Since pres Sample, this is due to recent effort to broaden the students recruitment and enrollment outside of California. @petion2010 the fan base goes far beyond. Trust me, there's a USC alumni group in every major city. On a trip to China last year, my good friend met a group of business met in Shanghai, they were USC alumni. They have an alumni group there and were huge football fan. They actually were watching Trojans games
