Very good! But you have to loosen up a little bit. In authentic performance practice it's ok to add ornaments at the cadence for example. Also you should end in more of a flurry in those last two measures. Be a little more showy. Why? After all these pieces began life as improvisations just like in jazz.
No way son - I played this for an exam a few years ago and this tempo is just about how I approached it. And I had a teacher who's brought out CDs, so the wee guy's done well.
I disagree. This tempo is just fine and about as fast as it should be. Even a little slower would be okay. I certainly would not play it any faster than this. Remember that these pieces are played in a setting with a lot of reverb and you have to give time for the pipes to speak. Any faster than this and it becomes muddy. Slow and stately is fine. It's not a race to get to the end of the piece.
i like it!

I don't like this version... honestly, where are the strong beats (first and third)? and the toccata should be more improvisatory.
It sounds like a long line of notes with no meaning...

You did a very respectable job! Congratulations. I hope you inspire other young people to "take up" the organ.

no one knows for sure how fast these pieces should be, it is a personal thing. These kind of piece can't be rushed or you miss the sound experience.
