  • This is baloney! My wife & I went out and blew 10 bucks on the stupid expresso maker, 7 bucks on sugar and 8 bucks on the expresso. Following these instructions to the letter, what we got was lukewarm expresso (took about 30 min. to get started), no form or "spittle" or whatever they call it. Tasted terrrible!

I'm not Cuban. I'll leave making the Cuban coffee to them. Evidently there's something they're doing here they're not telling, Definitely it is was something we were not doing.

  • @daveinsouthflorida You need the 12-6 cloud! No wonder.

  • Buen provecho! Enjoy!

  • At this very moment, I'm sipping my first homemade cafecito, thanks to Don Cabrera. Thank you, sir, for letting us know how it's really done. Delicioso!

  • Thanx for the recipe .... Where I come from we use sambuca / annisette [either 1 instead of sugar] + 2-3 coffee beans {optional} on top . Did you ever have that ? Its : Siciliano / italiano ... Great video !! MUY BONITO / Bellisima .

  • Thanks! Most any "expresso" roast will work - beans double-roasted and a finer grind. I found Pilón, Bustelo, La Llave all do a good job, and they cost less than say a Starbuck's blend. It's more a style of coffee preparation.

  • Nice vid..... I bought by weight coffee "CUBA TURQUINO" I don't know if it's espresso, but maybe you know if this coffee is good for doing CUBAN COFFEE ???

  • Man I got hooked on café cubano in miami but any of that in texas

  • cut to the damn point

  • I just came from Miami, and I enjoyed drinking colada or cafe cubano. After watching your video, I went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and purchased Espresso Pot like you have in the video. I followed your instructions and it is perfect. Thanks for the information.

  • @greatness1975 Thanks!

  • @greatness1975

im going to get one too!!! hell yeah. good video!

  • I moved from NY to South Beach (Miami) and I love drinking this stuff now. It takes a lot of sugar for the espuma ( sugar/foam) to be so light and to make it taste " drinkable " so not a good choice for those that can't have sugar :p I love making it though w the lil espresso pot thingee like u have in the video. Good vid. Now search " cuban coffee the Miami way " on youtube and watch the ralphie may comedy skit about it. very funny and so true :)

  • Good vid, i never knew the secret was to mix the sugar with a little espresso first. Thanks for sharing!!

  • Muy buen video. Gracias!

  • Awesome video! Thank U! :)

  • de nada . . .

  • Perfect instructions! Just like Abuela taught me =) Many thanks from Tampa.

  • If i can do it, anybody can . . . enjoy!

  • Any body can make Cuban Coffee it doesn't take a Rocket Science to know that. or does it.

  • Thanks for the tip I love this type of coffee cant have it any other way.

  • Soflo23 - Somehow the question about where to find the coffeemaker in Miami got removed(?), but i have bought them at both Publix and Sedanos, and the last time i was there i got one at Walgreen's. I think Sedanos has the biggest selection of sizes. Good luck!

  • good job on the video

im cuban and you make some pretty dam good cuban coffee congrats man

  • this is an old italian trick to make crema with a bialetti, and i have no clue how this is called cuban coffee. but hey.

  • @TurcoDon lol Great point! In fact, There is nothing Cuban about today's Cuban coffee in the u.s. The beans are grown in Brazil or Colombia, the coffee machine is made in Italy, and the person who serves it to you from a sidewalk cafeteria is most likely going to be from Nicaragua,Colombia, Argentina, or anywhere else but Cuba!

  • sweet. thus cuban guy from my job showed me the sugar premix technique. I'm lazy so I just use an electronic mixer at the end to create the foam. I'm in miami so this is essential to my survival here.

  • Great video! THE BEST instruction of all. Thanks.

  • mmmmmm..I love me some Bustelo...but I remember when my mom had one of those coffee makers...great memories...thnx 4 posting

  • @turbonetic777 Bustelo is columbian but there are some brands that are "made in miami" and the beans are smuggled in from cuba : )

  • You have the best how to video on making cafe' cubano. Thanks so much!

  • Thanks alot Cabrera now I'm addicted. I got the 3 cup size first but then I ordered the 1 cup. Regular coffee just doesn't taste right anymore.

  • Thanks alot Cabrera, you made my day! :) "great video saludos".

    y yo soy boricua.

  • @ Kalakeke15 a quien le importa

  • you sir are a great man, now i know how its done, very good tutorial. its funny but if i were to see you in person, i wouldve never thought youd be latin american. but that makes two of us being that i get told that all the time. my family is from the neighboring dominican republic and are of dutch and canary island background.

  • Great video! You're very funny! Nice kitchen!

  • OYE QUE BOLLA!!!

  • I went to south miami (north cuba) and ordered a brick, i was wondering why it cost 20,000, Then i realized i bought a keilo of coke, now my coffe is really really strong.

  • lo delicioso que ademas experimente del cafe cubano en Miami fue la parte social al compartirlo en pequenos vasitos de una colada con otras personas. Gracias cubanos.

  • great video. I've been searching for something like this for a long time--thanks.

  • that's funny ....u should be playing guitar! not doing coffees! haha

  • Yeah! I made my first cafe cubano using your instructions! I made it too sweet, but I will soon perfect the recipe as I experiment. I'm enjoying it now as I compose this message. Thanks Bill!

  • @cryptorick , im sure you did it right because cuban coffee is really sweet.

  • Great tutorial! We were all laughing when you said "don't worry, my hands are clean." Hahahahaha!
