@oioutzu i don't believe so or if you can you wouldn't see gains worth paying for without a turbo i useed to drive a 1994 c250 no turbo great car built like a tank and not too slow for a non turbo diesel

The C250 is resistant to that, unlike the CDI wich is more sensitive to effect increasing measures. That i can confirm when my CDI 220 broke. I had to buy new

fuel injektors on the common rail pump wich costed me a fortune. Nevertheless the effect gain is worth it. :) It kicks ass...

Might be worth changing the timing chain at around that mileage, as every 160,000kms of timing chain wear will result in the injection timing being retarded 2-3 degrees. So you're point of injection could be 6 degrees retarded by now unless you've made adjustments (rotating the pump on its mounting). Could get yourself noticeably more power and economy again ;)

I don't see why it should. In standard form these engines (OM605 Turbo) are lowly tuned at 155bhp and will run for 500,000kms and usually still pass a leakdown test. The chip this guy has will probably have taken the engine to around 190bhp. It's unlikely he'll ever have any problems at all relating to the extra power so long as he keeps on top of the servicing.

This is the real thing you know, I got a W211 220 cdi with 550.000 on the odometer.. just chiptuned it.. and a friend of me got a W210 220 cdi with 1.4 million on the odometer... he chipped it on 1.000.000.. and its still working..

out 250 Turbo diesel ('97) does 220 km/h with 4500rpm dont know witch modifications are on it but ist's fast..
