Owned by life orb, man that was classic! Staraptor did save this match. It effectively ko'ed three pokemon counting the life orb Garchomp. Surf is riskier these days rembering that it hits your partner now too, so if he had close combat weakened Staraptor for instance, he'd end up in a lot of trouble he wouldn't really want. One thing, Quick attack vs frozen ninjask would have been better, if he unthawed which can happen and baton passed it was over.

looks more like Milotic saved you, and yea, surf is one of those STAB moves that's excellent for a special attacker like Milotic
