@themack411 Definitely at risk for rolling an ankle. Absolutely no support there. So doing something like playing basketball would not be a good idea. But personally I love these shoes. Wear them every time I workout. I definitely prefer these over any other shoe in the gym.
@broodm Great for martial arts. A lot of MMA guys are using these during their workouts to replicate a barefoot experience they would feel in the cage while still protecting their foot during training. Five Fingers are really constructed well so durability should not be an issue for you.
Yo you know that there's a size chart on their website? You basically take the distance from the back of your heel to your longest toe, and convert it with a chart, and it'll tell you which size to get.
Hey thanks for reviewing these. I'm picking between the KomodoSport, the Bikila and the KSO's, im not sure which one i should get can you help me out? I play football but obviously these will be used for gym workouts and agility/speed training as well as light cardio. From my decription which do you think i should get?
@RepThisTV I would go with the KomodoSport .. They are specifically designed to do more aggressive training like weight lifting, plyos, and footwork stuff. The 2nd velcro strap in the back of the KomodoSports is really nice for a secure fit as well.
@ttothejizay@RepThisTV I never tried the Komodos, I got Bikilia and KSO and with KSO i ran on street, treadmill and track, and I used to do, P90x and Tactfit comando they worked pretty good for me... I think Komodos and Bikilia have more rubber and cushioned... good luck
Good to see an athlete review this. How are these for powercleans, plyos and other explosive exercises. Have you done any agility exercises such as 3 cone drills, ladder drills, etc.
Athletes gotta stop being herded by all that new technology and cushioning from Nike. Stay Safe and continue to Train Hard.
@mastergrim8 Thank you. They are great for explosive exercises. That's what I like them for the most. Great for powercleans, squats, ploys, dead lifts, lunges, all that stuff. You really get this great sense of balance with them. They are also good for agility stuff, just be careful with some of the hard cuts side to side, but that being said they have great traction. Ladder work would be great with these.
@phoenixtruong01 I'm not sure on UK sizing but here is a sizing chart for US sizing. I don't know how much it will help but it's something: You have to go to vibramfivefingersDOTcom and click on sizing (sorry won't let me post the url). I found the Komodo Sports to be a little tight for their size, but nothing too bad.
@Iwillcrushyou0208 These were my first pair of vibrams, so yes they will work for beginners. They might be even better for beginners because of the insole that they have, maybe an easier transition from regular shoes.
@xbellaxbrutalityx I'm not a rock climber, but I imagine these would be great for that. The rubber sole is good for foot protection and I would think the light weight and flexibility of the shoe would be awesome for maneuvering around on the rock.
@ttothejizay Thanks! I've been eyeing these for some time now, and I want one that I can use both for working out and for climbing. Your video was really helpful by the way!!
@TheTexasBoy210 If you plan to swim in these shoes, I'd try out one of the other styles like a KSO or Flow. The reason why is there is a small sole insert in the komodo sports, and it would absorb water. Other than that, they would be great water shoes, because the rest of the material is a lite almost neoprene type material.
@aldrinisLEGIT Yes they would be. They have great traction and are about as light as you can get for a shoe. I do jumping and plyometrics in them a lot. Like I said in the video though, there is no ankle support so be careful in that regard.
So two months in how do you feel about them? I gave all but one pair of my regular shoes to good will. Maybe an update video? I do my work in the gym and my runs in the classics and thinking about dropping the coin for these. It's warming up and time for plyo.
@jalidkalid I love them thus far. I am thinking about doing an update video soon. I do all my workouts in these as well. Everything just feels so much more natural. Also something I've been impressed with is how well the shoe and the treads on the shoe have held up. I've done a lot of sprints up hills on pavement and the shoe still holds strong. I too have also started doing more plyos and stair work since the summer has been approaching. Really an awesome shoe for that type of stuff.
I just bought the komono sports today haven't tried them yet but I've been watchin reviews like yours n got a wealth of knowledge and im glad that alot of ppl have alot of good things to say bout them so thanks yo imma break them in tomorrow morning.
@popsurf1011 They fit very snug on me. My toe is pretty much right up there to the top. However I heard if you are going to error on size, error on the shoe being a size too big, especially if you plan to do a lot of running, you don't want your toe jamming into the edge of the shoe while you are running miles upon miles. Definitely try a pair on before you decide to buy.
Haha I'm the ONLY one who wears them at my gym!! I run and lift with them and I have the best flexibility and balance! I see some people stretch barefoot they have no idea how much these would benefit them!! They are amazing hands down I will never go back!

@MarioAllDrunkAboutIt It is called Mortons toe, but the case is actually the big toe is too small. not trying to be mean just saying! oh and @ttothejizay nice job on pronouncing vibram! i rarely hear someone pronounce it correctly!
@jaywalker4 I bought 2 pairs of komodosport vibrams. the first time i used them i ran 2 miles on them. the next day my legs felt broken from above my knees all the way down to the tip of my toes. i guess i just had to break them in. they don't hurt as much anymore. oh and i don't have any pain on my shins after i run, as i would do with running shoes. thanks for the great review.
Thanks y'all. @thefoehammer91 , I have not skipped in them yet. But like I said in the review, they would be good for all that stuff. Great for boxing I'm sure. They'll definitely force you to use new muscles you haven't before. I would ease yourself into them though. I've heard of people trying to do too much in them, too fast. So take it slow when you first get them
I want those now, i was wondering if they'd be good for sprints/runs etc, and you confirmed that they put extra stress on your calves. From a boxers perspective that's really coming handy, seeing as you need to spend so much time on your toes. have you skipped in them yet?
maybe i'm wrong, but those shoes look like an injury waiting to happen...

Can anyone tell me if the sizes are well fitted or a little loose??
Reason for asking is because I want to buy a pair for my partner but he is normally a size 11UK but sometimes can fit into a 10UK shoe...
Should I get the 45 or 46 Euro size????
Please someone reply
