Yes I am a huge supporter of the Armed forces . What sickens me is the huge divide between Officers and men. It is like the Victorian days in the Army. Check the Homeless statistics for ex Army , be honest about the current housing available to non Officers and their families. Things have to change and it has to be started by an Officer with the balls and dignity to promote the well being of the British Army as a whole. I hope that Great man will come.
I am anti-capitalism protester. I feel sorry for Ian Tomlinson. Fucken police officer who hit him should b burned alive. Now police will investigate and do nothing. If a rich person or politician has died they would arrest police officer straight away. Now killer police officer is free n loose. shame on you Metropolitan police

Good job the police had to clear the way. They have done amazing work over the past few days keeping London safe and preventing the anarchists from burning down the heart of the UKs financial center.
Those responsible for violence yesterday will be hunted down and arrested. :)
You know nothing about London... you don't live here. You have no Idea of Greater London police policy or tactic's let alone the conduct which has been witnessed by many for decades at legal demonstrations. Your views are prehistoric, racist and inflammatory. Looked at your channel... you have Nazi support!!! Your an establishment watcher.... don't try and call yourself British!!
Racist?? Racist lmfao.. the protesting scum were kept in line and rightly so. Otherwise we would of seen the mess like France had the other day with hotels set on fire.
U can cry all u like about police tactics, they worked. :)
Somebody died who wasn't protesting!! Is that the kind of Policing you condone? You were not there...in fact..have you ever protested? How are you able to form an opinion...you saw it on TV I imagine? What part of society that was present do you identify as scum..?majority was middle class and better educated than clearly you have been and for that matter that police who assaulted them. Our democracy is created by protest and objection...its what people have struggled for.
Lmao, what exactly were the scum that turned violent protesting for? They simply moan about things and offer little solutions, u have the environmental nuts who would destroy our economy, the anti capitalists who want us living in the stone age and the anarchists who want anarchy.. great choice and im sure its a worthy struggle
So far theres no evidence to suggest the police were responsible for the non protestors death. He had a heart attack, sadly dozens die of that every day, some in streets
Clearly you are wrong as there is video evidence(see guardian) of Ian Tomlinson ( a non protester on his way home from work ) being attacked from behind by baron and then thrown to the ground. He was not in the protest crowd at the time. Whilst on floor he is seen talking to police who do not help him. He died moments later. Your venom is misplaced and has no relation to event sthat transpired that day. You sound like ex police / armed forces .
Yes i was watching the interesting footage on the news earlier this evening. The police officer clearly over reacted and should not of used force in such a case however the lets wait for the IPCC report on it all. The guy seemed to be pretty out of it before the contact with the police took place.
The police overreacted! Bottom ;line. Regardless of what your views are on the validity or social status of those protesting, the police killed an innocent man. THe IPCC have already released false information in regards to this. As for out of it, Mr Tomlinson managed to navigate the police who bumped into him and beat him for it., It seems they were "out of it". Post mortem didn't show alcohol and you can believe the police scum would latch on to that if they could.
Lmao, well the video clearly shows he had contact with the police, although to say they beat him and killed him is certainly taking it to an extreme
The police officer that hit him did go overboard, and should be investigated fully along with the other police with him at the time. However he was looking pretty out of it before contact with the cop, and we shouldnt forget he got back up after falling to the ground and walked for 5 mins to another location. So the police didnt know he wasnt well
If the police used those tactics in an inner city area (not middle class protesters) they would get totally done over as they always do. Cowards :)
Preemptive assault does not work. You can not use French protests as a model for policing in the UK. I am sure your ex police...rush to judgment, lash out then retract as the evidence comes in !!! Typical police mentality.
The real point is there were over 10,000 police deployed for these operations, clearly one over stepped the mark but it goes to show that the police tactics of kettleing wasnt to blame, it was one officer over reacted and abusing his power.
Just like u protestors like to remind us all the majority of u were peaceful, the vast majority of the police acted within the law and did a bloody good job, even police are human though,
Get this.. I am not a protester..I am a professional citizen who is affluent. Who the fuck are you? You refer to yourself as us? Your country has become a corporation and your still blindly supporting it as if you are of any interest to its endeavors. The emergency and armed services have become enforcement officers of a corporation that has an agenda outside of a mindless patriot such as yourself. YOU ARE US... the very scum you despise. Stop being a dick and realise someone stole your flag!
@fukademous The United Kingdom has always been a corporation, the political parties, police, judicial system, armed forces, the government have always been private corporations as well.... This has been the way for hundreds of years... Its not new...
Kettling is being blamed by former MET Officers who are outraged at its indiscriminate use. Police used the same approach on totally peaceful areas as they did on the most violent areas,,RIOT police. Again I stress that if these protesters were true rioters / anarchists, Police would of taken a beating. It only takes 3 hard men to disarm 8 officers with batons. Police basically beat up a load of women and hippies. I am not proud of cunts who cant differentiate and use violence on the weak. SCUM
Lmao, the fact that a few hard men pose such a threat to our police force is why they had to use tough tactics, im sorry but the policing worked. Kettling is not to blame for that cop whos been suspended who hit the dead guy. We still dont know for sure that was the cause of his death anyway.
We know before hand the guy had been drinking, not the first time acorrding to reports. So a drunk got pushed to the ground. What concerns me more is the fact the cop didnt come forward earlier
@TheBritishWatcher The Policing worked? U r a fascist right? Do u NEVER drink? Cos u like a drink then its O.K for a Policeman to kill u? Or u think he was dying from alcohol poisoning before he was killed anyway so it don´t count? The copper that murdered the guy had his I.D removed as did others.... Why do u think Police would remove their I.D b4 going to Police a demonstration? What effect do u think herding a peaceful protesters into a corner for 5 hours no toilet, food or water will have?
There is nothing wrong with kettling, it was an effective policing tactic which sadly liberals go nuts about. We had the world leaders in london that day, it was vital that protests which included hardcore european anarchists who burn anything they can to the ground were kept in line and in enclosed areas.
It is of course totally unacceptable and illegal for a police officer to fail to show his police number whilst on duty, and there was a full review on this matter which got dealt with.
@TheBritishWatcher i believe there is 1 exception, which is anti terroist police, other than that, yes they should have there collar numbers displayed. Many forces are now introducing epaulettes with their initial and surname under the collar number.
@TheBritishWatcher The Rule of Law..Common Law? If u support the law of the land (Common Law) then u know that Ian Tomlinson was doing absolutely nothing unlawful...Also ´kettling´ peaceful protesters contradicts common law... Oh... And there is no left and right wing... Political Parties are all Corporations and registered as such... Politicians are just sales men... Anybody that buys into politics enough to define themselves by it has been brainwashed by a salesman...
Lmao no im not ex police however i have no problem showing huge support for our emergency servics and armed forces. Its a bit like that incident exposed a few years ago where some soldiers were beating iraqi kids who were acting up. Just because a few act outside of the law u cant paint everyone with the same brush.
Also its not just Frances police tactics, such methods are used across europe and we knew the same sort of anarchists were in London wanting to cause violence and trouble.
Alot of those people were students, they should be studying more or getting a job not messing up the streets of London. :)
I strongly support the police tactics used which clearly worked, they kept the scum from destroying the city of London. A couple of smashed windows at RBS was the best they could get away with and even the scum responsible were rounded up and arrested / charged.
Police did a good job and the government and public majority support their actions, u can cry all u like. :)
