  • hey where where you born? uh, woodstock :(

  • god i would die to go to woodstock..

  • I was one of the babies born there... LOL jkjk that would be awesome though!

  • The amazing thing about woodstock was that a lot of the groups were pushed on the stage without really being ready to play.

  • The doors should have been there.

  • Beiber jls tiny tempa at festivals now.... the who, hendrix you now.... GOOD bands back then lets see who would put on a better show love it how people even try and compare modern music with 60s/70s music no competition what so ever

  • In late 60s and early 70s we didn't call ourselves hippies we called ourselves freaks.

  • Dammm those 2 babys who were born on woodstock....i wonder if there hippies

  • i remember when i was there. i had so much fun. i was at the front row

  • 0:11 kinney michaels is the kid clapping his hands in this video. formerly gottlieb michaels. anyway, he would like to hook up with anyone who wants to talk about woodstock and relate the stories. it changed his life and im posting this for him. shiprockers at yahoo dot com is his email, please drop him a line if you want to chat about it with him he would love it!

  • 0:09 The hippie with the bandana playing the guitar is Country Joe McDonald. He went there that day just to check it out and see the party. Him and his band Country Joe & The Fish were to play the next day. The people in charge of the music acts needed someone to fill in for a person who was presumably stuck in traffic. They found Joe and asked if he could be that man. He didnt have his own guitar, so they gave him someone elses that only had a string as a sling. He got tossed on stage and BOOM!

  • iam 52 years old man i remember these days lots of pot and pussy

  • 2:44 is hilarious lolol

  • The proliferation of drugs among leftist movements was a deliberate sabotage by capitalist influences to weaken, distract, and 'dope up' the protesters, who were perceived as a threat to both capitalism, and to American global interests.

  • i thought this event was held in california weird that im just finding out it was new york lol :)

  • ohh my god it would be so sick to say you were born at woodstock

  • @Music100Quality i agree

  • few deaths? wtf? 2:49

  • @nastakooza considering how many attended, with all the drug usage and lack of water , toilets , food, remember this was the 60's , no cell phones , bottled water didn't exist, and the crowd was huge

  • nie rozumiem ale slysze jakby sobie przypisywali woodstock tepe chuje

  • I may have been the scene of 2 births, but it was the cause of thousands. lol

  • @danoto1000 Screw You. We're Lucky iF There Are Even GENUINE Hippies Still Around. Hippies Just Had Peace And Love. So What They Took Drugs.?? They Did iT To Be Calm.!!! Not Just To Be High Like Nowadays. So iWISH They Were Running America. Life Would Be ALOT Better'!

  • @tawnypelt123 Beer buzz, OK Drunk Not! High OK, Stoned out of your gord, Not! All things in moderation. Freedom is what we were founded on and freedom we need back!!

    dupree

  • these are the people running america now 2011.were in big trouble

  • even if this happened again, none of the bands today could even compare to acts like the who or jimi hendrix. also, the woodstock was about peace and love. these were different people back then. now if there was a woodstock it would probs be like infiltrated with try-hard indie kids or lads, just as an opertunity to smoke up. also there would be alot more violence and people would get hurt. this gerenation are pretty much idiots.

also like all the best bands are either dead or really really old

  • @lisaisaparasitex shpongle

  • i wish i was at woodstock <3

  • And If I could make this happen again I would best part of my life

  • i live one hour from woodstock and this scares the crap outa me

  • aww theres a border collie by the skinny dipping lake ....

  • she talks way to fast and choppy... i dont have a clue what the hell she just yapped. all she did was read something, and was told to keep every word perfect. what a freaking waste of my time.

  • Proof that pot makes peace

  • i would give anything to would have been able to attend woodstock

  • @NaniiMiss

    me too

  • Przecież woodstock jest w polsce

  • People criticized the hippie generation for being filthy, having no expectation in life smoking weed, having sex all the time and many other things... but now it´s considered cool to be a gangster and kill each other in the streets... Bring back the 60´s and all about its culture and peace and love mentality PLEASE!!!!

  • @Euclides287

Seems to me your the one having a prob with it, as i never heard of what your saying now but ok. Must be a cool thing to get thumb up lol

  • @Euclides287 I hope you realize that this whole hippy carnival was a deliberate detraction to prevent the movement from ever achieving any real socio-economic or political change. In the end John Lenin condemned the movement and supported Mao.

"Love and Peace" is the last thing the world needs when unchecked corporate powers have made every politician a prostitute, controlling not only the media but the military and even the writing of laws. Workers are still treated as a disposable commodity.

  • @Euclides287 occupy wall street is starting it ;)

  • @Euclides287 i agree with you ,but we r pleasing THEM(you know who) to bring hippie times n 60s back....but WE HAVE TO DO THAT !!!

  • @Euclides287 It's a clear run from the hippies to the ganstas.

  • lucky lucky lucky ppl wish i could of been there but i wasnt born yet , lol still had a couple of years before that happened haha , but wow i wished i was one of the 2 births that had happened there ! can u imagine the story u would have an how u would be one of the woodstock babys woohooo amazing ;} love an peace my ppl

  • @lrivera999 troll

  • @lrivera999 ..... Right on !!!_........The most life changing event and era of the century.

  • @lrivera999 wait a minute. What the hell were you doing in Woodstock,NY ? The festival was in Bethel.

  • @worldskater31

"I hope rap and hip hop and all people associated with it crash and burns."

You remind me of a pro lifer who supports the death penalty. You obviously have a poor understanding of what that generation meant. Wiping out an entire culture of music because it's not to your taste, HONESTLY. Some fucking people.

  • I can't find one reason on why I wasn't born in this generation. >.<

  • This is the kind of video that makes me want to turn my life

    to another angle.

  • Is it just me or does almost every hippie look ugly. Maybe its their beards but even the womem. I just always felt none of them looked good looking

  • no offense but nothing will ever beat WOODSTOCK 99!!!

    DEAL WITH IT!

  • Woodstock Generation

  • I want to go back. If I close my eyes I can still see the "Orange Sunshine". Woodstock was an oasis in the eye of the American storm.

  • Fucking great!!What a fabulous time.Life is so short,we must try and enjoy it.Ah Salud!!

  • 2:57 - Kirk Hammet!!!)))))

  • GOD DAMNIT GET US BACK.

  • like TOTALLY WRONG BACKGROUND MUSIC

  • being born at Woodstock, thats more than a cool stake to fame.

  • @HarrisonDunnett I feel like an asshole talking about this on a woodstock video but Immortal Technique is the best rapper ever!!! He talks about real shit, not just money and bitches like all those gay rappers. He is one of the best lyricists of all time. If u dont like rap listen to Immortal Technique and u will change your mind

  • @TheGrownUpAdult.

yeah, that means that footage was released in 1999 on a video or DVD called

    "Jimi Hendrix: Live at Woodstock"

it's probably just a DVD of the entire set Hendrix did, nothing else. no other bands, just his part. you see now?

  • @ontariobuds Was it first released in 1999? Wow, that was late..

  • @TheGrownUpAdult it's probably one of a million different dvd's. Someone just wanted to make money so they put together "Jimi Hendrix: Live at woodstock, 30th anniversary edition!!"

meanwhile it is nothing new. I bet 2069 there will be yet another one, jut because it is 100 years after the fact.

  • @ontariobuds Hm, strange.. Well, sorry for lashing out on people for no reason

  • @TheGrownUpAdult you didn't have to remove your comment

    xD

  • @ontariobuds well, it's kinda useless now :P

  • e.t. minha casa....

  • my god the terrible, disgusting things i would do for an opportunity to go back in time to this!

  • i was at woodstock it was crazy , i took off from my home in pa and went by volkswagon bus with my older cousin , well my parents had no idea where i was at till , i was able to use a phone at some guys house next to woodstock , man did i get beat when i got home ,, would i do it again lol in a heart beat

  • my mom's sister was there... too bad my mom missed it I think she's been depressed about it ever since. lol

  • Anybody know what the song in the background is?

  • I THINK I SAW MY DAD.!(:

    Lmao.(:

  • i am glad this is all over, i just do not get into the shit other kids do, im proud of who i am today

  • Wow, this makes me fucking hate the time period i was born in... all this rap and hip hop bull shit. I wanna hear the good music at Woodstock.

  • born during woodstock. that is pure awesome

  • hash was great back then.....Can't believe so much time has passed since those good times I spent as a hippie

  • Jimi hendrix 1999 he died long before that?

  • @aleeyksf What are you trying to figure out? lol

  • @Mega3P1Kness In the video it says 1999 but that doesnt make sense

  • I was born at the wrong time :(

I wish I could have seen Hendrix and Gallagher and The Stones(in their prime) and The Beatles, the real musicians.

  • scotty, beam me back!!!!

  • LOVE Parade Part 2

  • 1969

  • I was only 6 at the time.....nuts!

  • it's time for woodstock part 2!!

  • I'm lucky i wasn't there with those stinky leftsiders

  • i wish i was there...

too bad i was born in 1994...

  • @FallenhasaDeathwish as was i. I feel like we got screwed over living in this generation. missing woodstock and then the 70's...

  • I am inviting to the Woodstock festival to Poland! Peace & love & music & ganja! 4,5, 6 August 2011!!!

Addresses of web pages - password "Przystanek Woodstock" for Wikipedia, I will send interesting films and other websites and the plenty of photographs to the mail. Hmm... I think that I will help also with the accommodation.:) I offer the help and the information. As far as possible with journey from Warsaw. jsmd999

  • u know this was badass when in 2011 we still cnt come close to topping it....or maybe today just isnt as cool as the 60s

  • This needs to happen again, the world is getting too boring by the day.

  • @GalacticApple come to west coast! we got PLUR

  • @GalacticApple The world is way to greedy for something like this to happen nowadays. All people care about it money. And the music industry is absolutely rubbish besides a few like NeverShoutNever. I wish I was born in the 1950's. ):

  • @GalacticApple You are so right! My generation enjoyed the dance music of the late 80's & nineties. It was like the 2nd 60's but the Music & generation today is flat & very boring with their manufactured R&B with White girls sticking their buts in grow bags so they can emulate black Women. It's a very sad time in the History for young people! I'm glad I grew up when I did!

  • God my dad was so lucky he went to woodstock 1969 -.- AJAKJBAKKNASNnjkjBSKJKB I envy this man

  • I'm with the guy below. I hope rap and hip hop and all people associated with it crash and burns. I hate this time in life. I would give anything to be born in like 1950 or something so I could just be able to witness firsthand this era. What a life people had!

  • @worldskater31 Yep youre on the right track......... For once, in this case, the hype was overwhelmed by the reality. All the great happenings occur by accident. If it broke the backers bank accounts to stage Woodstock, then it was a small price to pay for creating a genuine and natural historic moment. There was no choreography here.....

  • @worldskater31 If you really look into hiphop you'll see that 50cent and Snoop Dog don't represent all hip hop - Would you accept that kid rock and marilyn manson represent all rock music? Of course not. I agree that there is a really ugly side to Hiphop, but some of the most innovative music around is missed because of the bad reputation certain idiots have given the style. Hip hop started as a peace movement, and is meant to be about inclusivity and self expression, so don't wish it away!

  • @EtcEtcAndEtc Well said.

  • @worldskater31 fuck off and go kill yourself then if you dont like this life

  • @worldskater31 jesus you're a walking contradiction. "I hope rap and hip hop and all people associated with it crash and burns"??? Wow, what a really peaceful suggestion..

  • @worldskater31 You've no idea! But thanks for appreciating it...

  • @worldskater31 i like rap music and hip hop. i will always like rap. but u are right. i wish i could gop back to the 70s when rap and crack wern't the same thing. listen to nwa express your self. that is real rap. and wood stock will always beat any rap concert ever. the rap now a days sucks. 50s 60s 70s is when music was music. from rap to contry to rock.

  • @worldskater31 despite the awsome music that the 60s had, the world was surrounded by alot of racism and violence. The Vietnam war and the civil rights movement wouldnt be that fun to be around. Imagine having an outright corrupt government. it may seem like a fun and interesting life, but in reality there was alot of hardship surrounding woodstock.

  • @worldskater31 buy tickets to coachella or the electric daisy carnival

  • @worldskater31 even worse, that electro shit which is overwhelming music nowadays...

  • @worldskater31 dude i love 60s rock and all things Woodstock but dont curse out an entire genre because the 60s have come and gone. Modern Hip Hop artists may have spawned a ridiculous culture in the mainstream nowadays but there are plenty of incredible albums and artists to come out of the hip hop genre. No one has to enjoy rap if they aren't into it but to curse out an entire genre out of love for the 60s is a absurd.

  • @worldskater31 You aint much of a hippie if you hope somone burns .. i personally love 90s rap

  • @worldskater31 cant say i hate hiphop

now yeah but 20-30 years ago it was great

  • @worldskater31 okay no, not one hippie would say that. You are a fucking poser. I love underground rap and respect other music and its culture. If you dont like something, stay away from it, its that simple. Geeze what a fucking child.

  • @BluntsNBeats well apparently 60 people thumbed up. im not saying im a hippie.. im trying to say that look what we used to have! what a life! something happened and now we are stuck in a hithole full of synthesizers and gangsters that think talking fast about how many "bitches" or expensive cars they have is music. no, i will take no part in it. i do stay away from it but for living in the united states of america i preserve the right for free speech. i may say what i please.

  • SPEECHLESS

  • i don't know how you feel about what went on at woodstock 69 but that was a awesome, awesome event. there could have been as many as a half million fans whose intent was to get high on drugs, alcohol and music and share peace...gone but not forgotten.

  • This affected my father so deeply that he organised and held South Africa's first 24hr pop festival held at the rand Show Grounds, the very next year. Nearly every band in South Africa played. We didn't have a powerful enough sound system in RSA in those days so Laney flew over the complete sound system free of charge. I was about15 years old at the time and this changed my life forever.

  • why are they playing that song in the background in the begining

    it doesnt fit man

  • I was born 20 years after Woodstock but dude that must have been a great time to be alive.

  • 2:44

  • Comment removed

  • if you remember woodstock, you werent there

  • I wish i could of been there...nothing like that will ever be done again. And if they do, it wont even be comparable because of the artists of our generation. Our souls wouldn't be drifted away like in that time.

  • Comment removed

  • damn you commercials

  • wish i was alive then
