Tamers has cards and biomerging, Frontier has the kids turn into Digimon themselves, Data Squad/Savers is what it would be like if there was an organisation in the real world related to Digimon, Xros Wards has armies of Digimon instead of single partners.. look at the Pokémon anime.. they don't try new things at all, and that show is widely regarded as horrible.
