I'd put money on it that either one of them would be able to get very similar tone to this on a peavey cirrus, or most other basses. The key is practice, after enough time your tone is in your hands and then you'll have it on virtually any bass you play.

Obviously we're seeing Marcus Miller on his Jazz. I'm not sure what Feraud is playing. But something that bugs me about bass amp manufacturers (all of them) is that you can never sample the sound on their websites with them using different bass guitars. In other words, I know what a Jazz bass and a Markbass amp sounds like. What about a P-bass? Musicman? Rickenbacker? Etc...
