im trying to convince my parents to buy dvc but they wont seem to buy it even though i think ive tried everything. can somebody please give me some advice from someone who has disney vacation club. any help would be appreciated.
@jajabing1323 My parents are thinking about it, so we don't have a Disney Vacation Club membership yet, but I can tell you that if you know anybody with a DVC membership, then you can just put their name down as a reference and you can get a discount (i believe). Also, it's just the most amazing thing ive ever heard of and will eventually save you money. Seems expensive now, but its getting you free vacations after about 3 of them.
@114avataraang ye i agree it saves money and ive shown them that and they see how many thousands we will save but for some reason they still wont get it but they are starting to lean towards it. im not sure if u could get that discount on re-sale ones (re-sales make the most sense) but im gonna check that out
@114avataraang re-sales are the ones people put up for sale because they no longer need it they go for cheaper prices but are shorter (not by much). disney can refuse it though if its not a good enough price
@114avataraang DVC resales can be had for $65 a point. That is a big savings. You cannot use resale points for Disney Adventures for any resale sales that close after the end of March 2011. At this time there is no friends and family discount going (I recently checked for a friend) but that can change at any time. They will actually tell you at the DVC sales desk. Any DVC member would be your :"friend" - I never actually met the people that were my "friends". Currently the points are $120
@114avataraang On the issue of saving money. You can use your points during the most expensive time of year and save thousands. We have stayed over Christmas several times in a two bedroom condo there. Disney for Christmas is wonderful. This year the condo would have cost us $7,599 plus tax. We will use our points and it will not cost us anything more than our annual dues. 4 Christmas vacations and the DVC membership paid for itself.
the best investment for us we go every year and its there for my parents my grandkids and my daughter etc... thought was a bit much, but its worth the pay-off!!!
my tax retrn is spent....My famly have been going to disney for the past all most 10 years...
Tell me if I am wrong, but the way I understand it is with the smallest pln I could stay at fort wldrns for 3 weeks a year in my RV.....WoW that is cheep. I am looking at the 16,000 pln.

It cost us about 9K to buy in.. we financed it for only $90.00 per month. It is the best investment we ever made in our family. If you decide to join up, please list my name - Randy Boquet as a reference, you will get a nice discount!!!
how much was it to buy in? my family has been thinking about it but my mom aunt and grand ma say that its to expensive but they tend to jump to conclusions, so how much was it?
good video, nice family. Well, we did it ! bought in to DVC . Been thinking of it for awhile.home will be Kadini Village at the AKL. Our Son is A cast member , My dad lives near by also . January's trip will be our number 11 trip to Disney world so it kinda made sense. We live in cold , snowy Pennsylvania. :-)
