The 80s rule!

This got to be on the all time top 10 of greatest synth tunes!

Why is it that no one can make music like this anymore? Everything is more advanced but it seems like talent has gone down the drain. Or is it the technology has become too polished so it doesn't challenge the artists skills.

And hey you can't blame me for have heard it in the 80s - it came to my knowledge on CD I bought recently in a thrift store.

@HifiCentret I listened to this kind of music since my youth, but for me its a little bit outdated. There is a lot of electronic music out there which deserves to be listened. Ambient, Psy Trance and so on.. but its a matter of taste..

no, but you're close :-) Rob Papen (the one in white, I think) lives in Echt, where he has his studio, does workshops on sounddesign (if you're into synths, you must attend one!). Ro is also the person behind great softwaresynths like Albino, Predator and Blue!

A real masterpiece. Actually this song is a cover of the track called "Sons of the dawn". It was released in 1981 under the Peru Project (same guys - Ruud van Es, Peter Kromers and Rob Papen) and it is from the album called "Macchu Picchu". IMO the original is much better than the Aurora version.
