  • PRAY FOR MOYLESY!

  • Please could you email a better quality version of this video about Chris Moyles talking up church to bendalglish@hotmail.com asap. Many thanks...

  • I agree that it is great what they do there and don't wanna hate, but that church looks kinda boring to so many services I've been to. :L

  • Praise the LORD!!! WOHO!!! :D

  • absolutely awesome. whether its mumble or its jumping shouting clapping, God is great and worthy to be praised! THIS is awesome! Two great characters Jesus and Chris Moyles too ;)

  • the full version of this is about 12 minutes and during that chris moyles NEVER puts the church down!!!

  • @ChristianNuts - yes it was a great ad for church in the UK!

  • The senior pastor of this church used to teach me history - he focused on 'salvation by faith alone' when it came to the reformation. I wonder why? ;)

  • Check out trafalgar square this saturday (25th June 2011) people happening live - its gonna be banging - see you there

  • hello peeps

  • Okay people's stop getting excited CHris Moyles says nothing positive about Christianity. He says he is amazed at the production of the church service and nothing more. The other guy in the studio says that "it can only be a good thing" but comeone- stop grabbing at straws here. And also - why is it so good that a marriage-avoiding, over-drinking, foul-mouthed lout should talk about what he was watching in bed with his girlfriend? Not a great role model for the church is he...

  • It's amazing how so many people who aren't Christians suddenly know what it's all about. Bit like me saying I've never flown a plane before but I could teach you a thing or two about being a pilot. Seen comments on here slaggin Christians off as hate mongers... Slightly hypocritical don't ya think!!

  • You need to come to my church ;)

  • There must be more to life than eating, sleeping, working and then dying... Is money power or sex the ultimate purpose for living? In the UK the tide is turning! Lifting people's focus from the mundane to the miraculous one step at a time.

  • @stevejay2005 GREAT - you've watched Brian Cox too!!!! Yes, it's amazing isn't it? I absolutely love the two series' he's just done. I can honestly say that I am no longer afraid to die thanks to Professor Cox. I think these programmes should be on a perpetual loop on all channels for a month across the world so people all over can be lifted from the mundane to the amazing!!!!

  • i don't even like chris moyles much but i think this is great he is truly facinated by this service and its nice to hear something truly possitive about christianity from a none christian, it doesn't really happen that much i mean just listen to how unconfortable the others are they can't wait to get of the subject.

  • Chris is displaying the 'I'm surprised that such nonsense goes on over here! I mean in America yeah; but not here...' response.

    This was also my response.

Fun and happiness are good, but not when it has lies at its core.

  • Once more Moyles proves to be a cunt.

  • So it's all about being happy? Nevermind if it's true or not.

  • Theres lots of Churchs like this!!!!!!! Hay

  • wow love it!

  • let's hope these people can enjoy their religion and faith without directing hatred or judgement towards other people, as so many christians take joy in doing!

  • Brilliant- Chris should come to CCK, Brighton. He'd love it!

  • PLEASE DO NOT LET EVANGELISM ENTER THE UK! Don't let our citizens be brainwashed by this sinister movement. Don't let the evangelists tell you what to think. Don't give them any money. Don't let our children's minds be poisoned by this superstitious nonsense. Think for yourselves! You'll find life much more enjoyable. Wiki the follow names - Jimmy Swaggart, Ted Haggard, Jerry Falwell, all infamous US evangelists. You have the evidence there, do you want to associate with such movements? NO NO NO

  • @cambola4 You're a bit late there my friend. God's been in the UK since the beginning. I mean, he created it. Do you really believe that you were created from a big explosion? Do you really believe that you're just an accident? If you're an accident there's no point of you're existence. You're just forever walking around in circles, making the same mistakes over and over again. And this is exactly where making our own decisions takes us. going around in circles until we eventually die....

  • @samohTB1810 Thx 4 the note. I do not know how we got here, but I don't "believe" blindly in your solution. Science and reason, however, are arguing for a big bang which stacks up. You're going to ask me what came before that. I'm happy to admit I don't know. But nor do you. Religion just makes up a god to try to answer the question - BUT WITH ABSOLUTELY NO EVIDENCE. There probably isn't much of a 'reason' for our being here and it does not bother me, 'cos I just get on and enjoy life.

  • @samohTB1810 The key thing here is that you have just arrogantly claimed to know the truth (i.e. that god created, the UK, me etc). And your religious people never provide any proof, because, of course, there isn't any. There's a lot we don't know about this world of ours, but science is helping us find out. Yet, you reigious people claim to know what's going to happen in a next life? Come on, get real. You probably have the mental capacity to think for yourself, you don't need medieval books.

  • @cambola4 ....There is a way out of this pointless repetition. Jesus said "I am the WAY." Jesus is the way out of the ever-ending spiral of death. Here's a scary thought: You can either experience death for all of eternity or you can experience LIFE for all of eternity. and both options are exaggerated 100x of what we know of in this earthly realm. I don't know about you but eternal life that's 100x better than this life sounds like a good option!

  • @samohTB1810 Again, you're just accepting what some book written in the infancy of man says. Just listen to yourself. I don't care what jesus said or was supposed to have said. Much of the bible was written by people far from the events in both location and time. I think eternal life would be my idea of hell. Accept that you are very lucky to be one of the ones who is alive and that one day you'll die. So enjoy your life without fear of some made-up celestial supervisor and withough superstition

  • @cambola4 You want scientific proof? Dr. Caroline leaf is very knowledgeable on the Brain. I was filming her talking at a women's conference at our church. She has undoubtable proof. Search Dr. Caroline Leaf on youtube and you should find the same talk.

  • @samohTB1810 I can't believe I listened to that woman's babble. How on earth is any of that proof, let alone "scientific proof"? The first bit was some very general stuff about the psychology of mind (with the tree allegory). Nothing original. Then the non-sequitur about god starts. No slides. No evidence. Just assertions which she expects us to swallow. Please tell me: Does she have direct line to god? What arrogance to presume such privileged knowledge. This is not evidence, but religious tripe

  • @cambola4 Everyone who has a true relationship with God has a direct line with God. And on that note I shall stop defending a God who's amazing enough to defend himself. Have a nice day mate. :)

  • @samohTB1810 Moreover, at no stage does she explain how we got here, and what we're doing here. I thought this was the point of our conversation. This woman is just a life counsellor, big deal. She offers not insights or reasons for the meaning of life, however much she dresses her babble in well-known, unoriginal established medical/psychological science.

  • What if Chris Moyles dies and goes to the gates of heaven to find muhammad standing there?? Maybe even Osiris or Thor!

  • I love this! Church experience so amazing that the unchurched can't stop talking about it.

  • I dislike Chris Moyles sometimes, but God bless him for this. The sheer wonder in his voice is immense.

  • Hey everyone have u heard about Christian music topping the ukcharts! Buy history maker by delirous on the starting from the 28th join in on facebook all money collected will go to charity spread the word! We want Jesus number 1 at Easter!

  • This is great but I love my church even if it is more traditional

  • Oi! Author man. Stop marking comments as spam! That does you no favours. You obviously just don't like what people are saying.

  • Hey Chris, come to Carnmoney Presbyterian Church , Carnmoney Road, Carnmoney and see this happening every week . You would be very welcome.

    ( In Northern Ireland)

  • this puts hope into my heart =) xx

  • Woo Jesus is affecting the media ! Thats what we want.

  • There are so many Churches focussed on Money, Monuments and Maintenance - forgetting about the Message, Mission and Meaning.

We need to come together as one body, the Church, to turn our faith around and use what "yougonasorry" described as marketing to bring people back to God.

  • Comment removed

  • one word: marketing

  • The best kind of worship, lots of energy and passion. Amen

  • how can a preacher abolish ure sins? How can GOD have a son?? WHY has the bible been changed so many times?

there are so many questions surrounding tthat religion, that I do not trust it at all, I would rather be more interested in Buddha

  • A preacher can not abolish sin, God CAN Being baptized is just a public way to say you're saved

How can God have a son? If you created the whole of everything you could do it too Also If you could understand evrything God did than you would be God.

The Bible being changed so much, I'm not sure to what you are referring to.

I suggest you check out Dr. Don Bierle and his book Surprised by Faith he was an atheist who investigated the Bible to disprove it and found only things proving it was true!

  • Just a quick note - Jesus was not created. He existed eternally - i.e. before the creation of the world and will do for eternity. God has existed, exists and always will exist in 3 persons - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

  • funny watchin it but im not into cults

  • What Christian fundies need to remember is - whilst you say how brilliant your faith is, your religion still held the human race back by about 700 hundred years. So whilst we could have been looking for explanations for disease and so on, we were saying, "Oh i'm ill, a big man in the sky must have done it." You know someone that died of cancer? Maybe if religion hadn't gotten in the way we could have cured her.

  • no, that's ppl holding themselves back, not our faith..obv we believe that we have God given ability and talents that we should apply to help mankind whether they are christian or not, so if any1 interpreted it as " oh God must have made them ill, just leave it alone" thats incorrect accordin to our faith n the NT in particular,-and i'm not sure if the "christians" 700 yrs ago were what u would call "fundys", certainly not pentecostal like the ones in this church!

  • Wow , your hangups have hangups of their own. Did you have a bad experience with a Christian once?

700 years, eh? That would be roughly from when until when?

  • @SuperAnon9001 what the hell are you talking about

  • "ive been to gigs with less atmosphere" what a line!! C'mon chris, Jesus loves you!!

  • Is it always better Chris?.

Apply a bit of thought instead of just jumping in like a muppet.

Would jesus not respect search for the truth rather than a blind gamble?.

Sure, jesus may exist, but believing due to fear is no way to live.

  • This is what church should be like.

  • Comment removed

  • What church is this?! It looks really awesome and fun =)

  • kingsgate community church in peterborough

  • Pentacostal.

  • Praise God - this is pretty amazin! Totally agree with No1GraceSian - God offers it all and not the world - Chris could be like a little evangelist - and just in case he sees that most evangelical churches r like this Chris so there is definately one near u similar and alive because everyone is in love with Jesus - praise God x

  • i go to this church its amazing!

  • @carlitocoolio Indeed it is!

  • Mini swimming pool LOL! It's a baptistry! :) I'm glad he's seen another side of church! Church isn't boring though! Being a Christian is living a happy life for Jesus and resting on His unchanging love! :) \o/

  • Praise the Lord! God is speaking 2 these ppl! trust me things r changin... its getting better for the Church and worse 4 the world!...the world needs 2see the joy God gives! the world cnt give it and the world cnt take it away!

  • The guy who runs the church is my Uncle (through marrigage).

I can see the fun in it, but it's just not for me. I watched the show on iPlayer.

  • I'm surprised by this, Chris Moyles usually takes the michael out of the church...it woz really encouraging 2 hear wot he had 2 say about this :)

  • Hey Chris Moyles - You sounded amazed at Kingsgate Church in Peterborough. Why not visit it? Or visit a small, but similar church like mine in Peterborough. Open Door Church, Peterborough. Dare you take up the challenge?

  • This is what being a Christian is all about

Jesus Christ is alive! And He can be in your life too if you just ask him in .Pray to Jesus. Repent you sins, and him to come into your life and be your Lord and Savior. And you will be saved forever. You will be a new creation in Christ Jesus! Amen

  • Thank goodness. Chris has got courage to speak his mind.

  • I just love the fact that chris moyles is so utterly and completely astounded by this and also of course that the people of kingsgate community church are so abandoned to the praise of God!

  • I love this song. We've been doing it quite a bit recently on Sundays and this week we've been doing it on the streets in Scarborough as a joint church event. Our worship team this morning was pentecostal/baptist/anglican/catholic all doing this and other songs. Come on Church, let's move forward together!

  • Chris Moyles hasn't watched the God Channel then.

  • What is an "unhealthy church"? Is that one with a leaky room?

  • This is like Jubilee church in Maidstone, we even sing the same song.

  • Who is this?? I am a jubileeite to!

  • Our church in Sheffield is similar to this :)

  • This is very similar to a happy nightclub - darkened room, big lights, big sound, uplifting music, dancing, but without the minuses... a style many can understand and relate to easily.

For the same reason, I reckon stuff about God/Jesus/the church should be expressed in plain current language, (like "The Message' does) because it actually is so sensible, relevant and understandable. It's almost a crime to obscure God with words and styles that people don't understand or relate to any more.

  • My church is Kingsgate church in Bury, and is very similar to this. I got baptised Sunday before last!

  • come on!!!!!!!

  • Go ahead in the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.

  • If you hadn't noticed, since Churches have become more like this, conversion rate has boomed. When I went to a 'smells and bells' Church, I couldn't feel God anywhere, now with a Church like this, I've made huge steps of faith.

  • There's a place for both styles of churches - modern pentecostal, and traditional. Pick whichever suits you. Avoid unhealthy churches, of course, but the style is more a matter of personal choice.

  • Wow. you can tell they all want want to know more :) :) I attend the church he's talking about, and Wow. Seriously. Wow.

  • yaaay jesus

  • I actually cryed with happiness watching this clip. GOD IS REALLY GREAT!!! and even that is a understatement to me :)

  • So brilliant! How they are discussing these meaningful things on the radio. GREAT! IVE JUST MADE THAT STEP TO BE BAPTISED! ive just turned 17 and it's amazing!

  • good on you!!!

and it kinda made me emotional too,but like the Hillsong united lyric .."WE WANT THE WORLD TO KNOW!" :D

  • I think your looking into this all wrong, it's a radio show there having fun.

  • This is good news! Praise GOD

  • Thanks to some great advice here I found a similar church in my town!!!

Im hopefully going there tomorrow to meet the pastor or whatever they are called and am going on sunday morning :)

  • Hey Mcruk! Have a blast! Don't leave us hanging... You gotta let us know what you thought!

  • AUDACIOUS CITY CHURCH!

In Manchester, go to this one - right near the M.E.N. SOOO GOOOOD!

I love this clip - this is what church should be, Chris is right - it IS uplifting.

  • Audacious is there this yr isnt it!! I was gonna go with my youth group in n.wales but i moved :(

I'm near Abundant life church in Bradford[Y]

they played this at an Elim church a few weeks ago aswell lol

  • Oooo is it ? :O

Ah cool :) I go to a Church in Denton (You probably have no idea where that is lol :) ) But on Some Sunday evening's we go to Audacious with youth and it's briiiiiiiiiillll.

    Bradford's near Manchester right...? :P

  • kinda.....its not far from Oldham I dont think...

are you close to the Audacious church? I spotted it whilst in Manchester when we past the M.E.N and I was like "it cant be...can it?!?" lol

  • Why i really want to go there!

me and some friends from church who are the youth are starting a huge band hopefully!! i can;t wait

  • I think you'll find that Tim Hughes's Happy Day is way up there among the Stuart Townend stuff on CCLI's charts...

Frequent one in the set at my home fellowship as well in Reading.

  • Same, but it seems like more of a penti song.

It could easily be heard at possibly a baptist or evangelical but it seems like an enthusiastic audience styled-song. My brother used to go on about it but I didn't see all the fuss..then the minister at church put this on,and as soon as it finished, the band began playing it. Love it!

  • Hmm - funny you should say that. Tim Hughes (who composed it) is worship director at Holy Trinity Brompton - a charismatic Anglican shack in London SW1...

  • Thats absolutely fantastic i always felt discouraged by chris moyles criticism of delirious on the radio but that has really lifted me

  • amen!! i love church

  • Yh I've been to 1 of them ... its really cool!!

  • I would love to attend a church like this.

  • do it!!! theres loads around

  • So where would I locate one????

  • UMMM

  • Ummm type in your home town into google then look for something like New frontiers international, church of christ or other key words like contemporary, charismatic church, might take a few weeks to find one you like, good luck :) happy church hunting :P

  • Yeah dark star had some good ideas. depends where you live. theres a thing called soul survivor or momentum which happen every year. There on in Aug. Its like that church everyday for 1/2 weeks and you camp there, thousands of people go. google it. hope it helps, write back x

  • soul survivors great!

  • haha i go to this church (the one in the video)

  • Same :)

  • Great to see what God can do through people in love with Him...keep on keeping on

  • Wow, well done to him for having the courage to say that. And well done to this church for giving it some!

  • its great that someone like chris moyles who has a lot of influence over people can realise that chuch isnt all hymns and organs and cold drafty and old buildings. lots of people really dont realise this adn its a great shame!! ive been inviting my buddies to come to my church and they were all really surprised that worshiping God can be fun!

And we played this song in our service last week. we have a band and i play the bass ^_^ i love it soo much!!! :)

  • I completely agree with you, I brought my mate along to band practice and she was surprised to see us playing drums bass and guitars, and I think she really enjoyed it :)

  • I remember waking up and hearing this on radio 1. it was great!

  • Comment removed

  • woooping and clapping !!! lol

  • well done to Dave and the team awesome guys!

    R. Taylor

  • This is great!!

    What a way to witness!

Sooooo glad to hear that someones noticed that church isnt all pews n hymns!!

I go to a free church n we have an amazing mixture of babies, kids, teens young men n women n middle agers n elder folk n it's brilliant

So glad to see that people are noticing that church id actually not so bad!! :)

  • Well that's great!!! It is a shame that he sounds so surprised to find that there are churches like this in the UK but what a great way to get the message of the gospel out on the radio without really meaning too. It is a sad reflection of society that a) he is so surprised to find that there are and b) he might have to "edit" the word Saviour coz it may be offensive. Jesus is our saviour and that is why it is a happy day :)

  • Well done Chris! How many times can you say "I have never seen anything like it!" or "amazing!!" in 5 minutes?... "This is the most fascinating thing I have ever seen"... "Truly amazing"... "I have never seen anything like that!"... Why not try going along one Sunday, Chris - who knows it may change your life :)

  • I wonder how many churches are going to be adding this clip to Easyworship playout schedules over the next few weeks? :-)

  • This is pretty amazing :)

  • my church is like that

  • fool! to interpret those without happiness is wrong - 'blessed' means happy

  • you have turned my sorrow into dancing, my tears into joy...

in everything we do, helping the poor, defending the weak we have to do with joy and happiness

  • Well, biblical quotes can prove anything. "Blessed are you who weep now for you will laugh" and "woe to you who laugh now for you will mourn and weep" suggests that we keep our rejoicing for judgement day

  • well done Church you look happy!!! Jesus told us to be happy!

  • Where did Jesus tell us to be happy. I thought he told us to repent and be baptised. I thought he told us to be faithful to God and stop oppressing the poor and weak.

  • Jesus told us not to be happy? You've clearly never looked into Christianity.

  • The bible says, 'For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. '

    I pray Chris gets saved.

  • Chris Moyles...he is awesome, i really enjoy his radio shows. I am going 2 pray4 him, Jesus is amazing, awesome & He loves everyone &i would love 2 see Chris saved!!There are many churches that are like this church but people do stereotype 2 be old fashioned etc..i did but you will never know until u go & find it out! I hope Chris goes 2 church!jesus...he has changed my life & he can change everyones if they want him 2!

  • My kinda Church! Find one near you!

  • Hallelujah! God is once again filling churches with his presence! If the nations EVER needed the Lord Jesus Christ before WE NEED HIM NOW! The Kingdom of 'God is party! "You have never seen anything like it"" cause YOU probably DONT know the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ! Once you invite him into your heart, YOU will understand why youth are rejoicing again! GOD IS IN THE HOUSE THERE IS NO DOUBT!

  • My children are involved in church and they love it. They have a choice like all of the children in our church which is another community church like this one. my kids go to a church run school and they love it! There is so much love and compassion amongst the teachers and staff. Bring on Revival!!

  • A child is no more a Christian than I am an alien. Does no one stop and think about what there doing? Conditioning, there is no other word that adequately describes the process, children into religions? At least let people grow up to a reasonable age so they are allowed to form an opinion as to whether or not to join your creepy cult of choice.

  • Well, it's the same for atheism - you're not really giving a child a choice about that are you? Not that I have a problem with people raising their kids atheist but my point is we all impart our worldviews to our kids no matter what. When they grow up they can make a choice for themselves, that doesn't mean you can't talk to them about your faith. That said, if raising them Christian means shoving rules down their throat, no thanks.

  • Excuse me! That is not only offensive, but it's complete nonsense. I was a child brought up a Christian (I'm sixteen now) and when I was younger I CHOSE to go to church. I remember privately pledging my life to Jesus. PRIVATELY. My parents never pressured me to do anything I didn't want to. For them, it was a nice way for me to meet friends and spend a sunday morning. Atheism is a 'choice' too. Thought about that? Huh?

  • An utterly daft comment! Young people are also able of making choices.......

  • BarnO you speak of "Conditioning" look what our society has done to our children. They are locked into a secular brain washing society that brings them nothing but disillusionment and unhappiness. They are fortunate if their Mum & Dad are their real Mum & Dad. As adults we cant even achieve stabile relationships that can benefit ourselves, our children or society; we in a mess but we dont like to be told that , we would rather joke and laugh about it.

  • Misery and suffering ARE the human conduction religion doesnt change that it just endeavors to put them in some mystical rationalization. Im not saying religion is wrong and im not saying its right, but what puts it on a different plan from the mass media that your talking about other than the fact its been around longer than what we have created more recently take for example the crusades -the reformation pope Pious iv- the power the pope has over contraception in Africa-abortion clinics?

  • One of the biggest hurdles is getting to see what it's really like. And once we do then not only do they have a pleasant surprise but we do as well! I'm a pastor and my church is 2/3 new converts! Brilliant!

  • Let's pray for Chris Moyles people, that he would be more and more interested in church and ultimately come to know Jesus as his Lord and Saviour.

Let's hope this infulences many people, this is the type of lively, joyful church service that will appeal to the un-churched as it's not boring.

Let's hope more people become interested in church because of this.

God's on the move in the UK.

    Amen.

  • This really inspires me to pray that the Lord would continue to draw people to him.

  • That's a very nice Ernie Ball musicman gutiar the electric guitarist has;)

And this is exactly what church SHOULD be and this is the side that everyone needs to see

  • everybody has a stereotypical view of church and it actually not what church is at all !! .This is worship!!!

    Hallelujah!!!!

  • HALELUJAH!

FINALLY! There are meetings like this going on all the time in England and yet noone ever hears about them!

Thank God that's changing as shown with this discussion on radio 1!

  • Moyles is either a very shrewd man aiming for demographics.....or has been spoken to by J.C.

    You decide.

  • My church is always like this!!!

This is real christianity in action.

Take a few weeks to explore Pentacostal/Evangalistic Christanity and who God is. You WILL be pleasantly surpised and you can find eternal life.God is real i found this out when i was 25, i had experienced all that life has to offer i thought until then AND NOTHING IN MY LIFE (OR MANY OTHER PEOPLES LIFES) COMPARES TO FINDING THE PEACE I FOUND IN JESUS.

  • this is so good! i listen to chris moyles every morning but i missed this one! there are so many churches round these days like this; sheffield - St thomas crookes, philadelphia, hope city. Nottingham - Vineyard etc. Praising God should be a celebration! This is how it should be! Praise the Lord!

Thank you Lord for getting this noticed!

    Amen x

  • this is what church is alway like isn't it?;) what would u do on a sunday morning, if not go to church i would be so bored.

  • look up some wicked bands hillsong, planetshakers, christafari, ordashious..brenton brown , jason upton, israel and the new breed- alpha and omega on you tube amazing song. mel and michael bristol

  • wow amazing the holy spirit hit you Mr moyles go for it....we all have ideas about church but wait till you experience pentecostal spirit filled places and you'll never be the same.....oh happy day happy day you wash my sins away....Go on get yourself to peterbourgh...jesus loves you chris moyles....God is moving in your life because when you finished the friday radio show the last thing you would of thought would be talking about amazing church was on your monday show..

  • well done mr moyles. very impressed.

  • woho go EUROPE!!! we are coming!!!!:)))) Get ready europe! cities will shake witht he sound of PRAISES!!

by the Way.. have you guys heard about hillsong church in london??:) you should visit it!:)

  • This is what we need more churches doing things that catches the eye of the media. Great job!

  • Rejoice! Heaven will be full of worship! Our hearts were made for worshipping God! Chris Moyles , Rejoice mate and your heart will be filled! FRONTLINE CHURCH, LIVERPOOL is similar for anyone who may be looking for a church in that area!

  • We really should have more churches like this - going for God so much! This service was really amazing, watched it after our church's Pentecost service, was really uplifting to see and encouraging. God belss you all xxx

  • Jesus is amazing.
