The towers did not fall into their footprints, they spread out and fell into many other buildings, which were also damaged and collapsed.
Firefighters on scene knew wtc 7 was going to collapse because of the way it was leaning and buckling, thats why they pulled it, meaning pulled the rescue operation and got everyone out of the building. Pull it is NOT a demolition term.
Towers 3, 4, 5, 6 also collapsed but STILL no explosives found! Where are they??

@zly81 More stuff you didn't read - To apply thermite to a large steel column, approximately 0.13 lb of thermite would be needed to heat and melt each pound of steel. For a steel column that weighs approximately 1,000 lbs. per foot, at least 100 lbs. of thermite would need to be placed around the column, ignited, and remain in contact with the vertical steel surface as the thermite reaction took place.

Separate from the WTC towers investigation, NIST researchers estimated that at least 0.13 pounds of thermite would be required to heat each pound of a steel section to approximately 700 degrees Celsius (the temperature at which steel weakens substantially).

The birther rumor didn't start with Republicans, it actually started with Hillary's people when they wanted to defeat Obama for the 2008 Dem nomination. It took on a life of its own after that. Hatch is a moron, but he's not wrong in that, as President, Obama really should have cleared this all up 2 yrs ago instead of spending $2M defending against releasing it.
