Le kobaïen est une langue fascinante, la Zeuhl est une musique tout aussi fascinante. Je suis belge et j'entends toujours dire que les Français sont nuls en prononciation des langues étrangères. They tour the US occasionally and are incredible live. Keep an eye on the Prog Rock festivals like NEAR Fest.

Uhm, they played at NEARfest two years ago (and three years before that as well). I think it'll be at least a couple years before you see them come back to the US.

The only time they've done anything even remotely resembling a US tour was in 99, when they came over to play Progfest in San Francisco, and did about 4 other dates while they were here. I think in 2003 and 2006 (the years they were played NEARfest) they played NYC as well and that was it.

This is perhaps my favorite Magma album. I know a lot of the Kobaian lyrics by now.

This is a lovely performance, but I wonder what happened to Stella's countermelody at the beginning of this extract? On the album, when Antoine is chanting "Zir Etnah/Wir keuhmerattehn..." Stella is singing "Seh Iss dohn doh Se Onewi/Onewi sei..." It's really cool; so sad that they left it out here. (Sorry about the faulty orthography; I don't have Kobaian as a font option!)
