Personally I could never choose between steel or wood because they both have their special elements of being the best and the most fun. Steel coasters are the best and the most fun because you got the inversions, the different ways to experience them [ex. floorless, inverted, flying, etc.] and the cooler elements [ex. Manta with the water wall element ]. Where as wood is the best and most fun because you have the wobbly shaking feeling & your more exposed to the coaster [ex. just a lap bar ].
I think woodies are better coasters since they rattle and shake but don't break. Also, I find them very beautiful structures when complete since you wood is never usually seen curved. Very graceful. I wish I could design coasters.
@Hieagandaus Global Warming isn't a myth, they proved that we're not affecting the environment as much as was thought previously. It's a known fact that if we have polar ice caps, we're still in an ice age. Once they're gone, it has to start again, it keeps looping. It's a natural process, we're just speeding it up.
@Hieagandaus exactly. people are making a big deal out of it because humans think they're far too important and clever to be wiped out, just because we're the dominant species. Take away our tools and our social systems, and we'd be near the bottom of the food chain. We have no survival skill whatsoever, we just managed to fashion weapons and hunting tools from objects we found. Partly the reason why I hate humans is because we think we're better than everything else on the planet!
@TheRandyChimp you hate humans because you are an ALIEN!!! lol just joking.but yeah i agree with you,i mean the earth goes through these cycles like puberty or periods lol idk. and it does what it does, but people take it way to seriously, and i don't like calling it ''global warming''
@Hieagandaus fair enough, but my point is, whilst we're not fully responsible for the ice caps melting, and whilst it is a natural occurence, it's happening too fast, and we're the cause for that.
You and about 50,000 other teenagers in the world that play Roller Coaster Tycoon....except that guy actually got a job because he was good enough! There just isn't the market of about 200 highly-specified careers to absorb all these graduates.
And guess what Jeff Pike said he wanted to be when he was little? Design roller coasters!
This is where knowledge comes into play. Of course i would love to be a roller coaster architect, the facts are pretty slim. But the fact that I learned NoLimits at age 9, gravity and forces at age 10, and became a coaster enthusiast around age 13, gives me a higher chance. Its not about clicking the mouse for a premade part, its about angles, determination, and knowledge.
Thanks for posting this! I am a coaster fanatic! I love theme parks, i love coaster and i love all theme park/ coaster specials that you have on here. I live in Florida so i am lucky. I also have passes for all theme parks in Florida. Seriously.

I play RCT....But I like to take the software apart and customize it. ;)

Bull... shit.
bigmuffexpress 7 months ago
How? It does not take much expertise to make quite significant modifications to many games, some more than others. And RCT is one of those games.
1RadicalOne 7 months ago
@1RadicalOne
Apart from custom tracks which anyone can make, you're talking shit! Custom tracks and scenery are hardly "taking the software apart"!
bigmuffexpress 7 months ago
No, how about things like remodeling buildings and rides? Or changing path self-interaction? Or perhaps effect of trees on various ride types?
Granted, RCT is less flexible than say, SimCity, but changes can still be made.
