Got my henkei version of this guy today, wow! Badass for sure. I think I'm going with henkei from here on for the generations/classics figures. Much better job than hasbro. Well worth the little extra coin.

my hound has black fists and biceps and green forearms. also the things behind each seat in vehical mode are black to match his legs. he is one of my favorite figures. on the box it came in it has the model you have on the back with the green fists and all.

Very nice review! Today I got my hound for 20 bucks (I live in Chile, Southamerica; everything costs double or more expensive here); at the beginning I didn´t fancy the figure as Prowl or starscream form the same line, but changing from robot to vehicle and viceversa changed my mind. Really a cool figure and fortunatelly I got (these figures are becoming more rare). Again, nice videos man I really liked it!

Hound was a pretty good figure the only thing I was surprised the figure did not have that most of the other classics has was a license plate. But besides that it was a good review and the other thing that bug was that there was nothing to connect the torso with the front bumper to lock it all into place in robot mode and maybe another extra weapon wouldnt of hurt but they decided to throw ravage instead oh well...Good review by the way,,,

Bought this figure today, Hound has a great G1 cartoon inspired stance that looks great on my shelf. I also found that Ravages original G1 rockets fit into the holes of universe ravage, giving it a much meaner stance. I'm sure Hasbro did this on purpose, nice touch.

I just bought Henkei Hound today, and I LOVE THIS BUGGER!!! I gv both 10/10!!!

Here're the differences between a Henkei and the Hasbro Classics version:

1. Includes a mini Japanese Transformers comic book featuring Hound, Ravage and Cheetor

2. Chromed parts- the front bumper, wheels rims,

3. Seats are made of grey plastic

4. Whole Hound is deep color grass green, not as seen in the vid

5. VERY TIGHT BALL JOINTS!!

6. minor difference paintjobs at wrist n ankles...

I bought my Hound from Wal*Mart on Monday. I like Hound and Ravage and I give Hound an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10 and Ravage a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10. My main dislike's is the cheap ass mentality with Hasbro nowadays with

the weapons issue. Ravage didn't come with his side hip rocket weapons and the weapon Hound comes with is actually his shoulder rocket weapon. Hasbro didn't include his pistal & that long rifle in jeep mode that also acts as a holoprojecter in the orignal 1980's cartoon!

Was going to break off Ravage's jaw and reposition it to something that looks halfway decent, then looked at how things fold together and realized the short jaw fits into a slot, WTF! I can't extend the jaw without affecting the tape mode... I guess Ravage keeps his "beak".

mine came in today, the green all looks consistant. Its a great figure. Someone asked which Ravage was preferred. The original is a little too thin for stability, but a full range of motion. The new one has a great 3D construction to him, but very limited with motion. The ankles arent posable and it doesnt pivot at the front shoulders. I put the hip missles on him and they do work very nicely and really complete the figure.

Hasbro toys are way better than KOs, don't forget that it was they're idea to sell robot toys as sentient characters instead of piloted mechs. Without them, there wouldn't be the franchise about shape-changing, living robotic aliens that we call "Transformers". But yes, usually Takaratomy's versions are better

yeah me too, when sunstreaker and prowl were reviewed weeks earlier I thought i'd already miss them from the stores.

i think it's just fine if hound is small, i always have that in mind since he's really smaller in the 80s cartoon series, i'm even more disappointed with Ironhide when i see him being towered over by sideswipe and sunstreaker. Hasbro always have that height problems with its figures.

You know what I like about this iteration of Hound? It's EXACTLY what I think of when I think of a transformer-generally; The engine/headlights compose the upper torso and the rear wheels/seats are the legs. It's just something that sticks out in my head.

I like this hound. It's funny G1, Alternators and this universe figure of him all have very similiar transformations regardless of the complexity of the actual figure. he's always been one of the better figures.

Great review! Hound is awesome, Ravage i don't like. He just looks awkward. Thx for the comparison, i won't be getting Ironhide after seeing he is smaller than Sunstreaker. In my book he should be the same size or bigger.
