it shook the room, not because of the bass but the balance of frequency levels in relation. If you got bass without no other frequency to smooth it out then it's the balance. Volume don't make the bass, it just shows the difference on arrival times. I bet I can set up a system with speakers less bassy that sound more bassy than your bassy speakers. In truth it's frequency arrival relation. Think about it those with high inteligence.

dont worry i dont use my speakers purely for bass. i only use four subs and two tweeters by getting the blabnce between treble and bass it can produce very high quality sound. it did shake the room im not trying to show off. but i prefer to just leave the bass halfway these days

The best systems don't vibrate anything, they sound perfectly clear and they got bass, treble like you wouldn't believe. In truth it's not about bass or treble but haveing it arrive at its own frequency without interfernce frequencys. You can have interference frequencys and corection to fix in accoustics. Too much to explain in a small write up like this. A very simple quick explaination would be. imagine 50hz traveling while another interference wave divides it.. ie 50 hz just became 100hz

if u have a car ampliflier just hook your am up to your computer along with your sub but u will need a psu to power the amp

I do you cant just hook it up to the cpu Unless un computer is fucken crazy and its and amplificator.. Ok heres wath u need u need a dope ass amplificator Then all the speakers like 5.1 6.1 7.1.. Then plug ur 8inch on the Sub place Hook up ur computer to your computer AND CRANK THAT SHIT UP!!!

Or do like me buy a home theater in a box for 500$ from sony or something and it plays Fucken Dope (For my room). like 1000watts with 300watts sub for 600$ i payed 200$ :P

@nineball87 A subwoofer should not make a humming sound. A subwoofer is a speaker unit which is capable of producing frequencies below 30hz. If it can't go that low, it isn't a subwoofer.
