ehh, starlings are usually small and it looks too heavy set to be a grackle and by looking at the size of the bird and the thickness of the beak it's either a crow or raven. I have grackles around my place they can get big but not that big.
Also a side note to all you retards calling the birds bullies, they are OMNIVORES , they eat other birds, fish, mice etc. calling this bird a bully for its natural behaviors, jesus christ are you ppl that dense and disrespectful of our planets creatures lmao. i love reading all you're freakishly retarded comments lol. makes me feel all warm and tingly inside knowing that i have a mind that thinks logically ;)
Hey you may not have known this, but they are wild animals. That is nature's way, what kind of sick minded person shoots innocent wild animals because they are doing what they are built to do. My friend, you have the makings of a great serial killer. At least if you were shooting them and taking there meat it would be less deranged but obviously thats not the case here lol. You should think about turning hat gun on yourself for a change. have a nice day freak lol.
Grackles are a bunch of big-ass bullies!! Their flocks keep attacking all of the red wing black birds that come to my feeder and keep it all to themselves. This video makes me hate them even more!
...Your name couldn't be any more fitting for your personality. Grackles are gorgeous birds that deserve respect. It's Starlings that are the loud, annoying, squawk-fests. D<
my dad says grackles are from hell. theyre carnivorous and can be in flocks of up to 2000 birds. they have cold amber eyes and take on crows in groups. i shoot them down every morning because they killed by injured wood warbler.
Uhm, hi. That's nature. It's not a peaceful, old lady in a sundress and bonnet. She's a young, fiery, cruel little bitch in leather and carries a whip. D<
You're a dick for killing such a beautiful bird, just because it was doing what nature INTENDED.
This isn't uncommon folks, granted catching it on video, is though. Grackles just like Jays, are known to kill and eat, smaller birds & even mice!!! I've seen a lot, over my 15yrs in the avian field, so this doesn't shock me at all. I've seen Grackles, drown House Sparrows in the birdbath, by using there weight to pin them down, NO JOKE FOLKS!!! While Grackles, Jays, & Crows lack "talons" like birds of prey have, they make up for in sheer beak power alone. A few strong hits, is all it takes.....
Hello. I can assure you that it is a grackle. Starlings have a yellow beak. I liked your choice of tunes in the flick. I have hand-raised an orphaned grackle so currently I have one as a pet. Unfortunately they aren't well liked by many. I liked your video. Thanks for sharing it. Cheers!
it sure is GRACKLE i call it shit bird. crow, grackle, staring may look the same cuz same black color.but they are different in size.sometimes grac&star mingle, fly junto.thank s to crow, grackle, staring for clean up rotting things.
This is a Grackle.Starling are insect eaters, they'll occasionally eat fruits or suet but are not into 'attacking' other birds.Their beaks are not made for that. This bird was acting as a scavenger, not an attacker. The biggest part of what people deem as wildlife violence is either misidentification of species and interspecies relationships.Hence a lack of understanding as to what is going on.This is Nature's way of keeping disease under control and not wasting resources.
I grew up with a woods in my backyard, and I can tell you..I have seen grackles attack and eat other birds multiple times. Of the species that I've observed, they are among the most aggressive.
Yep, a grackle. They will kill birds almost their own size for no reason.

That's a male grackle, females don't have the shiny green heads. Makes them MARGINALLY more difficult to see when you aren't using a scope.
