"There is absolutely no prospect, at the moment, that would make us believe that unemployment numbers is going to be below nine percent. ...I went through and looked--since 2009--how many times (Obama) has said, 'Jobs: priority number one; The sustained focus of this administration will be jobs...' Nobody believes that anymore." --Arianna Huffington to Lawrence O'Donnell, MSNBC, Aug. 4, 2011

Here is an idea. There will be no more killings related to money. To end all future killings related to robberies we need to shut down the paper currency. The system will incorporate electronic currency transactions. The entire system, everything, will be based on electronic money transactions. The system is secure and safe. There will be 7 Types of Money Cards.
We're tired of the academy awards speeches. We'd like to see some real, relevant action. Not acting. But I guess things were just too messed up when you took office to do anything about. That will take another term, I keep forgetting. It's not the immediate lack of results that bothers us; we can be patient. It's the small thinking and juvenile decisions that guarantee steps backward that give your intentions and ability away, but only to the trained eye that can see past the podium performance.
Man, you talk so great. i don't even care what you do, as long as you keep sounding intelligent and in control. i can't stand how proper your english is, you must be a genius. I believe everything you say, just by how you say it. I would like to also be considered intelligent, contemplative and insightful, so I will follow you and defend you. (Eat balls, you're destroying this country).
SHOW ME you fucker i'm about to loose my house there's nothing here for work, why don't you get rid of the illegal mexican so american can have what few jobs we have , you let big companys in small town LOAD up with them, you'll be voted out ,NO second term for you stupid ass
It is beyond me how conservatives can run the economy into the ditch and then have the nerve to tell everyone that they are the ones that know how to fix it. I'm sure there is a better plan out there, but do you think that the ones who messed things up are the ones who have the best plan? I can't tell you how much I seriously doubt that. If it was up to conservatives we'd have a full blown depression. You know it's true
You are forgetting that Bush had 7 consecutive years of economic growth, better growth than Clinton. You also forgot to mention that the Democrats have had complete control of the government since Jan. 2007. Isn't that precisely when the shit hit the fan? Weird! Remember when the Government went on August break just as the housing market crashed? Remember when the Republicans said to NOT conveen Congress and stay in DC and work on the economy?
I can not believe you are defending Bush. I guess a lot of people thought Hoover was a great president too. To each his own I guess. Hoover's screw ups did set the stage for FDR. Since things were so bad FDR had a free hand in fixing them. I guess Bush did the same thing for Obama.
I'm not defending Bush. I just stated easily verifyable facts. I can't belive you stand by Obama since he hasn't kept one campaign promise, killed the dollar, forced through a reckless stimulus package and is behind our irresponsible Congress for pushing a health-control bill that a high majority of American's disapprove of.
A lot of liberals say that Bush was the worst President ever, but I guess they forgot about Carter.
Also, Clinton has a suplus by gutting the military budget. Easy math.
ya unfortunately we have left it to obama who has quadrupled the deficit, continued to bail out corporations, and the dollar continues to decline. Just look at the price of gold. He keeps saying that he has pulled the economy from the brink but i guarantee you that the worst is yet to come. and FDR did not fix the economy. in fact he delayed the recovery from happening. and this healthcare plan, which is horrible economically, will lead to more job losses and ever increasing debt.
Bush was far from the conservatism he needed to have, and I dislike some of the more "liberal" things he has done, but I understand it wasn't Bush's fault.
I agree 100%. Our current government is high on power and completely out of control. Bulldozing a HC bill that they have to jump through legal loopholes to pass, that has a mere 32% approval is brazen and obvious that our Senators have lost focus on what their job really is. It's about time American's took this country back!
he is so naive, russian has been fooling nations with their own agenda for centuries. they have not changed their agenda and Obama is too narcissist to realize that they don't care what he does or thinks,.
You're naive...you republicans seem to forget that the moronic psycho boy bush began the recovery plan himself after he trashed our economy in the first place...it must be nice to be nutcase republican and to live your life in complete denial...living on fantasy island must be nice.
skyman:it was gaithner himself who engineered that stupid bailout,it was an error listing to him and thinking he knew something, clearly he didn't.
now obama has increased government's finger into everything. it is you that is in denial as it is evident this is making thing worse than they should be. i have lived throught several dem presidents and they have always messed things up more for everyone. no one is perfect but some make more mistakes than others.
Obama is not socializing anything. At some point in time you have to grow up and gain knowledge. Obama is corporatizing the economy. These are neoliberal policies (right-wing). I mean he's afraid of hurting the insurance companies so he's put single payer out of teh equation. Bailing out corporations is Corporatism not Socialism. Socialism is pooling the people's tax money together to create services for THE PEOPLE.
socialism is increasing the power of govt and taking away the power from the people. If we actually had free market capitalism, we wouldnt be in this mess. Everyone blames this recession on capitalism but it is the federal reserve that leveraged the financial institutions and fannie and freddie basically created a duopoly of the mortgage market. Socialism creates no incentive to work harder, take risks and for innovation. Whenever the govt interferes they always make it worse.
the govt has effed up our educational system and it is because of them that college prices are so high. also, due to so many regulations, we cant buy healthcare across state lines which decreases competition. The govt continues to subsidize insurance lobbyists, drug companies, etc. trust me man if the govt stopped meddling into everything we would be much better off. on top of that the govt is going to significanly weaken the dollar which will eventually destroy the consumer and the economy.
Wait, if the Recovery Act was so successful, then why did you announce the American Jobs Act last week?
