I experimented with the 'mini cobra' a while back--I called it the X Weave--and you can see an example in Xtreme Xyloexplosive Xperiments at about 2:10. (I called it a Ring Bomb because I did it in a ring instead of linearly). It's an OK weave, but you can't do S-curves with it very well or it tends to explode...
