Hell yeah I give a damn! I've been made fun of by kids at my high school for being bisexual, nobody but my parents and friends seem to give a flying fuck. What digusts me the most about that is my 2 yr old cousin can see that it's wrong to make fun of somebody for ANY reason, but my adult teachers can't?

Every time I read some of the comments on these videos it just drives it home how much further we need to go. I most certainly give a damn - I give a damn about all people regardless of their race, religion, gender or sexual orientation. We have become a society where hatred has become acceptable - we all need to give a damn and love each other. Life's too short to wallow in hatred, what a waste.
At my former school the slogan was: "be different, accept eachother!" etc. The popular, slutty, loud girl in my class said: "be proud if you're gay!" Me: "Thx :)" -"Lol! For real?!" -"Yep, I'm a total lesbo." She: *nervous laughter*. The next day she had started rumors. Bitch. well It's fine with me, I just think it's stupid. Btw: I've changed school, and I have a bisexual bff and a gay teacher ^^ And they don't brag like that they dont say anything cause theres no need to. It's awesome :)
I was bullied in elementary school. No no not for being gay which I am but because I was chosen to be an outcast in about kindergarten or 1st grade. Nothing was done for many years and i felt like dirt because I felt people felt I wasn't worth standing up for. And what the kids said was right. I was very self conscious for the longest time. There was an incident in 6th grade where I picked a fight with a bully and my Granddad said you are finally doing something? She has struggled for years!

You should know that because of bullying, 40% of suicides made by youth are youth who are gay. When i complained about being assaulted back in 1990 they sent me and not the violent criminal assaulter to the school counselor who advised me to try and hide my differences and 'conform' but nothing was done to/about the people who bashed me.
