  • wtf wet the window put the film on take the film off wet the window dry the window wet the window put the film on take the film off wet the window....... wtf

  • If you want quality tint from a professional that has years of experience, DO NOT go to McBees Window Tinting, located 1297 South Pleasantburg Drive Greenville, SC 29650. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH THIS BUSINESS. Mcbee claims to have 20 Years experience in tinting, but his quality of work looks like he has 20 mins of experience. First of all he leaves dirt and towel residue between the tint and the widow and claims that its a defect in the widow. DO NOT WASTE TIME OR MONEY!!!!!

  • @afroguyy3 He also stole all my loose change from down the bcak of my seats!!

  • Love the video!!! He damn sho know what he doing!!!

  • Great video thanks

Where I give to buy for my 2001 jetta

  • Now if i black out my back window wouldn't that make my rear view mirror useless? o.O

  • i do window tinting as well prestigeautotintingdotcom your video its really helpful

  • ive done this before it didnt go well

  • good video!

  • do you have to use a heat gun on the tint or you dont have too?

  • how do you get it off, mine has gone all wrinky

  • Great Video.

  • how did i get here

  • By application solution, they really just mean SOAP AND WATER.

Besides all that, it's cheap enough to just pay a shop a hundred bucks to do the entire car in usually about an hour.

  • I think we'll need more than one bottle of application solution for this... haha

  • the music in this video is garbage

  • I'd fuck this up

  • just finished tinting my vx commodore windows with help from this video .. 15% and looking good

  • New car cap fits in under 60 seconds and has no straps, hooks or ties to hold it in place ... keep yr car KOOL on hot days car cap.com.au

  • This looks like a pain in the ass

  • Hey can someone help me. I just had my windows tinted professionally. The back window as a 2" hair behind the film. Is there any way I can remove this or make it less noticeable? The tint has bubbled around the hair.

  • @megafast13 yes their is. take it back to whoever did it and tell them to replace your film. its a pressure sensitive adhesive that locks and bonds as soon as 5lbs is applied to the product..Im sorry for the bad news but where i come from it never would have left my shop like that. QUALITY CONTROL is always the key. and another tip. ask as many quwstions as you need to before leaving and never pay for a job if your not satisfied. hope ythis helped you.

  • @megafast13 If you really want to extract the hair, carefully take a cutting blade along one side of the hair and pick it out. Then you can press the film to the glass with a card. It won't look perfect, but it will look better than a nasty ass hair.

  • @pearlmax Hey Thanks for letting me know! After a month or so would it still be safe to do that?

I thought it would be okay to extract it if I just made a slight incision with a razor blade.

  • This doesn't look hard at all. Just take your time while doing it. I'm about to tint my Pathfinder windows.

  • Stuff that I'll pay the pro's

  • @Chazyorkshire Bloody hell, a yorkshireman paying someone for summat he can do for free? Must not really be from Yorkshire...

  • @phillyb69 Lol, you know the score! originally from Surry ;)

  • @ElectroRussian one way to make the solution at home is to mix laundry detergent with water. Thats just one way to make it though. there are many other ways to make it better that that.

  • Yeah I've been tinting every day for almost 2 years and I still have a toughg time. Plus don't buy this tint it sucks. So does 3M I don't know why people think it's so good. Get lumar it's the only kind I use

  • Haha, guys so you know. This guy makes it look easy. If it's your first time tinting it will take you 30 min to a hour for EACH window. So it would suck for the people who have a SUV. If I was you, I would go get it professionally done.

  • Hey thanks! My Honda does not have tinted windows! But I'm gonna try this my self! Lol:)

  • its so easy to make your own tint solution

  • dont understand what the music about? a lot of work to protect my 'vehicle', it worth it.

  • Wow this looks like way too much work.

  • Great video.

  • Have you ever seen the movie 'The Lovely Bones'?

  • if you buy a precut kit online it is very cheap. i got m8y 5% precut kit for 35$. and im getting a 20% kit for 15$. and its precut too fit my exact car. just type in Pre cut Tint on ebay. or the name of your car. like 1996 Honda Accord precut Tint. they have all sorts of cheap but quality grade tint.

  • Very helpful video, glad I'm leaving mine to the experts now, for £200 fitted for seven windows it's not worth the hassle

  • @stretch7158 it's worth doing it yourself, then you have something to brag about! And you also you love the car more when you do things by yourself :)

  • what car was that red one. a mazda protege maybe?

  • Ok thats kind of stupid to say. A shaded well lit area thats gonna be hard to find.

  • i definitely should have watched this video before i tinted

  • Hey I followed this video to put 20% on the sides of my truck and 5% on th rear using Gila application solution and basic gila tint.

I learned: The wind WILL pick up when you have removed the backing and are trying move the film. creases result.

    can I heat them out?

    Thanks for the tube

  • It does look so easy on this video, but its not for no one with experience, Once you do one window well tho im sure you are sorted with all the rest

  • I paid a bomb for pre cut tints and it went so wrong! bought some tint roll for loads cheaper and going to try again following this videos instructions, fingers crossed!!!

  • @Roxycan21 Good luck dude. I tried doing the tints on my car today and it was an epic fail :(

  • @intheshitter What went wrong? any tips would be great

  • @intheshitter Practice makes perfect!

  • I learned at

    window-tint-training com

pretty cheap, helped me get on the right path to make some money

  • learn how to tint windows on my channel!!

  • where this product come from??(GILA)??

  • STUPID ADVERTISEMENT

  • Its about 200 bucks for tint here... doing it yourself is REALLY easy but the only hard part is if you have really curved back windows. just for flat window's like trucks and side windows is a piece of pie.

  • @13guitarman13 that's when you start using the heat gun, Search for "BAck Window tint" or something :)

  • I just tinted the windows on my wife's 08 ford focus and it only took me about 45 mins. and it looks great. It isn't as hard as you might think it is if you just take your time and make sure the glass is 100% clean or your tint will peel right off from bubbles.

(I own my own car audio and window tinting shop so I know what I'm talking about.)

  • @chevyman2482 You say it isn't hard then you say you own you're own shop where you do this. lets hope you don't find this hard to do. i mean you are making a living doing this. and car audio but still.

  • @aaminjoshi91 Dude it really aint that hard. Yes it does take a steady hand when your trimming the excess film off and maybe thats your problem. How this guy in the video explains it is the easiest way possible and the same way I would have if I had done the video. Avg. time on each window minus the rear window should take any longer than maybe 7-8 mins

  • @chevyman2482 Well maybe for experienced hands its not that hard but to make sure its line up correctly and evenly across the bottom next to it being cut properly and cleaned properly isn't exactly a walk in the park for all. i'm not arguing with you that it is really hard i'm just saying first timer's like me don't exactly see this as easy.

  • @aaminjoshi91 Its all good man. The more you do these projects the better you will get at it. Don't expect everything to work right the first time.

  • @chevyman2482 Well next to that there is a difference in tints to right? the film i mean? the 10 dollar roll at autozone is pretty cheap crap right? not lasting and durable? it'll discolor and fade after a year or so? i mean i don't want to buy a bunch of supplies and have to wear off after a year. any opinions on that man?

  • @aaminjoshi91 The Tint at auto zone is basically same stuff I use but on the lower end of quality. I know Walmart sells the Black Magic brand which is actually not to shabby. The only way your gonna get tint that will fade is if it was made by some peice of shit store like Dollar General if they even ever sold it...lol....Here is my suggestion to you if you wanna try doing it your self. Go to walmart and buy the application kit and 1 roll of the Black Magic tint

  • @aaminjoshi91 The application kit will contain a dvd usually showing you step by step how to do it right. I say buy one roll so that you don't feel like a schmuck if u mess up. Try doing your front drivedr and passenger side windows. PLEASE PLEASE be careful when applying the film to the windows as not trying to crease it because once its been creased you might as well tear it off and try again. If you still are having trouble in applying it just go to a locla tint shop and have them do it

  • @aaminjoshi91 And the nice thing about having the pros do it is if your tint develops bubbles after it has dried or from the rear defrost of from scratches is that we will replace it for free cuz shit does happen. Average cost for a tint job is bout 150-200 depending on how many windows and whether you want to put a brow on your front windshield

  • @chevyman2482 well i drive a 2002 durango (4x4 suv) and my 4 rear windows and my tail gate window are all about 20% tinted so how much would it be for 35% tint on the front driver and passenger window? i was thinking about doing this which is why i was watching a video such as this one.

  • @aaminjoshi91 Well if your gonna have someone do it...I'd say bout 70.00 bucks but thats also inlucding installation and so forth

  • @chevyman2482 Do places Like Abra auto body and glass do window tint? I'm not to sure about many window tinting places around here you know and i know Abra works with auto glass so i was wondering if they do anything?

  • @aaminjoshi91 I dont have any idea bro. I live in indianapolis

  • @chevyman2482 and i live in Minneapolis lol. I was just wondering if you knew prices range from region to region. i get mostly exhaust work done since i'm young and want loud but my point being to weld in a muffler round here its about 40 bucks over in new jersey and places they charge like 150 bucks so big jump you know?

  • @aaminjoshi91 Yeah I never really pay attention to out of state prices. I'd imagine itd prolly be there same there as I charge here.

  • @chevyman2482 hopefully man, because 70.00 bucks is not bad and i would probably dish that out real quick. lol though i sorta broke now. I'm only 18 and i just spent 250 bucks on my exhaust a few weeks ago and i just tuned up my truck yesterday which was about 35 bucks so I'm broke lol but soon. hopefully soon! I'll give some places a call around here for prices.

  • Ya know its even sad when i put 20% tint on my Iphone

  • Comment removed

  • not @ the outside idiots, it needs to be @ the inside..

  • anyone know a replacement for application solution

  • @sam72998 baby soap and water in a spray bottle

  • Thanks for your instruction, very helpful

  • r the tints also done on the outside or just the inside

  • looks SOOOOO easy

  • If you have not done window tinting, do not try. GILA FILM IS THE BEST

  • i followed these instructions and the blade put deep scratches on the window glass. I feel like punching this moron.

  • @mrnadir2000 what the hell were you doing, putting all your weight on the knife?:P all you have to do it lay the knife there and just pull :p plus scratches are not noticeable with the tint on

  • I think I can do it! How long should I wait to roll down the window? Thanks for an awesome video!

  • i guess this would suck if u had rain guards or whatever they're called on the windows...lol

  • hell no..that guy said u will need tape...fuck that..pay a professional

  • Fuck i'll just pay a pro to do it for $200 lol

  • @OoAtowno0 yeah go ahead bitch give that pro your hard earn $200 bucks and while there window tinting your car they might open your hood and pour a salt inside your engine and pour some acid on your gas tank, never ever let anybody touch your car cause people in the automotive world is nothing but a jealous fuckers who wants to fuck up there own customers cars cause they hate there job

  • @theLEADERofTROLLING what a creep, what world are u living in?

  • @theLEADERofTROLLING learn to spell and use proper grammar it makes you look like your about 12 and don't even own a car yet...

  • @sparts2271 It's you're about 12, not your about 12...dumb ass. Why don't you learn to spell before you start telling other people too! lol

  • @harmz2005 wow lol you are criticizing me for forgetting an apostrophe

    i guess trolls gonna troll

  • @sparts2271 And you missed out the e ;)

  • Car doors have drain holes for water there is a membrane in between the door card and the door that stops the water leaking into the car.

  • what happens to the water he pushed down :O

  • wow, that music was stressing me out

  • @mrhernandez81 lol dude

  • okay guys, i just bought "peel and cling window tint, 5%" by Gila......is this stuff worth my time to put on or is it cheap stuff....it was 24 bucks a role.....im going to take my time....will this stuff be okay

  • I'm so glad they added background music to this. It totally made the tint process seem cool. : /

  • LEGAL DE MAIS MESMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

  • dis guy the bomb and tintin but i bet he gets no pussy :/

  • @buttsecksist relevant to nothing

  • im just gonna pay someone to do it!!!!!!!!!!!

  • why does he keep saying he-la?

  • @erikman89 i gues the g is silent lol

  • This video is right on point...just wished I would have watched before I started tinting. As long as you take your time anyone should be able to do a decent job and save themselves a few bucks in the process.

  • i tinted my own windows and it turned out great, its all about patience and using the right tools. I tinted my windows 5% all around the back and i tinted a few of my friends too.

  • GILA SUKS >>>

  • same song over and over again. lame

  • Tit job? Ooooooh, TINT job, ok now I get it!

  • DONT EVEN GO AND DOIT YOURSELF. GO GT IT DONE PROFESIOANLY. FUCKING WASTE OF TIME AND EFFORT AND MONEY. THIS VIDEO IS LITERALLY DOG SHIT ADVICE.

  • @thiessen35 You're right. People who do it themselves make it look Mexican. (Air bubbles).

  • its even harder than it looks

  • this is waaaaaay harder then it looks. wasted my money trying to DIY as shown. you either need a lot of natural talent and/or practice, and/or I just suck. Expensive mistake. Get it done pro.

  • i do tinting window in NC. cheap

  • the soundtrack is horrific

  • Believe me it takes a lot a practice to get right, I'm havin a hell of a time tryin to tint my wifes car. Basically cause I was following the idiotic instructions on the tint packaging, wish I had seen this video beforehand'.

  • @poetic34 amen to that, I'm in the same boat as you. It looks waaaaay easier than it is.

  • @SDphantom29 I still ain't finished cause where I'm located we're in the middle of winter, I have no garage. Says on the tint packaging that the outdoor/room temparature needs to be at least 15 degrees or above. My wife say's she's not fussy as long as the windows are dark! Well the one's I've done are definaetly dark, lol. (wonder if I can rip it off and try again, no.. she'd hate me then").

  • Will water and soap work like the spray?

  • what if water drips down the gasket?

  • @ASUSproz Doesnt make a bit of difference. I tint windows in houses and cars for a living. Dont worry about it.

  • gonna tint my integra

  • @awhiteboi vtec just kicked in yo

  • awesome tutorial.....

ima go outside and tint my ride now

    thanx

  • I'm confused...does tint go on the inside or the outside of window...lol This might be dumb but I'm lost...

  • @KCDJ2009

Goes on the inside, on the outside it is prone to dirt, dust water etc.

  • @KCDJ2009 inside haha its prep on the outside of the window

  • im gonna tint my audi a4 quattro this are some good tips

  • Tint is an art check out my videos to see our artwork.

  • online at protintnj

  • knobed time..... ahaha.

    This is a lame video.

  • I tried this and i have a problem, the tint gets caught when i put the window down and when i put it back up the tint is all pulled off. I left about 1/2 inch and pushed it down below the gasket like it says, but when i put the window down then back up the tint comes off! WHAT do i do about this?

  • @Declipse16 did you let it dry? you are supposed to let it dry 2-3 days.

  • @gregorym93 No i didn't know that till after i wasted a whole roll that you were supposed to let it dry. But i just went and had it done professionally after i tried it myself

  • i tried installing the tint. i cut it almost perfectly . but installing it and placing it i found out that it scratches easily. any tips for doing this task without scratching it? it even looks very fragile..

  • @maradonasssssss buy the Scratch proof security film, sum like 2 -5 mil thick

  • @eddiemiles1920 where can i buy this online? i live in Cyprus they only sell the cheap one.

  • im doing my cars windows tomorow for this first time has any actually followed this tutorial as a first time tinter like my self. lol and how did it go !!!!!!!

  • the best tint video ive ever seen

  • I bought some tint online that was pre-cut for my car for just $20. I figure I can try it myself and if I screw up, I can take it off and have it done professionally.

  • you'd have to mexican to try and do this yourself.

  • good stuff bro

  • this is bullshit =/=

  • Wellllll, I'm gunna tint my windows today or tomorrow and it's my first time. So wish me luck :)

  • Excelent job, thanks for posting this, it really helps

  • So at 2:22 when he says let the bottom of the film go 1/4 to 1/2 inch below the top of the inside gasket, do you put the film between the gasket and window or over top of it?

  • i will try do it that my first time

  • can i just use a glue stick and glue the tint liner on?

  • Yes, if you're careful but ask a professional to assist you when using the glue.

  • @domzalski002 sure u can... u can even use ur own shit to stick it

  • That looks harder than I thought it would be. I want to do that to some of my windows at home, to stop the glare from the sun.

  • whats with the gay music in the background?

ive never seen anyone put tint on this easily

  • looks hard too do i might fuck up lol

  • @jayrock1987

    i changed my mind..

I'm just going to pay the shop..

damn i might fuck up too.. lol

  • Yeah they make it look easy just like in college but when u go too do it something always go wrong..

  • @jayrock1987 its not that hard, just dont be a dirty ass mexican and half ass it on your mini van, if you half ass it or are cheao and buy shittty tint or just have no clue what your doing youll get bubbles, pealing, and if you buy black tint and use windex to clean your windows you will get purple see through tinting

just take your time and buty expensive tinting that has a lifetime warranty and your set

  • @jayrock1987 word

  • gannman51 i understand wat ur saying but i wouldnt get 5% if its illegal cuz ur simply drawing more attention 2 yourself

  • @guywithdatonguering Nonononoonon, thats a great idea.

  • lol, i kinda tried to do my own tint one time, i failed, so i had mine tinted with that fade shit. and over like 2 years that shit gets more transparent, now i see rite thru it... well 2morrow i'm doin my own again, but i gotta take apart my door for another reason, so im just gonna take my windows out and do them... lol, that'll make it sooo much easier, i'm doin 5% which is illegal here, but i only drive to work and college now that my license is suspended, so i wont be seen much anyway....HA

  • I ordered the Gila application set w/ tools and pre-cut tints off ebay on the 16th of december. I recieved them today and was so anxious to install it on my monte carlo. I only needed to do the driver/passenger side front windows. I got the drivers side on properly, but i fucked up the passenger side tint as i was applying it under the rubber moulding. I'm so fucking pissed off i just blew 70$ just like that. Now I know, that a job like this requires a pro to look after.

  • ive tinted alot of windows in my day and by no means am i a pro but i like usin windex with no amonia it seems to work the best for me ive tried soap and stuff buy always get dry pockets under it.. but damn my tint jobs NEVER go this easy this is some BS.. he must have tinted a window or two in his day

  • DUDE this VId was fuckin ridiculous!!! it wa so on point, the narrator...Love him!

  • The narrator did a great job explaining everything. Thanks for the nice tutorial.

  • hehe he said stroke gentley

  • @bleedthedead you like that don't you?
