  • its makes you think, is his hand really damaged, or is it part of his trick

  • @Mancunian786 it is really damaged

  • Rene, sos un maestro!

  • put both of your hands up

oh wait you only have one

  • Rene Lavand can force magicians to think, that he is performing faro, while he actually doing false shuffle with strip out.

  • he is a true magic man when he started with magic there wasn't special camera effects and he debuted in the 60 he is one of the dadis of the modern magicians who use camera effects most of the time like criss angel and david b

  • A true inspiration

  • Effed. So good.

  • I hear that it can't be done any slower... or maybe it can...

  • I've seen him for real and he really does have one arm!

  • Comment removed

  • I don't know something seemed fishy.... :(

  • and you will see what you never saw :p

  • go to my channel

  • Lavand is so smooth, after watching this video about 30ti

  • wowww :|

  • This is like David Blaine x 10. And he did it with one hand. Epic.

  • Lots of double flips seeing that it only seems like he is using just 6 cards. I say no more ;)

AMAZING respect for doing it with just his left hand though!

  • this old man is getting laid^^

  • check new invented magic! Go to my channel;)

  • What most of you do not seem to understand is he lost one arm in a terrible accident and had to teach himself to be a one-handed magician. If you think this is easy to do close up magic with one hand, I think you may be giving yourself too much credit. And try it when you are in your 70's, it gets even harder.

  • when he puts the cards down he puts down not the bottom card but the top card watch him put it down here 2:33 he forces the cards to go into order when he says red black red he just put down red red red then there last 3 cards are all black

  • I remembered watching this perfomance when i was little, one of my favourite performances

  • it's easy to understand. look his hands

  • I watched trick few times I found out how he did it, yes it is easy , but try to do it with one hand is f....ng difficult

  • Magic is in one hand =D

  • Ah ha, I just worked it out, very good sleight of hand

  • Thats just awesome

  • this man is 82 years old, he lost his right hand when he was 9 years old, is a proud for all the argentineans

  • he just pwned everyone in the room...

  • I never get tired of watching this trick!

I also think I'm in love with the voice over guy. Everytime he says "It can't be done any slower" I get tingles!

  • The trick was shown about after 2:30. It's just manipulation of words (red, black.. etc) and great idea and nice hand work. But still very nice one hand trick. Really hope better video quality..

  • I haven't worked out how he does the trick but I've worked out the follery of it :D No other person could do this trick so well though, that he does it one-handed it astounding

  • its soo obvious how he does it

  • @insombro so what??? That is the greatness of Rene. He does from simple trick a huge experience of magic.

  • @insombro just a big mouth, talk when you have your picture in the hall of fame of magicians

  • @maximilianitoaguirre I'm sorry but what's the point in a magic trick which is easy to figure out?

  • great hand technique, i spotted what he did 3rd time i watched it ! great trick Rene with 1 hand too! AWSOME!

  • Poetry and Magic on the right combination.

No se puede hacer más lento.

  • This is the best oil and water trick ever!!! especially one handed!!

  • I saw him last night in Buenos Aires. Unvelieble.

  • It can't be done any slower....

  • best oil and water i had ever seen

  • RENE LAVAND..... the great magician of the world self-taught and with unique style... TE SALUDO MAESTRO!!

  • great trick

  • Rene Lavand is a master.

Will the rest of you quit naming the effect? Let magic be magical and be open to being enchanted.

  • this trick called oil and water

  • simply beautiful, no one does it better

  • extremely well done. talented guy.

  • Gran Gran Gran Rene!, maestro entre los maestros!! 5*****.Los invito a mi canal a ver algunos efectos interesantes, saludos!!!

  • What the heck?!! And with one hand?!!

  • Very VERY Impressive and beautifully done

  • Simply beautiful!

  • can you do it?

  • Dan Sperry watching ... yeah baby

  • @TheTricker079 Sounds great! Why don't you upload a video of you doing it? I'm looking forward to seeing it.

  • that is fukin great

  • THE MASTER

  • no he doesnt have no duplicates

  • thats the Oil and Water magic trick! but that last part was AMAZING! and the fact that he can do all those things with one hand is even more amazing!

  • how does he do that

  • The most amazing part is the perfect cut and Faro shuffle at the end.

That's extremely hard for most magicians with 2 hands. The idea of doing a Faro one-handed is beyond amazing.

  • right, and the perfect cut. incredible work

  • @dakpluto I think the most amazing part is that everyone think he's really shuffling the cards !

  • @girianshiido He is, but he isn't. It is a shuffle, it's just a precise shuffle that puts the cards in an exact order. I've been trying to learn a Faro and can't do it yet. Trying it with just one hand is just unimaginable to me.

  • @dakpluto In another video, you see this "shuffle" from a bad angle and you can clearly see it's a false shuffle (the cards aren't mixed at all). Very deceptive, to say the least.

  • @girianshiido Don't tell them ,so they can keep their amaze capacity, like René would say.

  • @OliveroG Well said!

  • WOW

  • What happened to his arm?

  • es manco!

  • what?

  • He is Shortage

  • Oh, lol.

  • Wat a man he is...kudos.....even if we knw his tricks we cant perform like him..salute

    Así q close the tujes.

    René, dios del Olimpo.

    Slds.

  • I learn the trick watching on and on this videos carefully..is very easy, but the magic is more in the personality of rene lavand than in the cards

  • totaly agree

  • That is the beauty of this trick, it is so simple but René makes it really beautiful.

Also I really love his misdirection techniques in his performance.

  • @MrPimi I saw Rene Lavand perform and give a lecture in 2009. As part of the lecture he taught this routine. This trick IS NOT EASY! Simple, yes, easy no. Just because you 'think' you know how it's done, doesn't make it easy. And trust me, any theory you can come up with as to how this is done, you're probably wrong.

  • Comment removed

  • @magicrev you're right is not easy to do but it is a simple trick, And I dont "THINK" that I know, I really know how its done, and I dont think Im a genius for that... thats what I say that is a simple trick and the real magic is in how perform all this trick rene lavand...

  • @MrPimi how does he do it?

  • wow fabulous. how can i learn it?

  • that was amazing...

  • omg i worked out how he does it!

  • Truly, that man is a god.

  • he is a genious! i cant believe that he did it with just one hand, amazing!

  • dis trick is soooo kool

i was amaze big time especially da last one

  • he is a legend

  • el es el maestro rene lavand

  • wow... one hand and incredabe xD

  • He's incredibly smooth, sometimes i kinda think that he's the "one-handed resurrection-version" of S.W. Erdnase!

  • amazing

  • ??????? how does he do it??????????

  • Rene lavand el mejor mago del mundo! Alive Argentine!!

  • That one-handed strip shuffle is impossible!

  • WOW You saw it to :) I thought i was the only one XD.;) Sharp Eye.

  • Cool dude!

    I love card tricks!

  • If you look extremely close at 1:48 - 1:49. u can see how he pulls out the red card instead of the third black card.

  • does he switch one black against one .... wow, never mind... I'll never understand how he did it.

  • he also reveals this in another video of his, foolishly, if u watch closely on it tho.

  • saw this on TV a few years ago and thot it was amazing

  • Worst Translator ever.

  • lol, i know how... finally :P after watching other videos on this trick, some idiot who couldnt do it very well revealed the trick completely lol, and he did it so obviously. he wasnt even trying to reveal it... it just happened

  • omg i know how he did it

  • I know this effect works as well but in respects to the great master, I wont expose it, but I will say this. he does have a dvd collection that teaches this

  • i used to now how to do that but i forgot

  • OIL AND WATER!!

  • omg impossibole trick

  • This was awesome. No one should try to reveal this trick.

  • Thats Fuckin BadAss...iDont even want 2 know how 2 do it

  • so continue to do your shitty david blaine or tricks like saw or other shit and let that real magician do their work..

  • He's complimenting the video and you start insulting him? You need to relax and stop acting so immature. Maybe the problem is that you're not familiar with American slang. When someone refers to something as badass, they mean that they think it's incredible. Even for the people that are making rude posts you shouldn't sink to their level and start insulting, it's pointless and makes you look extremely immature.

  • Wow

  • even if this trick was revealed, most of you fuck asking wont be able t do it with 2 hands let alone one, so stop asking how its done and just enjoy the trick...

  • exact...

  • how do you do it?

  • please...i recive many mails about this trick...i wont tell how is done for respect of a big master like rene lavand.

  • anyway..if u want to know this trick go to meir yedid magic store and buy the dvd....i hope u know meir yedid.......

  • firstable...this trick is not fake..is just a very cool trick...second.......THAT MAN...THAT MAYBE U DONT KNOW CAUSE U KNOW ONLY CRISS ANGEL OR DAVID BLAINE....OR STUFF LIKE THAT BUT NOT STORICAL MAGICIANS....HAS ONLY 1 HAND!!

  • Amazing

  • Thats a fake hand of cards that i also have, it changes color wehn you press it!

  • Moron, is obvious when he changes the card, is a regular hand of cards.

  • go do your mother and shut up!

  • idiot..ive explanation also...is a genuine trick...

  • ok what? you need to learn how to write. So what exactly are you trying to say?

  • that i know how the trick work!

  • teach me

  • actually this trick is charming and cool only if is performed with 1 hand like the master do,if is done normally with 2 hands..is nothing special is still a good trick but not so so cool like that and anyway..if u are a magicia u can understand this trick alone..

  • how, im trying to learn many tricks, can u teach me this one?

  • your moms a genuine trick bitch

  • stupid...

  • You are sad. It is really sad to think that all magic tricks are based on gimmicks. Probably you have a collection of gimmicks and you brag about being a magician in front of your friends. That is lame. Magician involves being skillful in sleight of hands, even beginners knows that. And any beginner would know glimpse how this trick is done. You are just lame.

  • how is that the greatest card trick ever

  • Certainly not his best trick, but shows pretty good skills with one hand anyway. For amateur audience it's also well prepared.
