We cannot let corporate power go unchecked. We need to use the constitution to prevent corporate totalitarianism, not to increase corporate power and capitalism. Ron Paul, the Libertarian (NOT the constitutionalist), would increase corporate power. As the adage goes,"Those who don't know their history..." Kucinich knows his history, respects the constitution, and he would check corporate power. Kucinich is the best, perhaps only, option.
Doesn't anyone here know about The Libery League? Go to google video and key in : Plot to Overthrow FDR. Everyone here should watch this History Channel documentary on how conservative corporate powers (JP Morgan, Ford, Rockefeller, Bush) in America, inspired by Mussolini, secretly planned to overthrow the presidency of FDR and put in place a dictatorship (kind of like we frequently did in South America later on) using disgruntled ex-military under the guise of "protecting the Constitution".
A Forrest Gump moment. My 3rd grade teacher left teaching to be Dennis's first wife. I hated him for that cuz she was hot and I liked her. But as I got older and saw the work he did I kind of felt a funny sense of pride. In many ways Dennis is like us, struggling each day to keep going. He looks at the world and asks what he can do to make it a better place, then tries to do something about it. And since he is like us he has solutions that are in our favor not big business or the rich.
To have Kucinich's honesty and character leading our country would be the best thing that has happened to this country since our Independence! We need to start over and regain our ideals, hopes and dreams for the best that we can be. Kucinich is a leader for the best in all of the people. Voting for Kucinich is voting for COURAGE to stand up to the greed that has overtaken this country. Vote for Kucinich and give goodness, high ideals and honesty a chance to change the world for the better.
Looked like some of them were reading from a script either way Gravel helped end Vietnam and DK seems to be the only one willing to fly with the public are not politicians supposed to find out what people want?
He may not be glamorous but he isn't running for American Idol. He has experience, ideas, real passion and commitment. Follow the money, look at the record and you end up with Kucinich!
Last time I'll this. Alexandra is fine! This is a great and creative idea. The best thing about this campaign is how it's so far ahead of all the others in each party to embrace new ideas, technologies, aesthetics and messages in getting our agenda out there. I lack the resources to adopt, but we need more of this kind of project to keep up the fight and break through. Keep up the great work guys.

Oh man I really like this guy. I really think he should win but I think the Republicans are too strong (they got Rupper Murdoch and Fox News and right wing radio helping them) And sometimes I think Hillary can take on them. I'm still undecided but I will support any of the Democratic candidates.
It's very encouraging to see young people excited about working for Kucinich. He has my vote. Has anyone else noticed that when Kucinich speaks, that nauseous feeling that accompanies listening to most other politicians is replaced by a feeling of hope and elation?
Dennis is the modern day Abe Lincoln. I hope the other
democratic presidential runners don't try to keep him off the voting ballot. I am voting for him, he is on my MySpace site. Put him on your MySpace site too. Thanks.
Dennis has my vote. Kucinich rocks Oregon, he's the bomb. Keep pushing the lolly dems to impeach dickhead and geedumbya. Thank you so much for doing what you do. Thanks to the interns too, especially Alexandria.
p.s. What the hell is the deal with you critics that bust on the interns for reading their statements off of a paper? geedumbya has all his speeches scripted and is still too stupid to read them right.
Give it rest, the interns were great, Dennis is great, VOTE KUCINICH '08. Peace out.
Listen...your interns all seem like bright, energetic, stars that are working to make a difference. I believe you asked us to "rate" the video. Overall, I think it was great. From a "speech communications" perspective, I'd say that they need to rehearse their comments to a degree that they don't appear to be reading from notes during the taping. All of their words seem very honest, but the eye glances downward were distracting.
Dennis Kucinich is way ahead of the curve in terms of where humans should be as a species. War is a very primitive mindset - it is a very thoughtless way to address cultural differences. America should lead by example and Kucinich is the man to lead the country and help set that example. Peace is good and it is possible.
everybody please spread the word about kucinich to all your friends and family and coworkers. put a link on your website or myspace page. the more people who know, the better chance we have of having a president who will make this country a place we can all be proud of!
I am an Oklahoman for Dennis Kucinich and an American Department for Peace. I'm a 45 year old woman who was raised around right-wing people and ideas that hadn't been questioned for generations. Since I began making up my own mind some years ago, I find that I go farther and farther left. It's not so some people or celebs might like me and it's not to irritate right-wingers...it's my honest place in my life. Love to all...Cindy
Thank you all for standing up for Dennis Kucinich. He is the one candidate that has spoken truth to power, consistently, for 30 years.
He deserves all the great people helping him. He would make a great president. Just think ... a Department of Peace! Health care for all! New healthy industries supporting our economy ... a nation we can all can be proud of ... makes me want to go and fly my flag, again!
In 2004, I worked on Kucinich's campaign... and while I agree that he is the best Democratic candidate for 2008, Ron Paul is by and far the best overall candidate.
Kucinich would help our country in the short term, but any good he does will be undone by the next president. Ron Paul can save our country's future by taking us back to the constitution - something that future presidents will not be able alter.
For what it's worth, I am neither white nor racist.
The only racist statements attributed to Ron Paul came from a newsletter that he lent his name to in the early 90's, but did not personally write. He apologized for the newsletter years ago and has not expressed (verbally or in writing) similar views prior or since.
That's Ron's story and He's sticking to it but I can't ignore whats published. Ron Paul is a Racist and anti-semitic. You're not going to fool me non of you Ronheads are fooling me.
Nah, Ron Paul would just be another supporter of deregulation, privatization and Big Business - we don't need any more of those. We need school loans, public schools, we need Universal Healthcare, and Ron Paul doesn't get that. I support a few ideas of Ron Paul (Iraq, habeas corpus), but Kucinich already has those and more.
With what we'd save on taxes, everyone could afford adequate health care. The federal government has done our schools no favors. Kids are getting dumber every year. State and comminuty run schools are a much better idea. And with a free market approach, parents would have much more say in where/how their children are educated.
That's precisely the myth, that less taxation will increase the total earnings of the individual for them to spend on schools. The reality is that wholly private funded schools will increase the cost spent by the families who do have children to send to school - which are usually the ones on a budget - because less people are chipping in a percentage; and even if private schools open up in those areas, (if there even is a market for it) it will have little incentive to reduce costs.
I think you're missing a part of the equation. No one has suggested eliminating ALL taxes. Ron Paul wants to eliminate the federal income tax. State-run public schools would still exist as they do now, only they would be overseen only by the state Dept/Board of Education. The US Department of Education would be abolished... but that wouldn't eliminate any schools.
It would simply cut out the bureaucracy and allow states to decide how their schools will be run. No more nationwide standard testing, no NCLB, no reading first. No more programs that encourage teachers to teach kids how to take tests as opposed to teaching them to think and learn.
If you want to hear my response to the federal tax issue, check my comments on video
watch?v=HKRzIaFw8V8
on why we cannot eliminate federal taxes, and even if we could, why it would not be a good idea. For education funding, see below on the comments here.
By the way, I have no problem with state run schools funded by taxes (if possible in a state), nor with private schools. I just want the option for people to have public, tax funded schools, the kind that we have always had - and we need the Department of Education for this, financial support, but not for beaurocratic reasons like Bush's NCLB.
Like we've always had? Federal subsidizing of schools didn't begin until the 1950's.
Even today, federal funding makes up less than 10% of the amount spent on public education every year. The money comes from state funds and local property taxes. States would be able to better manage those funds without federal regulations and bureaucracy getting in the way. Each state has a board or dept of education. There's no need for a federal one, other than to line the pockets of paper pushers.
I didn't mean ALWAYS since the beginning of the nation. I do mean the kind we've had since the 50's, you know, the same kind of schools that made us the country with the best education system until recently. If you check, historically the role of the Dept. of Ed. has been minimal, anyway. 98% of its funding goes to the states themselves. We do need less bureaucracy, agreed, but we still need to distribute funding to states that might temporarily need it.
I strongly support Ron Paul, but Kucinich and Gravel are my favorite Democrats. I strongly support Dennis, all except the ban on hand guns because I support the Bill of Rights.
Hey, John here! No one wants to adopt me? Quite sad. =(
We weren't reading off of prompters. I was however looking down at notes I wrote so I wouldn't look like a total idiot to the nation.
Anyways, for all you guys posting about Alexandria. All I can say is that the video doesn't even begin to express her actual physical beauty or even more importantly her amazing mind and peaceful soul.
I think that 'Adopting an Intern' is a great idea on the part of the Kucinich campaign. Maybe it's intern solidarity, but I liked hearing why the interns were busting their butts for Kucinich. Very genuine... I didn't get the feeling that they were there to get a job down the line or so that they could add it to the ol' resume.
I'll adopt Alexandria. She's adorable! Of course all the guy interns are great too. It's wonderful that you are all giving your time to the best candidate I have ever known of in my life.
. . . sort of like most people who have to stand in front of a camera and speak, right? Let's see, Presidents, news anchors, comedy sketch performers, professional speakers . . . what was your point, again?
Excellent idea. I wish I had the resources to contribute, but I encourage those who do to support this program. These people are the ones we should want involved in politics as they're willing to work for the this agenda at the time when support for it is most needed. Best of success.
I see Chris Matthews has joined in the conspiracy to rig the democrat presidential elections. He delivered a messageon Hardball today from his corporate masters: A 2 on 1 "debate" between co-conspirators Clinton/Edwards vs Kucinich. Don't trust Chris Matthews.
Don't patronize us by saying it's not free, we pay for it with taxes!." Well we drive on city streets for FREE -- but we paid for their construction with taxes, they are FREE, -- the book at the library is FREE, -- the Fire Depatment, the Police Depatment etc., are FREE. ALL these are FREE services, collectively socialized and paid for with our tax dollars. To argue that health care -- a life & death issue for many -- should not be considered in the exact SAME league is LUDICROUS and ARCHAIC.
Seriously you all need to think about this: 1) What is "Liberty", 2) Has Dennis Kucinich or any other elected Congressional Leader voted consistently with the Constitution -- or do they vote special interest. 3) Kucinich and Ron Paul are the only ones the voted against the War 4) Go to Vote-smart dot org and start to analyse voting records --- this is far more telling than anything a candidate has to say.
I'm too much trouble to join the interns: I can't drive (because the Federal Government STOLE my ability to), and I can't move money over the internet (because the Federal Government STOLE My Independence)! I'm glad you're SAYING you'll change the Federal Government; but until you actually make repayment to me, I'm livestock-in-storage as far as you're concerned.
Dennis has my VOTE I LOVE him From Chicago living in Tennessee Kucinich needs to come to WEST Tennessee people dont know about him here Prapaganda KEEPS them in a Dark Dark Cave so come on Dennis come to UNION UNIVERSITY just come to WEST Tennessee I know they will LOVE you as I do GOD BLESS YOU KUCINICH !
Dam it this guy is the only one right on the issues, but the bottom line is corporate america lobbyists control who is elected. You aren't gonna win Dennis but I'm sending ya money brother!
Go Dennis Kucinich! Support HR333. I noticed Hillary Clinton's campaign videos on Youtube don't let people make comments. I think Hillary is against open debate. Call her and tell her to stop trying to limit presidential debates.
Correction to both of you: she does allow comments, a few very positive ones towards her to fill up the comments box, and then cuts off the rest. That's why I stop watching her videos - there's no opinion allowed besides hers.
Love you Dennis...I live in Australia and I hear you....You are Great....well done..

Very genuine... I didn't get the feeling that they were there to get a job down the line or so that they could add it to the ol' resume.
Good job guys, and keep thinking out of the box.

Ever notice how they have to read the teleprompts because they can't speak for themselves?
truthforamerica 4 years ago
. . . sort of like most people who have to stand in front of a camera and speak, right? Let's see, Presidents, news anchors, comedy sketch performers, professional speakers . . . what was your point, again?
MySecretPumkin 4 years ago
I work in the office and there are no teleprompters. The inters all wrote their own answers based on a few questions.

Excellent idea. I wish I had the resources to contribute, but I encourage those who do to support this program. These people are the ones we should want involved in politics as they're willing to work for the this agenda at the time when support for it is most needed. Best of success.

Dennis my #2 candidate but my #1 democrat go man go!!!

Hey Dennis, I am long term bored. Perhaps with socializing people stop being bored all the time, we really need this.

Go Dennis Kucinich! Support HR333. I noticed Hillary Clinton's campaign videos on Youtube don't let people make comments. I think Hillary is against open debate. Call her and tell her to stop trying to limit presidential debates.
bigsid920 4 years ago
Clinton won't allow comments on her videos because she knows how disliked she is by both the right and the genuine left.
Congest 4 years ago
Correction to both of you: she does allow comments, a few very positive ones towards her to fill up the comments box, and then cuts off the rest. That's why I stop watching her videos - there's no opinion allowed besides hers.
