I'm pretty positive that you can quit the mission after you found the souvenir. Just because the game saves when you pick up collectables :)

How do u use the hologram on ps3 and what button???

First of all you need to equip it as an attachment for your weapon. Press the 'left' arrow button to bring up the attachment menu. After pressing the button once, you have the hologram ready for action. Press R1 and you will cast a double of yourself, running straight ahead. This is for the standard controls on PS3.
