this thing does not take 12mpix pictures. 6mpix and in reality you could expect 2000x1500 in a fair quality, still worse than most compacts.

I went 10 years into the future to get a cheap 42" Sony Plasma TV. Found out Sony got bought out by Panasonic in 2014, 3D HD is all the rage - apparently 3d tv is coming next year, then the 3D HD a few years later, just thought Id share this.

Hey SilatHazwan. I have been thinking the same thing. I only have an old SDTV, but I own a HD camcorder. I tryed to look 5 years ahead. Then you can buy a high quality 40inch screen very cheap. But I can not bring high quality recordings "back" if you didn´t record them in high quality. My conclusion was buy a good camcorder now and the screen later. Actually I have a Canon HV20 but I am thinking about upgrading my camcorder again instead of my TV.
