No matter what you do, who you are ,or how much money you make in life, if you are a black African American, you will never fully amount to a level to be truly respected by whites any where, let alone United States. Do not give up because of it, but accept it and move on. MLK, Michael Jackson, Barack Obama, and a host of legendary blacks have made it as far as they can.,Yet has less respect and notoriety than that of a so called talented White with a voice like a black person. I love the video.
I can't even breath watching this...god help every self hating black men on this planet because there's more girls like this for me MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
@tbursee: She was married to her first husband, and produced a child. So whatever mindset one can gain from that, divorce is to be expected and accepted. So, who are you agian?
This inspires me soo much!! There can be beautiful women around each other without all the competition. And they're in the same industry. Most of us don't even have friends who are not in the same industry as us but are as jealous of us as they come this is truly inspiring.. !
@tbursee yeah black woman are the only ones that do that. you sound like a clown that has been living under a rock all ur life. wake up, lots of woman and men do it.
I think her high heels, jeans, etc. are smokin' Let's always find the positive things in one another. If I could I would love to meet all of you because I'm sure all of you have fine qualities=) As black women, it's time to embrace each other if nothing else. I know this is a lil' sappy 4 some but healing is in order. Ladies let's heal one another and not kill one another. Watch your words because words are a powerful thing. Others do that already, let's not contribute. I pray you all have a
In some ways, I can agree with that, also they like versatility as do i. But what I really wanted to say is that I love all of you, my beautiful black sisters and I think all of you are beautiful just the way you are:) Do not feed the trolls anymore. Silence is a powerful weapon. Starve the troll by refusing to feed it. What others say do not matter. What matters is what we as black women think. Let's uplift one another without personal opinion. I may not like a sista's red and white weave but
Hello ladies, I usually don't comment on youtube but time and time again I have read so much hate on black vids both racial and from the same race. Black hair is versatile. It can be worn any way. I know because I myself wear my natural hair but when I get tired of natural styles, I wear everything from tracks to wigs and so forth. The black women I know do not wear relaxed or fake hair because they're trying to be like white women but because they feel it is easier to manage than natural hair.
Damn Gabrielle Union is amazing. She has to be one of the most beautiful women on the planet - and she's so sharp and witty to boot. Someone get her an Oscar-worthy role please!!!
The reason theres a sisterhood or bonding amongst blk actresses is bc the doors were closed 4 so long that even thought theyve opened up, the lack of roles 4 blk women is largely lacking. And the truth is, there should not be a role written 4 a "black woman".If a script is great & the right actress auditions, that should determine the cast but instead blk women r often eliminated from the competition bc its not "believable",bc H'wood Execs cant SEE them as the character, not bc they lack the talent
On a different note why can't some folks just enjoy the video and shut the hell up with the pointless, negative bs. If you don't like the vid just don't click on it period, and sit you ass in a corner somewhere.. The video is meant to be give a positive vibe and it does........
this was just too good to be true...did you see the sexy faces they were making during the photo shoot??? OMG!!! I can just imagine what they look like during a serious lovemaking session (The BUSINESS)
@TRESBELA.....I agree....they look great without the weave/extensions.....which are overly long.....Sanaa and Gabby has beautiful, natural shoulder-length hair and Nia has a great short cut.....give your hair a break ladies
Gab is funny..."Oh girl yor track is showing"....lol.......these three need to be in a movie together....playing sisters or two of them playing sisters or an action/adventure playing the villains.
We all have our preference when it comes to hair - w/ that being said, the comments on the video are of personal opinions from each person. But I don't understand why there's so much ridicule for the simple fact that these women aren't natural..? I'm natural - I rock locs- however I will not BASH another woman because she somehow is a supposed discredit because she isn't natural. W/ that perspective we are no different than those who aid & abet in this whole 'light skin v. dark skin' war.
@theNoirQu33n or any other conceptual divide created to keep us at war w/ each other. I wish we could simply CELEBRATE one another for her unique differences. Hopefully that'll come, through time and acceptance.
Unfortunate that an example of sisterhood she offered was if another black sista would tell her that her weave track was showing....smh... we have a long way to go ya'll... really. What if that sista advised you to take the damn weed out period.
@xoxonica Yes, we have a long way to go. But it's not because of a weave. More like single family homes, a backward education system, growing disparity in household incomes of minorities and non minorities, etc. See the bigger picture here. She's merely stating there is no undercutting, no envy in this sisterhood. Just real love and having each others backs.
@Jammingirl25 I don't take your reply to my comment as 'getting at my comment'.lol The overrall msg in the video is pleasant...however it struck me that we had a long way to go and the weave comment was a reminder of our standard of beauty. @respectdismoly Oh please find another video. There is a sisterhood/brotherhood amongst white women/men. It's unspoken yet it's heard clearly when you can hardly, in 2011, find black actresses in roles that aren't stereotypical and are allow them to truly display their talents. And guess what? You might not realize it, but we actually have other concerns...such that white women speaking of a sisterhood would not cause an outcry. LOL Can you believe it? We actually have bigger concerns.
@respectdismoly Are you okay? Maybe you are not well. Name 10 white actresses that you know of and then name 10 black actresses that you know of. You can't look them up. About 15% of the U.S. population is African American. Yep! You're not too bright, because white women don't need a "sisterhood" they get exposure on a day to day basis without stereotypes... And what makes these women stand out in particular that they are brown (darker)-skinned actresses. Ignorance is bliss for many I guess
@respectdismoly Oh please, white women have had things handed to them on a silver platter for years. I assume that you are a black woman. If so, you should be happy to see sistahs in Hollywood stick together and be real life friends. If you are a white woman then your ignorant response doesn't surprise me.
they could've pick a better trio of beauty sexy hot sistas, those women are great actresses and models. they are curvy and sexy. they are real you can see it.
lol, Gabby is funny w/ the whole track deal. when she first said it I was like "why would you have a track on your head?!, then i realized. blk women where i'm from don't wear extra things in their hair
They are all gorgeous but imo Sanaa is the most stunning. I am very proud to come from a group of the most beautiful women on the planet. If the world sleeps on black beauty then the world isnt even worthy of it.
These women make me appreciate who I am as a black woman. I mean I love all my sistas, but there are times that Hollywood stresses that light skinned is best when we all are super gorgeous on the inside as well as out. I really love who I am. Thanks Nia, Gabriell, and Sanna.

im so proud to be a black woman. i love the sisterhood of these three women, i really wish i had sincere female friends that wouldn't hate on another female just because she was prospering or was beautiful. its so sad to see females tear each other apart in that way :-(
@WhereYaBoss plus weave pulls on the hair leaving bald spots. lol i dont want my whole beautiful race of black people have Alopecia. (not saying that i own balck people or anything or made them)
@trini4eve9 I do not see anything wrong with black women wearing weaves if they want to. Just like I don't see anything wrong with them wearing makeup and earrings. What another woman wants to do with her hair is her perogative.
@WhereYaBoss ya but essence always had this idea that weave is good ahir, i've neevr seen a black womenw tih their natural ahir on the cover. you tell me who HUH? and you didnt answer my question
@trini4eve9 Obviously you don't subscribe to the magazine because I had countless of their magazine covers pass over my threshold with women in their natural hair. Essence started in 1970 when AFROs were the in style and bald heads. Cornrolls came and they were on the cover, same with jheri curls and braided extensions, relaxers and now weaves. Recognize a hair trend when you see one and be done with it. ITS JUST HURR!
@trini4eve9 in agreement w/ WhereYaBoss. essence's initial covers only featured women w/ their natural hair. which is probably why they've been around for over 3 decades because they started out staying true to natural black beauty. and of course now, black women have the option to rock whatever they want on top. each to her own and each is beautiful!
that's the beauty of black women: chocolate, mocha, caramel, honey, pecan you name it. we come in sooo many hues and variations of brown and that makes each and everyone of us beautiful in their own unique way!
I ALMOST CRIED TO SEE THESE BEAUTIFUL, SUCCESSFUL, GORGEOUS, STRONG WOMEN! THIS VIDEO GAVE ME THE LITTLE PUSH I NEED TO KEEP MOVING TOWARDS MY GOAL! MWAH!
black women have so much flavour and beauty, look at how gorgeous they look, absolutely stunning! their skin tone is so rich and sexy. dark skin women are hot, i should know! :-)
Black Women are such beutiful people :3 screw the stereotypes and the idiots who think you gotta be light as my walls to be pretty. I'm proud to be black and always will be hell we ARE were its at!
@FIGHTFANNERD3 Dude, really My comment is like 3 freaking months old if anyone's the moron it's you for not thinking. Also if you really knew those actress none of them are really light skinned,Either way you completly missed my point which I really don't feel like elaborating on. Your just a troll or a realy rude person :/
@BlakeBarbieDoll I know right : ) I feel the same way about Cameron Diaz, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lopez, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Charlize Theron. I would love to see them without their weaves in a movie. But that's hollywood. Everyone is wearing extra hair including the men. Nicolas Cage, John Travolta, etc. faithfully wear lace fronts.
@WhereYaBoss John Travolta and Nick Cage have lace fronts??? OH NO! I always thought that was John's hair. I am sure he is still a cutie pie without it too.
@BlakeBarbieDoll LOL! People overlook the fact that John Travolta and Nick Cage have gone bald and think nothing of it when they appear in movies with a headful of hair. But let a sister get extension and Houston, we have a problem...No one ever say anything about all the white actresses who wear weaves and phony-ponies in their movies and at premieres....I go to a white hair salon and I see most of the clients getting extensions & tracks put it. Yet we get hit with the "weave stereotype"
"ooh girl yo track is showing!" lol

trini4eve9 1 year ago

BlakeBarbieDoll 1 year ago
@BlakeBarbieDoll I know right : ) I feel the same way about Cameron Diaz, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lopez, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Charlize Theron. I would love to see them without their weaves in a movie. But that's hollywood. Everyone is wearing extra hair including the men. Nicolas Cage, John Travolta, etc. faithfully wear lace fronts.
WhereYaBoss 1 year ago 3
@WhereYaBoss John Travolta and Nick Cage have lace fronts??? OH NO! I always thought that was John's hair. I am sure he is still a cutie pie without it too.
BlakeBarbieDoll 1 year ago
@BlakeBarbieDoll LOL! People overlook the fact that John Travolta and Nick Cage have gone bald and think nothing of it when they appear in movies with a headful of hair. But let a sister get extension and Houston, we have a problem...No one ever say anything about all the white actresses who wear weaves and phony-ponies in their movies and at premieres....I go to a white hair salon and I see most of the clients getting extensions & tracks put it. Yet we get hit with the "weave stereotype"
WhereYaBoss 1 year ago 10
@WhereYaBoss black women wear more weave than any other race. why does everyone try to use this white women thing and think its gonna work LOLLL
