@CryptoCanedv2 Have you ever been to Glasto? The only advertising i've ever seen there is for Oxfam, Water Aid and Greenpeace and one branded cider stall which is usually Brothers or Gaymers which are both from the town of Glastonbury. Also at Glastonbury, i'd say about half of it isn't music orientated. There's the green crafts field, circus field, the stone circle, the cabaret tent, field of Avalon and a hell of a lot more, such as things in the Park area etc.
@holmes194 It's a massive misconception that Glastonbury is 'commercialised'. Yes it's famous, but that doesn't mean it's commercialised by any means. 50% of the profit that Glastonbury makes goes to charity. It annoys me that people group it with the likes of Leeds and V festival. They are not festivals, they are just money grabbing events with no soul. It's called Glastonbury Festival of CONTEMPORARY PERFORMING arts after all.
That was my yellow dinghy on the floating island! I am so happy to see this vid. We got to the festival, then realized we hadn't got any oars for our dinghy, so we made some by taping tent poles together with cut open beer cans at the end for paddles. I u look closely, u can see them up against the raft. We were all mashed off of our tits by this point. Had a wicked time on the island! Defo going to the next one.
How does this compare to Glastonbury? I'm debating going in 2012 when Glastonbury is off. It looks like it has a similar vibe to it.

such a good festival, i was so impressed. In terms of 'things to do' (as it were) it is unrivalled.
Compare to something like V (eek) which tries to sell you corporate brands at every eyeline
