Her use of the words you, your, us, our, and we in this just goes to show the bias she has against conservatives and libertarians. Screw the mainstream media.
He isn't saying we lower taxes on JUST the wealthy. He saying we lower taxes on EVERYONE . Why should they have to pay more than 25% of they're income? The wealthy already pay 96% of the income taxes, do you liberals want them to pay 100%???
LOL!!! lowering taxes on the wealthy would do nothing for job creation. The wealthy have enjoyed super low taxes under the bush administration and the number of jobs in this country have steadily declined! Job creation is driven by both demand and new innovation and if you think otherwise then you are total imbecile. Rand Paul is totally against science and innovation just like the rest of the Tea Bags. He needs to take economics 101 because he has no clue about how jobs are created.
How can you have demand if the people are under water with debt. How can you pay for innovation when profits are taxed away to pay for social programs that don't work. Economics 101 is quite clear, taxes effect equilibrium price and reduce production.
lowering taxes on income tax for just the wealthy to "create jobs" is the stupidest thing I have ever heard from a Paul, he could at least propose a tax rate decrease for everybody, damn I like his dad better
@urrejhipokritet You aren't hearing him right. He is proposing we cut taxes for EVERYONE. Not just the rich. He IS proposing that we DON'T raise taxes on the rich.
@bobresnade -- Campaign for Liberty has grown to more than half a million members in just over three years, and we've been able to provide key allies like Rand Paul with the grassroots backup they need to stand up for freedom. Consider joining. It's free.
@undeadarsenal Yeah, that happens all the time in the real world. People pass on promotions and raises because the extra responsibility isn't worth the added tax burden. Come on. You really think that the majority of the 24 million Americans who are under- or unemployed are willfully passing on chances at gainful employment because it makes more sense to sit back and rake in the benefits? That's just silly.
@syghur I didn't say it was your fault. I'm also not receiving unemployment insurance, so relax, your not subsidizing my laziness. I, like everyone else who earns up to $106,800 a year pay payroll taxes, part of which go towards unemployment ins. And as for Sen. Paul, he is now a part of the federal government, and thus does deserve part of the blame for the sorry state of things in this country. As long as he continues his tireless advocacy on behalf of the wealthy, he's part of the problem.
@wilkijt I might be interpreting this wrong so i just want to make sure I have your stance right on this..."As long as he continues his tireless advocacy on behalf of the wealthy, he's part of the problem." Do you think the wealthy should be taxed more? and if so why do you think the people who create jobs should be penalized (taxed) for creating jobs? thanks in advance for a response :)
@undeadarsenal Do I think that we should have a progressive tax system that reflects the huge gains in after-tax income that the top 2% of earners in this country have seen in the last 30 years? Yes, I do. And as for the bit about the mythical job-creators who go on hiring sprees to celebrate reductions in their effective tax rates, show me some evidence that that concept has ever worked.
Look, all I'm saying is that Paul and others like him are all about cutting taxes for the rich, but when the subject of working- and middle-class relief comes up, all you get is ho-hum comments about it being a drain on resources and running up the deficit. Middle class has been getting hosed for far too long, Sen. Paul is one of the enablers, and it has to stop.
@wilkijt anyone who believes in a progressive tax system intrigues me. This is basically saying if you become more successful, make more money, etc we are going to take more of what you earn and conversely if you leach off society and do as little as possible we wont tax you at all. So in effect what you have really done is discouraged getting out of poverty.
@wilkijt Ex: If someone was paid $20/an hour to sit and do nothing or paid $50/an hour to manage but had responsibility and give up 25% to help pay for expenses most people would pick the $20 because the other isn't worth it. All numbers are completely made up but it illustrates the point quite nicely.
"that's a tax cut!!!" lol i love how she thinks that she "gotcha" with that question. is there an interviewer anywhere that can have a discussion about the debt without restricting the guest to yes or no answers like they're in an interrogation? i'm glad the senator goes on these programs to give his message, but seeing the media react towards him is a bit discouraging. keep up the good work! p.s. i hope you can mention your PROPERTY WRONGS hearing on a major media outlet!
ITS ALL ABOUT BANKS AND HAVING US AND THE WORLD IN DEBT. BOTH WORLD WARS... ABOUT BANKS CONTROL OF EARTH. DEATH TO ZION AND HER BANKS! RAND KICKED THIS BITCH IN THE ASS.
Stossel was on last week and indicated that if you took all the millionaires and billionaires income it wouldn't even come close to solving our problem. sooooooo...
So, easing the tax burden on the rich is absolutely vital to our nation's economic security, and oh, I don't know, I guess if we reeealy HAVE to extend the payroll tax holiday for wage-earners we can maybe do it sometime later, and we certainly can't extend unemployment insurance because that will just encourage those lazy, freeloading slobs. Is that about right, Senator? Well, on behalf of the 24 million unemployed and underemployed Americans, I say thanks a lot, ya jerk.
The US mainstream media are completely dominated by the Corporations that own them. The difference between them and Nazi propaganda is minimal at best. Who can possibly take the media of this country serious anymore.
@lathankilbrand Nazi propaganda?? You mean Zionist propaganda... The Nazis fought the banks control of there nation completely. Why you think we had the war? banks banks banks...
@GlenRoSSe69 Propaganda that is doled out via a controlling entity that only proffers what that entity wants to push. Nazi propaganda was simply an example of that. You actually seem to defend the Nazi's with your statement, which I hope is untrue. That said, I'm aware of the fact that Hitler issued his own currency and did help Germany recover financially. Still, look at what he chose to do with that money, the atrocities he managed and the fear he spread.
The Super Committee is unconstitutional and we need to keep shouting this and hope that people start to care.
As for the budget problems, Rand is definitely trying to do the right thing here, but it looks to be too little, too late. I don't blame him at all for the problem. He was actively fighting for lower taxes and getting local politicians to take the no tax increase pledge long before the Taxed Enough Already movement got off the ground. Keep trying, Rand!
It's not a super congress, just a committee. Whatever legislation comes out of the super committee still goes to vote under the entire Congress. Of course we all knew after Monday that the Super Committee failed it's goal. Any legislation had to be published for 48 or 72 hrs before it could go to a vote. With hindsight we know the whole scam was never intended to be anything more than a distraction to actually focusing on the problems the Super Committee was tasked to solve.
Her use of the words you, your, us, our, and we in this just goes to show the bias she has against conservatives and libertarians. Screw the mainstream media.
