Yes I am a huge supporter of the Armed forces . What sickens me is the huge divide between Officers and men. It is like the Victorian days in the Army. Check the Homeless statistics for ex Army , be honest about the current housing available to non Officers and their families. Things have to change and it has to be started by an Officer with the balls and dignity to promote the well being of the British Army as a whole. I hope that Great man will come.

Clearly you are wrong as there is video evidence(see guardian) of Ian Tomlinson ( a non protester on his way home from work ) being attacked from behind by baron and then thrown to the ground. He was not in the protest crowd at the time. Whilst on floor he is seen talking to police who do not help him. He died moments later. Your venom is misplaced and has no relation to event sthat transpired that day. You sound like ex police / armed forces .

Yes i was watching the interesting footage on the news earlier this evening. The police officer clearly over reacted and should not of used force in such a case however the lets wait for the IPCC report on it all. The guy seemed to be pretty out of it before the contact with the police took place.

The police overreacted! Bottom ;line. Regardless of what your views are on the validity or social status of those protesting, the police killed an innocent man. THe IPCC have already released false information in regards to this. As for out of it, Mr Tomlinson managed to navigate the police who bumped into him and beat him for it., It seems they were "out of it". Post mortem didn't show alcohol and you can believe the police scum would latch on to that if they could.

The police officer that hit him did go overboard, and should be investigated fully along with the other police with him at the time. However he was looking pretty out of it before contact with the cop, and we shouldnt forget he got back up after falling to the ground and walked for 5 mins to another location. So the police didnt know he wasnt well

The real point is there were over 10,000 police deployed for these operations, clearly one over stepped the mark but it goes to show that the police tactics of kettleing wasnt to blame, it was one officer over reacted and abusing his power.

There is nothing wrong with kettling, it was an effective policing tactic which sadly liberals go nuts about. We had the world leaders in london that day, it was vital that protests which included hardcore european anarchists who burn anything they can to the ground were kept in line and in enclosed areas.

It is of course totally unacceptable and illegal for a police officer to fail to show his police number whilst on duty, and there was a full review on this matter which got dealt with.

I strongly support the police tactics used which clearly worked, they kept the scum from destroying the city of London. A couple of smashed windows at RBS was the best they could get away with and even the scum responsible were rounded up and arrested / charged.

Police did a good job and the government and public majority support their actions, u can cry all u like. :)
