I'm experimenting with oxides for my final project in handbuilding (a giant pile of multi-colored platters) in the hopes of finding a palette that is far less expensive than the stains. The bisqueware-agateware looks pretty but there's no way I'd be able to keep that up after I graduate.
this is fun. I like to play with agateware also. I like the mason stains... and you're right.. they are expensive!
