatic is much better?

  • It is not in the video. Thats just a clip I snuck in from another truck. I am however almost complete with the conversion though. As for why I did it? Well I like to be different. As for whats better? Its a matter of preference and what I use the truck for. Its not my daily driver and I feel I have more control, the grany gear will be amazing when trying to move the boat. I put 4 built autos in my truck before deciding to change over. Its really about being different though

  • what size tires does that beast have on it in the vid?

  • Most of those clips it was running 36's. A couple randoms it has 37's. Today its running 39's

  • Sick truck.

  • Nice Tahoe. My familys got 2 of them(1997 and 2004) i still like the 1997 one so much better. Its got over 150k and its still going. What size and kind of tires do you have? What size lift?

  • Thanks. Yeah I prefer the old body style of the new anyday. Im currently running 39x15.5x18 Mickey Thompson MTZ's but I only had 36" Mickey Thompson Claws in most of the clips in this video. The total lift height is 12"

  • Great compilation man! I'm pretty sure I've commented and asked this before. But, in the video there's a dude driving a stickshift, that can't be a tahoe right? But if it was, tell me everything about that.

  • The stick is in a Ford. The dash is completely different... BUT........ as of today I am actually past the half way point of completing the conversion in my Tahoe with an NV4500 5 speed. Ill post video once its complete. Should be one of the only Tahoes in the country to have it since GM never did this to a four door body style.

  • How much money/time is the conversion costing you? I don't know why GM didnt offer a stick, makes no sense. They did for certain Silverado's with the extended cab.

  • Probably round out around 1200 when its complete. I got a deal on a used NV4500 though that was already in a chevy so the bellhousing and t-case coupler were included. All in all a rebuild on the auto would have still cost more. Considering ive put 4 autos in this truck, doing this the first time around would have been a much better idea.

  • you're on your fifth transmission???

  • Technically this will be the 5th unit under the truck yes. Of course one time it was the tranny shops fault because they built a unit wrong and it had to come out a month later. Its a combination of the large engine, heavy truck and the fact that I tow a boat with it every summer. 4L60E's just cant seem to handle heavy weight rigs and towing no matter how much you beef them up.

  • Too bad to hear, I'm pretty sure that's the tranny I got right now. I've towed some stuff, nothing to crazy though. Just an 8x12 uhaul trailer a few times. I drove that shit 275 miles up highway 101 of california though, made it just fine. Can't wait to see the video of the tahoe with a stick! that's gonna be awesome.

  • Very cool

  • Very cool man.

  • nice hoe!

  • Nice video! And love your hoe! Just bought a hoe myself! She's 2 door but still a hoe!

  • I see were you were mentioned switching to manual tranny. Have to do alot of modding to achieve the switch over? Nice ride! Just bought 2 door 98 hoe and love her!

  • Not really that much actually. I got my clutch pedal in and have pretty much every part I will need to complete the swap. Unfortunately the weather hasnt been co-operating enough to crawl under and start pulling the old auto out. But you can bet the first warm day im under that pig with a wrench.

  • Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you.

I want a Tahoe even more now.

Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you.

  • Now that's some nice driving where did u get that cargo rack looking thing on top? I have a 99 2 door hoe 4x4 with 6 in lift love how that looks. And also what gear ratio are u running ? I've been trying to find some 410 but can't seem to find the gears for the front. Thanx

  • at 1:04 what did you spray on the tire?

  • Probably Brake cleaner. I dont recall starting fluid being combustible enough.

  • Nice video

  • hey man great videos gotta have respect for the 4door. Just wonderin if you have anymore videos you could upload to your channel? That'd be great keep drivin

  • Ill see what I can dig up. I have alot of old videos but nothing recent since the engine swap. The truck is apart now as I swap in my manual tranny over the winter.

  • Wicked i just bought a 99 tahoe 350 vortec for 79 hundred. hoe only has 67k on it. wicked power outruns my 94 silverado.

  • what is that thing called thats on top of the windshield? the plastic bar? any help?

  • Thats a moonvisor by Lund. The moonvisor has recessed running lights and the sunvisor doesnt have lights.

  • @Green95Hoe where did you get your moonvisor?

  • Bought it near ten years ago now. I forget. But you can get them all over E-bay for cheap now. Even check Craigslist for a local sale

  • @Green95Hoe . I cant find the 12" lift on ebay. The only one I see is the 6.5" lift. which one is it?

  • Thats what you want. My additional height is achieved through custom fab and a modified body lift. If you want to find a bolt on kit that huge look into Fullthrottle or Cognito lifts.

  • It's a sun visor.

  • Um, No! You are incorrect. Read my post above. It just looks like there are no lights because I have clear lenses on them. How do I know for sure you ask? Because Ive sold over two thousand sets of those clear lenses on ebay for said moonvisors since I started making them.

  • @Green95Hoe yeah I bought a set a while back still holding up. I haven't seen you guys down the cape in a while at that car show. You think your coming down this way this summer?

  • Glad your happy. Mine have been on my truck for almost 8 years now. I didnt make it to the show last year but if your talking about Falmouth I was there last year. I took the truck off the road for the winter so I could swap a manual transmission into it among some other upgades. Hopefully ill be there this year.

  • where did you get your lift kit? I am looking at a gmc yukon or chevy tahoe years 95-98. where can I get a lift if i do get it?

  • E-bay. Look up "Dick Cep[ek Lift" from a seller called "Extreme Suspension and Performance" Their is a stage 1 and a stage 2 kit. Stage 1 for street queen a light wheeling. Stage 2 for launching your truck airborne off a cliff. lol

  • thanks a lot. It will help!

  • just bought a 1998 gmc yukon the big question i have for you is the 4wd in yours the push button or 4x4 on the floor thanks

  • Mine is on the floor.

  • how many inches of lift u got bro? im trying to get a good lift for my 95 tahoe.

  • Mine is up 12" from stock but ive modified both my suspension and body lifts to get it that high. The best lift for OBS Chevy IMO is the Dick Cepek. Its a 6.5" and its quite beefy compared to others. I had a Pro Comp and a Trailmaster suspension in my truck and hated them both. If you look up Dick Cepek online you will see that the majority of OBS owners prefer it.

  • nice vid man 5 stars

  • haha i love blowing up tires like that its fun

  • Breakin Benjamin is the shet!!!! thumbs up 4 u!!!! xD

  • this isnt breaking benjamin its 3 days grace dumb dumblol

  • this is not breaking benjamin its three days grace

  • hey did u convert you tahoe to stick

  • Actually No, thats my work truck that I stuck in there. I didnt realize everyone would think I did the conversion... Although..... I am in the process of collecting all the necessary items to do the NV4500 conversion. Should be completed in the spring. Cant really work on the truck in the winter. Doesnt fit in the garage. lol

  • I was just about to ask who did the stick conversion. Then, I read you two talkin about it. Would've been cool though, I've always wanted to do it to my 99 Tahoe. Too much money though man.

  • I dont think it will be that expensive. If I score a donor truck then I have basically all the parts I need. Aside from some new gaskets and fluid and such.

  • @Green95Hoe Well man I gotta say thats A really nice Chevy , and you sure treat it right. 5 Stars my freind and keep flyin the Chevy flag man.

  • Thanks for the comment. I love my chevys.

  • 0:47 - 1:00 beautiful

  • man, that is a sick tahoe. and baja claws are the shit!

  • dude beautiful taho! it flexes alot more than any ifs setup ive seen in a while! come check out my k10 sometime.. no off roading clips but its a walk around for now. i just bought it but i have big plans for it!!

  • i own a 78 bronco i wish i taped all the fun i have ahd with her...Ripnmy door off wasnt fun, but i need 2 start tapen my stuff, so when my truck sits n the yard my kids will kno what she did :).. nice truck tho glad to see you usen it..stick shift is the way 2 go....auto is for pussys

  • Wow. arent you a piece of work. This video was made for people like you to appreciate. But if your going to wave your brothers dick in the air, you should know that since this video was made, I stuffed a blown 383 under the hood. In my driveway of 9 Chevys, this one is still the largest with 12" of lift and 40's . Id gladly take that truck on anyday. Oh thats right.... you dont even own it!. Come back to me when you build your own entirely with your own hands.

  • my uncles is a 99' tahoe, 4dr., 9 in lift, 6 in tips, 37 mickey thompson baja claw tires. its bad ass!

  • I run the Baja Claws in the winter. They are my favorite tires out of all the ones ive run. Not only do they sound awesome on the road, but they just plow through the mud. They also do pretty good on the beach when aired down.

  • @Green95Hoe How do they handle in the snow? My brother wants to get them for his lifted ford explorer.

  • Fantastic. Great all around. Even float well in sand.

  • im not really into the 4wheeling thing but your video and your tahoe are both amazing! I LOVE Chevrolet

  • Thanks. Alot of wrench time into my beast. I need to make a new video soon with all the new footage since the engine swap.

  • Dude! thats badass, i love my 99 LT but it makes a very bad noise when its in 4wheel drive, i cant figure out whats wrong with it tho, and iv taken it to 4 mechanics and none of them know either :(

  • Thanks. If your hearing a noise only in 4wd then it has to be either the transfer case, front driveshaft or front differential. If the U-joints are ok on the shaft than you can rule that out. Also check the CV axles for play. They can make noise when turning. If its a hum then id dig into the front diff. You should be able to single out wether the sound is coming from the front of the truck or under your feet.

  • its actualy started doing it in 2wheel too... im not liking it

  • Badass tahoe man, i plan on getting a lift for mine soon. Just got a 98 tahoe a few weeks ago and love it!

got the same chevy sticker too haha. CHEVY FOREVER.

  • Comment removed

  • This truck is exactly what im working for! What have you done to your engine? Headers? K&N? Comp CHip?

  • When this video was made the engine was completely stock. Today sits a 383 stroker with just about every upgrade possible

  • No Way you pulled a semi out with a 350. That is quite amazing. But that just goes to show how amazing Chevy is. I don't think anyone sees the potential of these old Hoes, i wouldn't trade mine for a rock crawler any day.

  • love the hoe i got a 99 2dr z71

  • The clip of you pulling that semi in winter is downright impressive that is no easy task. You gotta love a heavy rig and good traction!

  • Thanks. That was def a challenge. Im pretty sure it wouldnt have happened if I didnt have a locker in the back. Whats even more impressive is that the transfer case popped out of 4low and into 2low. When the camera goes back the second time you can see me pulling him out with only the rear tires.

  • What tires are you running?

  • There are about 3 different sets of tires on the truck in this video. Today its running on 38.5x15x18 Mickey Thompson MTZ's

  • awesome dude! rock on..

  • Wow... I finaly understand those warm feelings LOL. I got a 98 4 dr and its so refreshing to see somone do the same as me and not go with a 2dr. This motivated the shit outta me. Keep posting man this is giving me some great ideas! Sweet hoe!

  • fucking sweet hoe you got there

  • dam bad ass truck cool fricking vid ! 5 BIG * check out my babay truck its a suburban ! chevy rules !

  • nice tire mounting lol

  • is the tahoe stick shift?

  • No, its an auto. That clip is from another truck.

  • i just bought a 96 tahoe what year is this one

  • This is a 95
