When I heard about these guys was when they played at ragamufin in rotorua. the comments that came from my sister. but then it was my 15 yr old nephew who said they're the best he's heard. so I got their cd and wow they are the bluddy good. that cd was short lived cos some other bugger liked it more than me and stole it.
Saw these guys last night in Sheffield. They played the carling academy 2 (small intimate room with a big sound system). Check them out if you ever get the chance. Brilliant dub/funk fusion with great voices, interchanging instruments, great energy and quality tunes. The atmosphere was electric and the band clearly loved the gig. Thanks very much for a brilliant night guys.
I disagree sunshine. Just got back from their Basque park gig & there were kids running round all over the place with families enjoying--what I believe to be--music that DOES in fact appeal to quite a wide audience (at least in NZ).Dirty riffs accompanied by wicked singing and siiik heavy beats. As for releasing more songs and becoming a "success"; I think they are more interested in doing the live gigs.Maybe you havent had the fortune of attending a live act;mate they are Meke as.
you may need to get your hearing aid checked??These guys have probably the widest range of music ever. It's great to see such an amazing family break boundries. GO HARD BOYS!
if they released 'more better songs n appeald to a wider audience'they wouldnt b kora wud they, theyd b sum fukn money makin bullshit n not in if for the music like they r now, thats wat makes them so good, they r a success already go listen to sum elvis ronald
i dont think this guys hating on kora. what im thinking he's meaning is that they have mean songs but he wants to see more great music and take it to a wider audience to be even more successful. you guys need to read the question abit better before posting comments like that and drummer boy you need to clarify your comment abit better but otherwise
As far as I know they're known worldwide and besides, Stu lives on the otherside of my back fence...They're quite popular in Canada and some parts of the USA
