I live a few miles where this racist massacre happened. My great grandmother told me this story with tear filled eyes years ago. The cowardly demons had to crawl backwards to get in hell. My ancestors told me about people who commit crimes of this unholy caliber. They told me that when the "devil dogs" are sick and dying their victims constantly appear to them. Their eyes remain open at all times so that they see their just punishment. They beg for death but it arrives on slow wings.

I am a distant relative of Mary Turner. when i was younger i was told a ghost story...that when you go over that bridge you can still hear they a woman screaming...it wasnt until a memorial was put there that i put it together..little did i know it was a member of my family that they were talkin about. i still go over that bridge everyday. the memorial is not being kept up and under tha bridge is graffiti that reads "blood niggers" that had to done recently because they rebuilt the bridge.

Great presentation. The first time I heard about Mary Turner was when the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan told her story in one of his speeches.  Mary is just one of the many many African American victims during the Reconstruction/Lynching Era. May she rest in peace.

This documentary should be adapted into a major motion picture as 'Brave Heart" (the story of the Scottish warrior, William Wallace was. I feel this will be a lesson to the young blacks of today of how far we have come. Mel Gibson would be the best person to approach for this project.
