@walkTHROUGHwizard100 why 3 weapons? It's unwise, you won't be able to fully upgrade them so that they do heavy damage, so you are left with average guns against hordes of enemies. I used Plasma Cutter, but I guess, that's your business.
A reminder - if you beat the game on normal difficulty without dying (I made it on my first playthrough), beating it on impossible is just a little bit harder. Just don't overwrite your save files until you are confident that you picked every item and will be able to procceed to the next level (have enough money).
P.S. one more tip (ignore this retarded video) - UPGRADE YOUR STASIS as fast as possible. I upgraded it fully when I reached chapter 5 or 6, but it's wise to upgrade your plasma cutter FIRST, then STASIS. And then SUIT. That's it. I won't repeat myself saying that this video is so lame that the author should be ashamed of his retardedness.
this is the worst video I saw on Dead Space ever. You are retarded. Stasis and the malee attack??? It does almost NOTHING in Dead Space for monsters (and it takes very much time and stasis). Malee attack is useful only in Dead Space 2. I recommend to use stasis for accurate shooting or in crowd control situations. I just passed impossible mode, so I know what I'm talking about. Well you can buy the astrosuit from PSN 25 inventory and 30% armour. You may use it on the first store of chapter one. Easy way if your not still ready for impossible mode. plus with the hidden codes/cheats stasis and air cans are useless only to be sold for nodes, ammo and health. want more tips just reply me.

@RandomKing3000 I thought that too... apparently, that's why it's called "impossible" hehe. But still, it's not that hard when you upgrade your Plasma Cutter and Stasis. It's quite fun actually. And by the way, you don't have to kill every enemy you encounter (like I did most of the time). Sometimes running away saves you more ammo than you would get after killing the monsters.

If you ask me, impossible mode isn't that hard! If you check every corner for ammo and shoot first enemys legs and then arms, you'll soon have a save full of ammo stacks. Also, if you only use stasis in groups of enemys and go back for stasis-stations, you wont need upgraded armor or those chea... hidden unitologist codes ( kinda noobish huh? ;) ).

Ok after you beat the game on either easy,medium, or hard dont continue that game. Start a new game on a new slot in the save spaces and choose the impossible difficulty.
TIPS:If u have the tank DLC use that armor it is the most durrable.
If you have other DLCs with plasma cutters put the plasma cutters in your inventory.(you will get more ammo this way) Also sell all stasis and air cans there are codes to refill your air and stasis

Hardcore mode is harder than Impossible mode since you start over from the bottom and have to work back up to the top and you only have three saves and enemys can kill you easily also ammo is you guessed it scarce.

@council1027 No.... You have to play about 2-3 times on impossible to get upgraded EVERY weapon and your rig on max. (If you got some spare money you don't need and buy nodes, it'll be faster but, in impossible mode you gonna need every single credit to buy ammo and med packs.) That's 1+ for Dead Space 2 that you can change difficulty whenever you want.

What the fuck is with ppl and ammo,I had almost 100K left in the end. Also I had bought a shitload of power nodes AND I started from scratch, didnt find a way to load up my hard mode and changing it to impossible,so I made a new game with impossible and had no problems.
I used only plastma cutter,wich is actually quite easy to do,since then you can sell every other ammo,also there is NO need to buy a single med pack during this playtrough,since they drop like insane.

@EgagLatsev You can only use your upgrades if you're restarting a new game on the same difficulty. You can't just beat it on easy and then start off on impossible with the military suit and full R.I.G. upgrades.

@XeamersX yea man equipment only carries over to the difficulty you already beat it on you cant carry it over to impossible unfortunately =/ but it makes the game more fun that way i just started my impossible run and breezed pass chapter 1 =P
Another question.... i started impossible mode right after i beat the game on easy and i had military suit and fully upgraded plasma, rig, and stasis, kinesis but when i restarted i had everything gone... why?
@BiHOps cause it doesnt carry over , many games does that when you play the very hard setting you gotta start from scratch it only work for hard mode and below.
All these tips are cheating. I used very little stasis and only a Level 3 suit. Died hundreds of times. Too used to not using it very much on Medium.

Impossible was hard, yes, but I didn't die and played through it twice, no cheating or upgraded items/armour from start, just me and my trusty plamsa cutter.
@Apathesis0 Conserve ammo, and after a while it get's slightly predictable. Plasma Cutter (Fully Upgraded), Line Gun and Contact Beam. Also I got to the bit where you return to the place where you start, and ran out of ammo, but stasis and melee is a scary combo to use on impossible :)

@Paradox949 Dead Space 2 is good. Really intense fights, but definitely not as scary. It's been aptly compared to Aliens, while the first is compared to Alien.
On my second run through on Impossible. Chapter 3, on a rape fest. Using the PC, rifle, line rack, and force gun. The Ripper is f'ing useless now though.
I think the reason I got my ass handed to me is that I was constantly striving for perfection, and I had not played the game in a year. I literally forgot so much about the game.

I don't get it. You totally suck and you try to play on impossible mode. For what? I've just completed game on impossible while ago, without any upgrades and suit level 1 at start and it wasn't really impossible. It was hard but it was fun to do this.
Impossible mode was indeed very possible, I only died a few times during my entire playthrough. I thought of a new challenge which I'm attempting now. Impossible mode using only an un-upgraded Plasma Cutter and the Level 1 suit. Also, no upgrades to ANY equipment, and trips to the Shop and Bench are forbidden. Anyone who is as crazy as I am, feel free to join in! XD

i have questions....first of all how do you unlock impossible mode? ive beat the game on both medium and easy many times but im working my way threw hard, do i have to beat it on hard to unlock impossible? and my second question is how can you tranfer equipment over to another difficulty? when i beat easy i couldnt tranfer it over to medium, when i beat it on medium i couldnt transfer it over to hard? im just confused and all....so if someone could reply to my questions i would appreciate it!

yea im dead serious, the game glitched up on me i realized that so i deleted the whole game, beat it and then it said i unlocked impossible mode...i for real beat that game to many times lol

please explain exactly how to start a game on impossible directly after beating it on a lower level please i seem to just keep playing on easy been through the game a couple times now and im rdy to start on impossible but i want all my upgraded stuff so please respond

@EgagLatsev You can only use your upgrades if you're restarting a new game on the same difficulty. You can't just beat it on easy and then start off on impossible with the military suit and full R.I.G. upgrades.

@XeamersX yea man equipment only carries over to the difficulty you already beat it on you cant carry it over to impossible unfortunately =/ but it makes the game more fun that way i just started my impossible run and breezed pass chapter 1 =P

Another question.... i started impossible mode right after i beat the game on easy and i had military suit and fully upgraded plasma, rig, and stasis, kinesis but when i restarted i had everything gone... why?

@BiHOps cause it doesnt carry over , many games does that when you play the very hard setting you gotta start from scratch it only work for hard mode and below.

All these tips are cheating. I used very little stasis and only a Level 3 suit. Died hundreds of times. Too used to not using it very much on Medium.

I just recently borrowed Dead Space and im playing through the impossible difficulty and its easy (as long as you keep your distance and stasis if they get to close). Im gonna get this achievement the old school way, SKILL!!!!

@spicmanz Man, in a different game it may be unreasonable to use cheats in some ways but on impossible like he said at 0:55 and at 2:23 every thing is EXTREMLY scarse at all times during the game even in node rooms so don't blame the guy and trust ME when I say you wont be saying a word when you try it on that diffuclty

@Apathesis0 Conserve ammo, and after a while it get's slightly predictable. Plasma Cutter (Fully Upgraded), Line Gun and Contact Beam. Also I got to the bit where you return to the place where you start, and ran out of ammo, but stasis and melee is a scary combo to use on impossible :)
I need to buy Dead Space 2 though, you know if it's any good?

@Paradox949 Dead Space 2 is good. Really intense fights, but definitely not as scary. It's been aptly compared to Aliens, while the first is compared to Alien.
On my second run through on Impossible. Chapter 3, on a rape fest. Using the PC, rifle, line rack, and force gun. The Ripper is f'ing useless now though.
I think the reason I got my ass handed to me is that I was constantly striving for perfection, and I had not played the game in a year. I literally forgot so much about the game.

You know, if you use only the plasma cutter ammo really isn't that scarce on impossible. Simply brawling lone necromorphs is just a waste of time, there's still plenty of ammo.

I don't get it. You totally suck and you try to play on impossible mode. For what? I've just completed game on impossible while ago, without any upgrades and suit level 1 at start and it wasn't really impossible. It was hard but it was fun to do this.

Impossible mode was indeed very possible, I only died a few times during my entire playthrough. I thought of a new challenge which I'm attempting now. Impossible mode using only an un-upgraded Plasma Cutter and the Level 1 suit. Also, no upgrades to ANY equipment, and trips to the Shop and Bench are forbidden. Anyone who is as crazy as I am, feel free to join in! XD

@fwehbulous I beat Impossible mode with only the Plasma Cutter and a Fully Upgraded Suit. However, It only took me 4.7 Hours WITHOUT CHEATS. I wish I had video proof, because that really was a big achievement to do. I am going to start a new playthrough soon, so, I ACCEPT YOUR CHALLENGE! :3
